Hi Eddy , hopefully your reading this comment, everyone talks about the hard men back in the day but nobody mentions , John Doyle ,Dave Harewood apparently , anyway John Doyle was the main man and nobody too this day will fuck with him , hope all is well

I don't understand what led up to him being banned from that competition, seems like a lot to go through unless they had ssime real reason not to just allow him to compete. Maybe I missed something
He used to be a bouncer when I was in my early 20s at the Empire in Middlesbrough, he was an absolute Gent and unfortunately was slightly before camera phones were around or decent otherwise I'd have asked for a picture which I assume he would have been willing to take, for a while I thought he was a guy who looked like him because I didn't think someone of his calibre would be bouncing in the club I went fairly regularly but I guess it was obvious for his size but he was on TV etc. A lot at the time.
Was not empire that was Marty mandavillas door he was down by the bridge with Denny Hoyle . He ran I think a load down there spenselys etc
As in Eddie owned the company that ran all the doors I think he used to be hit like being out and about . We used to train in his gym in Hartlepool

@@samuelwoods164 i was at uni 1999 to 2006 I trained at Elwood’s. That was his prime competitors door. He was right down the bridge but hardly “ worked “ he just popped in to make sure the lads were ok .
@@FrancisDietPodcast no point in going round in circles but I didn't ever go to anywhere after hours but the Empire, the Crown and the Arena.... At one point they were putting decent bands on the empire and I saw him on the door there several times during a few week period every time I went, spoke to him etc. So I guess it was temporary but for a short period of time he was definitely there, I'd put my life on it.
