- Join us as we head over to Xtreme Fitness in Hartlepool on our next visit on the NAPA TV UK GYM TOUR. This quality gym has been handcrafted by the bodybuilding giant and 5 x NABBA Pro Mr Universe, Eddy Ellwood. Walking us through, NABBA Vice Chairman Eddy gives us a tour of the gym showing us the different areas and equipment on offer. Joined by John Hodgson, NAPA Athletes Gary and Elliott Ferguson are put to the test in yet another gruelling shoulders and triceps session. We also strip Gary down to see his condition just 9 days away from the NABBA England show 2016 with comparison footage from 15 weeks out. Ending with an insightful interview with Eddy who talks about his early career in bodybuilding, boxing and strongman, along with how he was once banned from the very federation he now represents... Enjoy! #teamnapa

I met Eddy almost 20 years ago. He guest posed in a competition I was doing in NABBA USA in New York. I won my class and overall in that show. Eddie was the current Mr. Universe and was just a great guy. Big as a house as I recall. This Gym looks like a great place to call home for a young competitor or anybody who wants to get in shape. It brings back a alot of good memories for me. This is where I would train if I were in the UK.
Very impressive gym, run by a gentleman and a scholar.
used to work for eddy a long time ago...good to see him still enthusiastic about sport and his advice is second to none. ..a good bloke.
I don't think I've ever seen such a honest frank interview. I'm from the North East and watched Big Eddie compete from the Junior British Isles show at Billingham to winning the Pro Universe . With a whole load of contests in between. He always competed in great shape and always seemed better with every contest.
He managed to do this throughout his career. Don't forget Britain's strongest man on a few occasions in between.
Great comment Chris, many thanks!
class vid! so much input from eddy, really good.
Gary Taylor , your thinking of John at 55mins in. Excellent vid, learnt a lot from this.
It's Fergy Time 👏👏👏👏
A lifetime of valuable knowledge from Eddy and John. Forget ego lifting, is the over riding message. Superb video.
very true! 100
Got a weak left arm/shoulder. Due to slight gap in number 6 disk in back. Right arm sound. Any advice?
Eddy should to go on james english podcast .
Fine big hunk of man
A good gym this, owned by Eddie Ellwood who I respect, I miss Trainning at his gym but left through certain member of staff, but Eddie n Lesley are very nice people
What did that "certain member of staff" do that made you leave?
I always judge a place by calf equipment, this place looks great
39:56 "I dont think that bodybuilding should start with squat??". Id like to understand all the sentence.
The two water babies is how Eddie was at one time but now look at him, he knows life and health is much better without gear. Let's hope the water babies realise before it's too late
2 old school bodybuilders from the 90s and 2000. Eddie was 6ft 5in and 310llb at a guest appearance I was at in Bedford and he was impressive
He's 6ft 1in i think
saw eddie compete in ifbb in nottingham gp...very big and conditioned
Great to hear, thanks for your comment!
just to the end....the mention of Mick Theo....he was a scary lookin monster...even just in bb monthly
Another 🐢 TMNT shell tum 🙄🙄 (posing routine) 🤦🏻♂️
Agreed! Nice video overall but damn that guys physique was a mess. For 9 days out he had no seperation, was flat, and his skin look washed out. His midsection control was non existent, bubblegut bonanza.
That's a proper gym. No nonsense training and leave ur ego at the door.
