SO sorry for my camera's focus, seems extra finicky this time. Let me know what you have inked and stay tuned for my 1 year on CZcams giveaway announcement coming soon! I will have something special for my 1st 10 Patreon members -but haven't figured it all out, I'm very open to ideas too. Thanks :)

you're back! It's good to see you again. I haven't tried a Faber Castell pen but I'll have to keep that berry color in mind. It's such an interesting shape and texture. Happy early YT anniversary! I will see you on patreon :)

Yeah, this has been my longest gap between videos. Just seems like so many things converged at the same time, and then the cold that wouldn't go away. I really appreciate your support, thank you! Stay tuned, I will have details on my CZcams-versary very soon.

I kind of stuck to a holiday theme throughout the holidays, so through January and going into February I'm focusing more on inks I just kind of feel like trying more so than any sort of theme. I got a Jinhao 92 (not to be confused with their 992) for Christmas and I have that inked up right now with Organics Studio Henry David Thoreau, and it's kind of great, the pen and the ink.
The 92 is a really slick metal pen and I got it in the blacked out colorway complete with a black coated nib, something I haven't seen from Jinhao before. It might just be my new favorite Jinhao pen. And Henry David Thoreau is this great teal ink with an insane amount of red sheen. It's kind of like Diamine Aurora Borealis if you turned the sheen up to 11, which may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it sure is mine. I have heard some some suggestions that Organics Studio inks may not actually be so fountain pen friendly, but sometimes you just have to live a little dangerously.... or maybe I should at least consider changing the ink before too much longer, but I am enjoying it quite a bit.

I'm sold on the Thoreau ink, that sounds like a must-try for sure. I really liked nitrogen but it was a bit finicky and it seemed to re-wet and spread all the time, lol.
The 92 looks amazing, but I probably wouldn't like the metal grip section. Have you found that to be slippery at all?

@@KendallW I actually haven't found it to be slippery. It might have something to do with the black coating on the blacked out version, the silver trim versions might be different in that regard, not sure.
