Your videos never go out of style. I’m finding them years later 😊
I rarely comment on videos but I must tell you, your videos are among my very favorites. You never belabor your remarks and I appreciate not having to watch an hour long video to get the same information that could be given in a much shorter time. Thank you for being so generous in sharing all your knowledge.
Thank you, Jeanne!
One suggestion; use your ring mandrel or ring bender to put a slight curve in your top statement coil, this will keep it from rocking or catching! I love this ring.
Cute ring. I enjoy your videos, but it would be really helpful if you showed larger and extended views of your completed pieces, either at the beginning or end of your videos.
Love this video and your others as well! You are a great teacher and don’t spend a lot of time with unnecessary conversation. So excited to try many of the techniques you’re teaching! Thank you!
It would be nice to see a close up of the finished project. Looks like a nice ring but can’t really tell without a closer look,
I was just going to say the same thing! TY
@@sandyperchez5571 ..I
I agree video was not close enough
Yas so rite
Agreed, couldn't really see what Susan was doing.
Susan, I love your teaching methods.
I like that there's no jabbering about unrelated topics. In just a few minutes I'm able to learn a new project to try and a new technique.
In this video you use a Wrap and Tap that is larger than the one I'm founding. Has this specific tool been discontinued? The largest I'm able to find is 20 mm being the largest loop.
Thank you for your videos!
You are a good teacher and you’re obviously very competent at making jewelry. I wanted so much to get into your video because I’m interested in making rings like this, but you made it in such a way that there was no focal point. At the beginning I wasn’t sure really what the ring looked like. You never stopped and showed us the detail of the construction of the finished ring. Nor did you show us at the end. The finished ring itself was barely featured. I’m not sure how much I like the ring because I didn’t get a good look at it in the passing glimpses. Sure, I tried stopping the video, enlarging the ring but they were such brief glimpses that you only got one perspective. I respectfully suggest that at the beginning you show the ring I.e. turn it around...show the back...the sides etc. That’s just a suggestion but I think it will make a difference to viewers like me.
Agreed
@@donnar9864 I don't understand what you mean by "there was no focal point." The focal point is the bead in the spiral.
I agree we need more up close shots of the ring and all the pieces you put together your videos are my favorite because I like wire working and soldering but most of the videos don’t do enough up close shots so we can see the small details
This is super cute! Love the design.
Fabulous and love the designs too.. love the ring💛💛💛💛💛
I love the videos that you have made. I like the way that you go step by step and let know what tools you are using.
Thank you ,love the ring.
Great thought and great performance. Thank you so much!
Love it! Thank you for sharing. I can't wait to try it
You are a wonderful teacher 🙏🏻
Love this one. I’m trying it!
BEAUTIFUL idea thanks for sharing your talent❣

Beautiful ring thank you for showing how to make it
Love it 🥰 I think this would be a great start for a beginner like me
Nice dainty ring. Thank you.
Loved the tutorial. Very well explained!
Thanks, Iris!
Love love love!!! You’re amazing. 🌈👍🏼🔨👌🏼❤️💜
I liked the video and the ring. Good job!
Very pretty, good lesson, thanks
I like the ring my dear but can u plz show how to make a simpler/more delicate/dainty ring..as the arthritis in my hands/fingers don't let me do too much. I am a TRUE BEGINNER & LUV jewelry making sooo much!! TY! 💞 your vids
Love it! I need more tools! I love your videos xx
Thank you!

I enjoy watching your video’s.
Love your videos but a close up view of the finished product would be awesome.
Such a pretty ring. Need hammers & bench block
Πολύ όμορφο δαχτυλίδι!
Θα προσπαθήσω να το φτιάξω...
Ευχαριστώ!!! 😘😊🇬🇷
τα κατάφερες;
Cute project :)
I love your videos. But I made the mistake of purchasing the wrong hardness wire. Wondering in further videos could you specify what hardness of wire you are using. Thanks that would help a ton.
You are amazing, lovely, thank You , i’ m portuguese🙏🙏🙏🥰🥰🥰👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🌹🌹🌹🌹😘😘😘😘🇵🇹
You are the Best !!!
Great videos thank you. I have a question - can I hammer gold filled wire? Thanks for your response;)
Love this! I have 22 gauge, will it work? Thank you!
Love love love
Love this project, but do you want to say us if you take dead soft or half hard wire.
Thank you for your answer
Super teacher!
Hello nice class. Where can I find the wrap and tap tool?
I love your videos everything is so concise and I think you have amazing designs and teach really hellfire wire working techniques! I have a few questions and a couple suggestions. Can you please tell us the hardness of the wires and what shape you use? Also can you please show more close up shots and shots of the finished product? It’s hard to see the details. Also, can gold filled wire be used for this? I know plated wires can chip but how does gold filled hold up? Lastly can you list links for the supplies such as the mandrels and bail pliers and other tools?
Amanda,
Thank you for your comments! Check out our newer videos over the past year. We believe we have taken care of some of the viewing issues you're having with better closeups and backgrounds that make it easier to see the jewelry-making process. As for wire, this is a great suggestions and we are currently working on a Pro Tips video that will talk about all the different types of wire and their hardness and what's best to use for different typos of projects.
We don't currently have a ring mandrel in stock as it sold out very quick, but you might be able to do a quick google search and find one.

Where exactly do we go to purchase your supplies?
I love this ring and I enjoy using different types of metal. Did you put the silver in LOS? And what grit did you use on the file? Your tutorial was great and I understood all of it. I have everything except the automatic wire rounder and wrap and tap which I am looking forward to ordering. Thank you so much.
Hi Cheryl! I used LOS on some parts of the rings. Here is a link to a great kit that contains liver of sulfer from JTV! Not sure the grit of the file! www.jtv.com/product/finishing-kit-incl-buffing-blocks-liver-of-sulfer-gel-protectaclear-spray/JMKIT591
I love this. I just wish I could hammer the paddle ends like you. Mind look terrible.
Great work... I'm learning so much...can u do a tutorial on working with flat wire to make rings?
Great suggestion!
Great Job, loved the technique and finished project. Where did you buy your wire rounder? Thanks
Wire rounders/bail-making pliers are awesome. Here's a link to the ones we have in stock at the moment: www.jtv.com/search/?Ntt=bail+plier&type=products&N=4243964577&Ntk=All?mcid=XSOjsyt
Have fun and good luck!
Susan, I love all of your tutorials. I have learned so much. Is 14 gauge sterling silver good to use instead of 16 gauge? Round or half round? Thanks!
Hi Carmen, depending on the look you want, round and half round can both work. And as far as gauge goes, it just depends on how pliable you want your wire to be. The thicker the wire, the more difficult to manipulate but you should give it a go and see what you think!
Hi Susan! I'm new to jewelry making and love your videos! I want to try making my first ring but all mandrels I'm finding have a flat spot on them where the measurements are...best I can tell your mandrel is completely round with the measurements stamped on it...where did you purchase yours? Thanks for all the great videos!
Hey Susan! The groove that runs the length of the mandrel is actually going to be much better than you think. This groove is designed to help hold your bead in place while you wrap your wire. Some older mandrels don't have it (like the one Susan is using), but have since been redesigned to include it. If you're still worried about it, don't be. The other side of the mandrel doesn't have the groove and will be a versatile working surface as well. It won't hinder or change your design as far as size at all. Hope this helps and good luck!
Hi. Love your videos. With the sterling silver wire is this dead soft or half hard wire
Hi! It is half hard.
@@JewelSchool thanking you
what is a wire resistor? I can't find it on Amazon.
Where can I find your "wrap & tap" pliers? They don't seem to be available on the jtv.com web site.
Agreed can’t find them anywhere but Amazon end I’m not entirely sure they are the same ones
Please zoom in on what you're doing
I couldn’t see how you strung the wire at the end. Did you wrap on the inside ring?
Hi Rob! You weave the smaller gauge wire around the spiral ring to keep everything in place. When you're happy, use your pliers to pinch into place and keep any rough or sharp spots from rubbing against the finger.
For the 16 ga Sterling, do you recommend Dead Soft or Half-Hard?
Hi Dana! I recommend using Half-Hard.
Searching everywhere for your wire rounder can't find it where did you get yours and what is the actual name of it?
This is a Beadalon Bead Reamer. It requires batteries. You also need to get the burr attachments to go with it. They are available on Amazon.
What was the name of the tool you used on the ends of the wire? Before you hammer it flat
This is called a wire rounder. It is also a bead reamer. This tool has interchangeable heads depending on your need. It's a great tool!

Another great project but please ask whoever is filming your videos to get closer so we can see the details.
A meat tenderizer would work for the texture hammer
could this be done with a square shaped spiral?
We don't see why not! Give it a try and let us know how it turns out!
I wish you could make some beaded bracelets

What kind of 26 gauge wire did you use?
This is called Parawire. It is a premium quality tarnish resistant round silver toned wire, a 10 yard spool approximately.
I use a highlighter as my ring mandrel.
Wow 😳 where is the finished product
I have a 26 gage wire but is very hard to work with.
Using these wires will they make your finger green?
They can. Metals often interact with the oils in your skin and sometimes lotions and that can turn your finger green. You can get a jewelry sealer that will help coat the metal and will keep your finger from turning green!
That was really hard to see where you wrapped it to the ring part I couldn't see it!
Don’t see a notification bell!
There is a clock ticking sound that I hear on these videos. It is disconcerting. And detracts from the lesson.
I have just been watching several of your videos. Great tutorials, but it is so frustrating that you never show the completed ring well. In this video, not at all. All that time watching the video and you don't get to see the final product.
Check out some of our newest videos. We now start off by showing you the project and then recap the look at the end. We are continually trying to make viewing a more enjoyable experience! Thanks so much!
I can never see what you are doing. Obviously a great jeweler, but the videography needs to improve before I can follow what you're doing. 💗
Completely agree nothing is up close enough we need an overhead camera close up
Ok u lost me
Don't give up!
My eyes are not that good to see it. I use a magnifying glass when I work and it's great..but maybe you can show an up close version of each step??
Have to zoom in and let us see it for a few seconds. YOU know what you are doing. We don't. "Baby" us a little. bit...zoom in. Love your video tho.
