- The "Secret Book of John" (aka "The Apocryphon of John") is generally regarded as the most "heretical" of Gnostic texts, establishing the tenets of the Gnostic tradition. Within are ideas including salvation through Gnosis, reincarnation, the "immovable race", and Archons (the equivalent of demons in the Christian tradition).
The famous Swiss psychologist Carl Jung considered himself Gnostic, and regarded the early Christian Gnostics as being very advanced in their understanding of human psychology. The Matrix Trilogy is considered to be representative of many Gnostic concepts, along with other movies like "Ink", and "The Nines".
Hopefully that explains why I've decided to include it on this channel. Most of all I see it as being particularly useful in the area of human psychology.
On a side note I'm hoping to get back to this channel and begin providing it with the TLC it's been so desperately lacking. I hope you're all doing well.

This has been proven heretical. Jesus is not the God of confusion, Satan is. Jesus would not teach his disciples one thing while he was living in human form and then after his death have individual visions with a select few and tell them something totally different. There's several secret books written after Jesus's death. The Secret Book of James, The Gospel of Mary (Magdalene), The Gospel of Thomas, Secret Book of John, Apocalypse of Peter, and a few more. The original 4 Gospels (Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John) were written when there were witnesses still alive to validate the contents. With all the "secret books" written, there were no witnesses to the actual event except the one writing the book. In all cases, the books were not atually written by the person that supposedly wrote the book. For example, the Secret Book of John was not actually written by apostle John. The Apocalypse of Peter was not written by apostle Peter. You have to stand for something or you will fall for anything. Stand with Jesus and what the writings of the New Testament says. Your purpose in life is to be more Holy today than you were yesterday. To pick up your cross and follow the examples of Jesus. To spread the word about Jesus, be his disciple. Let other people see the Jesus in you in your daily living and interactions with others. The folks who wrote those "secret" books were trying to rewrite the Christian narrative to fit into their own personal beliefs. The visions, if visions at all, were probably from Satan.

God isn't jealous of idols made of wood, but of our love directed at the object. If we love it, then we do not love Him. Be careful! Just because it says it came from St. John doesn't mean it did. A lot of forgeries occurred at this time ; some by means of the devil's tampering.

Can anyone help me here? This is the single thing I cannot get my head around. If this book clearly presents the writer to be the same John that was the personal disciple whom Jesus loved, then why was he so suddenly confused and ‘disorientated’ by the merest of challenges from the Pharisees whom said that he had simply been deceived….. and had shamefully departed from the traditions?
I mean, this is the John who saw Jesus in the flesh, who saw him raise the dead, heal the leper, turn water into wine, walk on water, cast out devils? This is the same John who saw Jesus on the mount of transfiguration, who saw Jesus crucified, risen from the dead, and ascended into heaven???? Who heard and recorded his teachings. If he was afraid for his life when challenged by these Pharisees, sure, deny Jesus like Peter did and get forgiveness later…. Run off and hide yourself in a cave somewhere! But to go off into the wilderness, shaken and confused because of this notorious ‘brood of vipers’, knowing them to be the conspiring liars, extortioners and murderers that they were! Comparing this audio to Johns book of revelation it is clear that these are two completley different authors.

The Gospel of John is the only NT book, IMO, that promotes the idea that salvation is predestined for a handful of people, much like the idea of the elect in the Gnostic tradition.

The elect are the most spiritually mature in Christ that walked closer with God than the rest of the body of Christ.
Prophets prophecise in part but if you want a better overall prophecy then i strongly recommend the book of Enoch.
