Does Karen Chuang give anyone else university professor vybes? She's so professional and expressive with her words and she just exudes quiet authority. She'd give the hardest assignments but she'd also be super invested in your progress give great and thorough feedback and wouldn't let you put in less than 100% effort. Plus the 20 second tidbit at the end of her class convinced me she's a great teacher. Dr. Chuang feels like the most natural title for her.
Huge props to FARR. I've started dancing with a contemporary dance company and this process is usually what happens when we collab with a musician. We make our works and then someone comes in and makes music to the dance. Usually the music ends up being super abstract and instrumental so the fact that these guys could come up with song with lyrics that brought out musciallity in the choreography is wicked cool.
This was the most in-depth and detailed reverse choreography so far. FARR really broke down their approach to the track to a level that hasn't been done so far here. I personally did not know that record producing got so complicated. Dude has like 15 layers and 5 menus and 25 folders on screen. Glad I got to see all of that. And all the things about the track I couldn't put into words... Karen put them into words: with precision and clarity. This duo complemented each other so well they deserve to be complimented. Hats off to them.
I swear Karen Chuang's movement is so versatile and layered. Until the producer mentioned it, I didn't realise the choreography started from her facial expression. More like *Karen Gaddang* with that execution 😂👍🏿
I really love the how the audio and choreo fit so well together both before and after. The producers didn't hesitate to make it a bit more upbeat, despite being for a contemporary piece, and Karen added some bounce to it too🔥👌🏽 Mad props✨
I love whenever you guys do these videos its so cool to watch the creativity, fun fact this is actually how nutcracker was made. they had the chorography first and brought in a composer to match it. we lost the original choreography and today create dances that fit the songs. so you are keeping a awesome tradition alive!

As a former past dancer i had to give up dance when i was 13. I was angry for many years as this was such an amazing outlet for me. But this video and watching this made me understand why it effected me for so long as i feel BIG and watching this i wish i had the chance to work in contemporary but thanks to Steezy and their professional dancers i have this even if its just from the comfort of my own home. By the way i learned to also focus on singing and art and am now an artist. Putting this out there for anyone that no matter your circumstances there are other outlets and to keep going no matter what. 💖 💃 🕺
Karen is such an amazing dancer and teacher, I'm a beginner dancer in day 2 of the contemporary dance program and I've learned so much about body awareness, using my breath to dance and how to add emotion to my dance. I'm looking forward to the class for this choreography ! :D
