An actually creepy fact- during the Christmas comes to Halloweentown sequence, the vampires originally played hockey with the severed head of Tim Burton, giving a really good look at it as it was shot into the goal. This was too much for the Disney censors so it was redone with a jack 0 lantern

That is correct. In the DVD, there's a few deleted scenes, and it shows several of the extended and unused gags. He drew Santa on his chalkboard with lobster claws, he actually tastes that candy cane before he melts it, and... I know there's one more, but I can't remember. Also I think Danny Elfman was Jack's voice full time, but I'm not sure about that. He had a different voice then anyway
