When I arrive, I enjoy the smell of the air when leaving the plane, very special, so I know I’m back😅😉, very good vlog for everybody who comes to Thailand 🇹🇭, enjoy your holiday!! Stay safe 🙏🏼🇹🇭
Thank you dear friend we miss you .. see you again 😃
miss you two too❤️
I enjoy the smell too 😍😍😍
The first thing to do: please check You Tube on how (baby)elephants are abused and broken for tourism and the entertainment industries in Thailand!! You will be shocked. This abuse is legal in Thailand and done by people without a heart!! There are no animal rights in Thailand / Asia!!! So next thing to do?: Inform tourists about this horror abuse and lets pray for changes!!!
Yes the distinct smell that is so pleasantly refreshing. I realized that too, when the plane was about to land Bangkok
It’s usually on meter but the last time I was there during Aug 2022 the driver told me I got additional luggage he will charge me one amount and no meter , I told him no and walk back to the line and ask for the person in charge for help , he scolded the driver and change another taxi for me ..
You did the right thing, we all should do that, not only at the airport but in the city too.
That was very unfortunate dear
How did you manage after that ?
I really appreciate these videos. These are the only ones I found to be useful, not creepy, or racist. I am able to prep for my trip and feel comfortable as what to do as a solo traveler.
I have Thailand still in my head and heart, i just returned a week ago. I enjoy your videos even more and hope to visit again soon
Have fun!
Thailand hopes to welcome you again in the near future!
@@Panwardploen I can't wait to come back. I have pleasant dreams about thailand and memories of bangkok are so vivid that it seems like yesterday when I visited all the temples and islands.
I would like to thank you sooo much for your advices for vacation in Thailand, I’ve followed your instructions especially at the airport upon arrival, and all was easy, thanks to your vlogs I was able to arrange a holiday for 10 days in bangkok & Phuket on my own without the help of any travel agency 🙏🏻
Glad to hear that my pleasure 🙏
Doing the same trip you did in 5 months. Would love any tips, great spots, or advice
Thank you for this video! I am coming to Thailand in April and will definitely use your tips.
22 years this year i been going to Thailand some good tips there , 2 biggest mistakes I made my first trip was 1 taking way to much luggage and 2. not realizing how hot it gets in Thailand ..
Thanks for sharing your experience . I will unpack some stuff now , LOL
Thank you for the tips . They are very helpful when I’ll use them in Thailand this summer.
Very informative for newcomers! Nice video 😊
Glad you like it
Dude - this is super helper advice that really makes a difference in the beginning of the journey!
Gracias 🙏
Welcome Jimmy stay safe
I love your videos! I'm going to Thailand in 6 days and I learned a lot watching your videos! From Canada, thank you!
You are most welcomed glad to help, have a safe trip.
Stay safe
Another thing to remember, especially for people coming from the "right-hand traffic" countries (Ex: U.S. & most countries around the world), Thailand is a "left-hand traffic country." Be careful when crossing the streets.
I almost got hit by a car after stepping out of the airport, because I forgot to look on the right side first. Also, it took me a couple of days to remember that I needed to get into the passenger side of a vehicle on the left side.
Have fun in Thailand.
Love your channel and the videos. Very very helpful

@@LiveLoveThailand think I asked before about sim , if I get for say one month from airport Ais , do I then go to their shop in mall to extend / top up ?
@@jonhobson3592 yes
@@LiveLoveThailand ok thanks and keep the same number.
great video , il be in Thailand soon
Have fun!
@@LiveLoveThailand hope 2 c u there
Your point about taxis, I found walking up to departures and wait for a taxi dropping someone off, they're more than happy to take you anywhere you want to go as they would normally be leaving empty anyway.
Taxis are always cheaper from departures , good you mentioned it.
Book a taxi from your hotel or acomodation to pick you up at the Airport, this is a lot cheaper,,
I m in luv with ur blogs n u😂😊
I love Thailand i will be there soon
When I arrive in Bangkok, I feel the smell of that city.
The smiling faces and joyful atmosphere around me.
23'Feb I will be there.
Good
smells absolutely disgusting and i love it
@@Lukas-kd9oq I feel smells a kind of soap or washing detergent.
Thank you for the video!
One question to the ARL station at Phaya Thai: Are there different exits? Which one should we use best to get a taxi without crossing too many roads (especially when I have luggage and kids at my hands)?
Thank you .I am going to Thai tomorrow
yep! you should get through 20 in the first week or so! in bars, on the street, even supermarkets!
Thank you soo much
I miss Thailand 🇹🇭 want to go back sometimes later
👍
Thank you! See you in April for Songkran!
One tip I'll add check the breakfast price of your hotel if it's an add on extra because for me it would be $16 Usd per day and you can get cheaper breakfast I am sure than what your hotel offers. I think it's good for your first day but not necessarily through out the trip according to Instagram there are so many beautiful cafes also in Bangkok and they have a huge Starbucks too!
Exactly
Stay hydrated in April; it is among the hottest months in Thailand. Also, don't wear nice clothes around Songkran, because you are sure to get wet from people throwing/splashing water at you.
@@SV-kr9fu definitely nothing see through 🤣🤣🤣
I like the music
There are taxi scams at the airport. I was there in November 2022 and the driver did not want to go with the meter and wanted to charge 500B (including 2tolls) for my journey to Silom, which usually cost about 300B plus 75B for tolls. I declined his offer and told him to go with the meter. Later I decided to go with the 500B offer but her angrily said "No" and from then on, he was not as Thai-smile friendly. When we finally reached our destination, meter was 300+B (I paid for both tolls) but I still gave him 500B, smiled and told him not to do that to others again. My first trip back in 2.5yrs and I wanted it to be a good one, on my terms.
Video very good
Welcome
I like video ❤

I always look both ways. In Texas there are plenty of people driving on the wrong side of the road, in reverse. Not sure how these people get licenses.
@@Moi_81 : I looked both ways too; but I looked "left, right, & left" instead of the other way around.
Driving in Bangkok, I wonder how most of those drivers got their licenses as well, especially, those motorcycle/scooter riders.
Thanks for your tips I saw you the day 0.30 Welcome when u come cambodia
Lucky I have my Thai gf with me when we go to Thailand 😅
We go in 4 month again 🥳
Lucky 😄
@@LiveLoveThailand we plan for the future to build a house in Kanchanaburi:) love to live in Thailand
@@stevek343 why not?
Next week I am coming there
I will be there in roughly two weeks. Hope you are having a good trip.
Is the regular ATM in the Philippines can be use to withdraw money in Thailand?
Does this Sim Card work in Phuket also? Can you use the same sim card it in Bangkok and phuket as well?
Hey thanks for video , in airport theres also 7eleven yes? So we can also take the card from there? Is it same price? With the other seven elevens?
Buy it from any seven eleven outside the airport
@@LiveLoveThailand thanks
Interesting. I have been to Thailand many times and the airport taxi's have never turned the meter on. They have always asked for 500 or 600bht to SOI 11 hotels.
Yes. This is common.
They cheated you. Actually is 300baht. You can take picture of the label on the dashboard about the driver and present your complain at tourist information office. Now if you do not do it then they will have the guts to cheat others. So do you homework please 😁🤣😁🤣
These Airport Taxi drivers always try to scam people who asks how much to their destination and drivers catch on that you’re a 1st timer here, so they give you a higher price. Don’t do that, just tell them where you want to go and they will put the meter on.
Thank you for another good video. When you mentioned eating, you mentioned not 'going to extremes, otherwise you'll spend most of your time in the toilet '. What did you mean by that. I can maybe think of a couple of things: as westerners not used to eating in Thailand, maybe not eating "Street Food" which I've been told can upset the stomach of those not used to it. Or, eating food that is spicy, when not eating it at home. Are either of those what you were referring to, or something different?
Welcome, I mean eat try but don't go extreme of your stomach is sensitive specifically from the 1st day you arrive.
Other than that everything is safe amd clean even the street food.
Enjoy
Very good video, thank you.
We are going to Thailand in two weeks and your Videos help a lot in preparation. I have one question, you said that the sim card is cheaper at Seven Eleven. Do you know what the price difference is?
Stay healthy and safe.
Better packages starting 149 Baht
@@LiveLoveThailandthank you very much Four you answer
Another fantastic video filled with helpful tips. Your thoughts on ordering a Grab from the airport rather than a taxi?
No grab service at the airport
@@LiveLoveThailand I’ve literally downloaded your video so I have all the knowledge at arrival. Sincerely, these are the most useful of any I’ve ever seen.
Pl inform about some off beat destinations of Thailand
Better to use bolt or grab from second floor much easier
Hi arsen do you have any recommendations for a private tour guide ?? Thank you
Hi. I’m arriving at night in bangkok but I’m planning to go straight to Pattaya, what is the best, safe way to get there? 🙏🏻
Incase anyone wondering about Thai bhat I just did an exchange at my bank (chase) $197 USD is $6,000 Thai bhat I only did this because I am arriving very late at the airport not sure what will be open also I'll add chase sapphire card offers 0 foreign transaction fees
Good
When you say first floor for taxi, do you mean ground level or next level up? Different countries have different meanings for this
Had a taxi try to charge 700B to my bnb off meter, we forced him to go on meter and he charged luggage fee and tolls, came out to 500B total.
When I got to Bangkok airport, I walked out to look for a taxi and a guy in a yellow came to ask me where I will be going. I told him that I was going to the other airport. He charged me 2,000 bth. (He did not run the meter).
I always wonder, why do people buy local SIM cards if there are tons of globally used eSims available?
And I‘m more curious about where to find an ATM at the airport (I never exchange money🤷♀️)?
thanks for the video my friend....Ihave 1 question:the taxis that are outside airport are divided in 3 categories...Large taxi...Normal taxi ...and short distance taxi...any of them goes outside Bangkok?? mean that i wanna go Pattaya...can i use these taxis???or they not go outside Bangkok??if i can use ,they put meter???
Better to take the bus from 1st floor it runs every one hour, and it's cheap.
If you're using a ATM to get cash rather than exchanging money, does it really make any difference if you use a machine on the 2nd floor or the basement?
What sim card for 2 months in Thailand please ?
You forgot mention the best currency exchange it's SUPER RICH, because don't have fee and good exchange rate
I think you have to watch the vlog good cause I already showed that shop and where it moved .
Stay safe
is a tourist visa as well as a passport required for entry into thailand ?
The first thing I would do is pamper my stomach with delicious Thai food!
I personally took one of those green taxis from the airport to the hotel about one month a go and realized that the meter was not working. I ended up paying the taxi fare plus the Highway tools.
You should refuse and get another taxi
May I ask, where was your hotel (around what area)? And how much did it cost you?
@@LiveLoveThailand I was already in the car and left the airport by the time I noticed the meter was not working.
@@SV-kr9fu the hotel was near Soi 21 in Bangkok. The price I paid included the Highway tools about 850 Baht.
Those taxis also charge you extra for any luggage. I walked away from one when he tried to charge me 100THB for a suitcase and 200THB for a golf bag. I lifted my bags out and went to the supervisor. They DO try to scam you, happened too often that I now book private transfer for a fraction of the price and zero hassle.
It happened to me, airport meter taxi go around and around, before take me to my hotel.
hello how much more does it cost for the large taxi commpared to the small taxi? thanks
Almost 1.5 times means ur saving rather than taking 2 taxis
Very dumb question but do i need to buy a phone too? Or can i use any phone i already have and just exchange the sim card.
Your phone
I have to disagree about shopping in the malls, big corporate businesses sell in the malls I think its always better to support the little guy you never know what hidden gems they have
For airport link (Red line), until what time operate? My hotel around ratchaprarop.
Midnight ...
People come to Thailand until they are shocked.along the streets of Bangkok There are only tourists Ordinary days are no exception.
I'we been scamed in a taximeter in 2018. we took a big taxi from the airport and when we came to highway and he said that it cost 900baht , but he told us first, when we vere at the highway so we could not get of. from that day on we onlt take small taxies, and if we are 3 persons then we take 2 small taxies
Hi! I have a question for you... I am going to take a course in my country canada for a digital nomad job and i would like to know if it takes me the same for a work permit because i will be working for a canadian or american company before being self-employed or if i have only need a tourist visa for more than 30 days? Thank you to anwser me!!!
Thailand started bus service in Bangkok nearly 100 years ago, it was run by private bus operators at a reasonable price but still making a decent profit. However, about 45 years ago, a certain political party campaigned to make bus in Bangkok free and when this party came to power as a coalition govt, it nationalized bus services, buying the private operators and created Bangkok Mass Transport Authority (BMTA) to run a free bus service for a few years. When the govt could no longer afford the huge annual subsidy, it allowed the BMTA to charge a cheap ticket price for non-aircon buses and then introduced air-con buses at 2-3 times the price of non-aircon buses. The non-aircon buses have been running at a loss since then up to today while the air-con buses run at break-even. The BMTA then granted private bus operators to run non-aircon and air-con buses again about 30 years ago to reduce the BMTA's mounting debts as private operators seem to know how to run buses at a decent profit even though they charge the same ticket fares as BMTA's own buses. To this day, BMTA non-aircon red buses are still relatively cheap less than 10 baht, one of the cheapest fare in the world. Every year, the national govt allocates a supplementary budget to shore up BMTA's inefficient operation. It is apparent that the first populist policy of Thai govt does not work as is the case worldwide such as the bankrupted Venezuela and father of populist policy Argentina which seeks IMF help at least 6 times since WWII.
Do you have any idea of the free shuttle buses from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Don Muang Airport? Are this buses still operational? Thank you.
Yes they are both ways
@@LiveLoveThailand thank you 😊
Where these free shuttle busses located at Suvarnabhumi airport?
do we need to carry passport all the time during the trip to thailand ( like i say i m in bangkok or phuket - on the street or beach or phi phi island - do we need to carry passport all the time ) ?
No need, but I prefer you keep a copy
Does the 7eleven at the Suvarnabhumi International airport sell sim card?
Never checked, but might be
@@LiveLoveThailand thanks a lot for your prompt reply.
Might be visiting Thailand this December for 2weeks.Gathering all info esp from your precious video.

Hi Chon,
1) Is it save to walk in Bangkok with Backpack ?
2) Is there any difference among SIM cards companies ?
3) In average, how long and how much cost a Public Taxi from the airport to downtown Bangkok ?
Thank you in advance.
It is safe not
Not much difference
Around 300 baht
