I think eSIMs aren't talked about enough! As long as your phone supports them, you download it before you leave home, and boom, works immediately off the plane and one less thing to do when landing, even if a bit more money

How does e sim work
@@georgefisher-5591first and most importantly, your Smartphone has to support this service. eSim (embedded Sim) needs to be in your phone, which recent iPhones and some Samsung phones support. Google your phone to find out. My Xiaomi phone does not have eSim.
Then you can book different plans from different companys online. As far as I know, "Holafly" covers the most countries but is fairly expensive.

Arsen , thanks for the info buddy , great advice , I normally pre book the hotel bus to a local hotel , I like the Siam mandarina , its 5 to 10 minutes away from the airport , my flights tend to arrive very late 11 pm to 2 am in the morning , so I want to sleep straight away and wake up fresh in the morning , then I will continue my journey

Hey Arsen, that was a good video! And taking a bus in Thailand is awesome! Folks, we all know flying coach on the plane is murder!! On my four hour trip from Pattaya to Nakon Ratashima I was so comfortable on the double decker bus! You can lay the chair back far enough to sleep well, even for us tall guys. And the price was good for the distance traveled. And a free water and cookies!!

And an additional tip for all German, and probably all other European tourists with a regular, not prepaid, mobile phone contract:
Don't bother buying a sim card at all.
Buying SIM cards is a tip from the 1990s and early 2000s, when WiFi was not available almost everywhere in Thailand and roaming was still expensive.
Those days are over.
Normal use of the WLAN options and moderate roaming usage results in approximately the same costs as a Thai sim card.
And if, for whatever reason, it absolutely has to be:
Almost all cell phones produced in the last 4 years offer the option of using an eSim! You can then easily buy these online before the flight.

About to get there tmrw . At San Fran airport now. Gonna get my bus ticket just enough for that at atm to pattaya , then a bolt if need be from bus stop to room. Find good atm near hotel and boom . That’s the plan haha

I ordered an eSim for my phone, through Thailand eSIM. $20 for 15 days, unlimited data and calls. No physical card needed, an email is sent after ordering and it has a QR code which you scan and then then it’s downloaded into your phone. I had a little trouble doing this but simply went to one of the dTAC kiosks at the airport and the lady kindly did it for me.

We bought 30 days validity dtac sim from 7 eleven for 199 Thai Baht or USD5.6 . Unlimited calls and 30GB data.

Doesn’t Thailand have at&t international services that you can get before you get there so you don’t have to deal with the lines etc? Also do they not have card readers to swipe card instead of paper cash? That or bitcoin something digital?

You forget to mentions that if ppl would like to eat thai foods..but a little cheaper then the thai restaurant to floor above..you be paying 3 to four times amounts then you would around thailand..the cheapest is magic foods count on 1st floor..ok maybe it busy. But if you want to pay less.magic is the place..
