I forgot but wasn't it Lombardi who was roasting Poles for the Montez Sweat trade?
You didn't forget. He definitely did.
Lombardi is thinking of an NFL that existed 30 years ago. Yes, obviously the offensive and defensive line are important but there's no way I'm picking that 3 technique over Odunze! Good receivers make teams scared because they can't double everyone. This game has changed to a point where offense is mmm has a major advantage. You can cut defensive ends down and win with serviceable linemen. It all comes down to the quarterback!
@gcbghhggBnjffeegjjChiefs had number one defense last year though.
@gcbghhggBnjffeegjj Chiefs had the number one defense.
This interview felt like a Saturday morning kids show. Questions and answers going 2 different directions lol
Seems like she had a list of questions which she wasn't going to deviate from no matter what. After Lombardi minimized the importance of offensive weapons relative to the offensive (and defensive) line, she plowed ahead anyway with questions about which team now has the best receiver trio and if the offensive weapons the Bears have acquired this year would be enough to propel the Bears to success.
@@HidingFromFateyou can find a receiver that can play in the later rounds. Green bay and Houston proved that. Its much harder to find defensive tackles and ends that can contribute right away.
@@livingforever6157 Right. I get that and I do tend to agree more with the Lombardi perspective on this particular subject, i.e., receiver talent can be found in later rounds. Though on the other hand, I do appreciate a really nice new shiny elite receiver toy every once in a while so I didn't hate the Odunze pick either.
Well said. I doubt is she listened to any of his answers. He could've said anything and she would've just kept going.
Let Caleb play right?.. he,s new to the NFL. I hope he has great success. Go Bears!!
The reason why Lombardi is not a GM and Ryan Poles is ours is that he has already drafted OL, DL and it is now time to increase our skill positions
Why don't you actually answer the questions, Lombardi, and not steer every question back to line play? Saying the Packers top 3 receivers are as good as any in football is asinine.
Agreed the Packers had how many 1000 yard receivers? Oh they had 0???? Yeah that sounds like the best in the league😅😅😅😅
Packers have so many options they don’t need 1 guy to get 1000 yards.
The three highest wide receivers weren’t picked in the first round. You can draft receivers in later rounds. You can get 80% production at a fraction of the cost. A team needs 8 offensive linemen. A below average, so so o lineman cost $10m in free agency. You don’t have enough money and cap to field an offensive line. The draft is where you get the type of player you can’t pay for in free agency. Nothing works without the o line
The Football Gods are smiling on the Bears you pass on Patrick Mahomes but here we are drafting Caleb Williams amen.
picking the wr was the right move by far and secondly you don't [pick a project player at 9 who fell all the way to 15. yes, you need good lines but this 2024 not 1985 you need offensive players who can put the football in the end zone. the bears needed to give this young qb all the help they could so he could hit the field and play well
Tina looks tremendous
This guy answers questions like a politician. 🥴
That's a wig.
I think you're right!
I made a video of what does Marc Ross think of Michael Penix Jr.
Like him or not Lombardi was right about Fields. Anyone could see his problems reading and reacting except for those who didn't WANT to see them.
Don’t forget about MVP Mitch. Lombardi says what he thinks, not what you want to hear. You gotta figure out who’s his friends and edit in your head
Questions at the 2 tackles?? With that alone he doesn't know what he talking about. Murphy wasn't even drafted top 15, and its a offensive league where wr are being paid a lot next to qb. Odunze was the best player available at 9.
Bears need a tackle. Dexter and Pickens are not the answer.
Out of all the people you could interview, why would you get Lombardi???! He has been bashing everything the Bears have been building.
Questionable guy to be interviewing.
Is being objective a bad thing?
Not at all. Okay you got me. I’m going overprotective about the bears. So my bias towards them is my weakness haha
We need a edge rusher
Bear 🐻down 👇Chicago bears 🐻🐻 let's go
Finally!! Somebody giving an honest and intelligent assessment other than these local Chicago sports channels clapping like seals at every single move the Bears make. I said it when they added Keenan Allen, this isn’t a Madden game, don’t just keep strengthening the receiver position, they needed a D lineman, D end or left tackle, and now I feel smarter having listen to this guy agree with me
your wrong go to green bay
@@TheRichb688 thanks for specifying. Maybe you’re so intelligent you thought everyone could read your mind as to what that comment meant. Wrong how
This should be good 😂
He sounds like he’s living in the past. Also, Bears didn’t want Carter, that’s why they traded back twice. His opinion does not sway my trust in Poles one bit.
We did not want Jalen Carter we could have taken him he was there at 9 what are you talking about?🤷🏻♂️🧸⬇️
Lombardi is a walking and talking 24-karat nut. That is just my opinion. bd
Hes awful. He was a shit gm too
This guy has always been a Bears hater.
Darnell Wright Tevin Jenkins Braxton Jones your right Mike our OLine is not that good!🧠🤯🔫
Im not a big fan of this negativity
Michael Lombardi sucks
He was right about Fields right away.
I really don't like this guy
This guy cannot answer a question to save his life.
certified Bears hater
