Caleb literally had to play hero ball at USC almost every down because the defense or offensive line. He says he doesnt want to run, he wants to throw from the pocket as much as possible. The bears have a good overall team and caleb wont have to play hero ball nearly as much.

He is always looking to play hero ball. If you watched the games he played in he would pass up on a wide open guy on an underneath route to try and get some big flashy play.

Sometimes it’s hard for rookie QBs are the changes from College to the NFL, in College they always (99% of time) they always start in the shot gun, usually never under center, College field is wider than the NFL fields & the footballs are bigger in the NFL & college stadiums can hold more fans….

Williams isn't going to have to run out of the pocket as much as he did with USC. The Bears depth WR's and TE's will be open more than the USC's WR was. I just hope that he avoids the hits whether it's to gain yards running or avoid sacks. Slide early and throw the ball away if there's nothing instead of forcing a throw. Another question is how much better will the offensive line be compared to last year? That will directly impact how much he needs to use his legs because we know we can throw from the pocket.

Nix is the one I think is going to struggle when an NFL defense starts coming after him.
I believe Daniel’s will be. The oline is terrible so he won’t be very protected and he was a runner not a scrambler, he wasn’t very good at protecting himself from hits either while running. I think they’ll make it very easy on Nix and I think he understands the game better than the rest of the rookies at this very moment at least.
