How To Use Sitala In Cakewalk by Bandlab | Tutorial | Best Free DAW | Free Plugin

- In this tutorial I go over how to use Sitala, setup drum kits and track templates in Cakewalk. I use Satila to make the drums in the Cakewalk Step sequencer which is a FREE Plugin. Let me know if you any questions about the process below in the comments. Cakewalk is a FREE DAW. Yes you read correctly FREE! This a complete DAW that use to be a paid software. It comes with effects, plugins, mastering tools, instruments and everything need to create music. I decided to try and start making beats in Cakewalk to see what it can do and so far so good. Definitely check it out.

Great tutorial. Thank you. If anyone is having trouble finding the Sitala VST, make sure you put the Sitala.dll in this location: C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\VstPlugins

That is awesome. I haven't tried to use the splitting tracks with sitalla. I really love the quick effects in sitalla but I am not a fan of the way you can find the samples and that you can't pitch things up and down (like people often do with high hats). Thanks for sharing.
Yea that is one of the limitations but I can get out drums pretty quick that way.. And if i need the hi hats trap style I will use Komplete control..

I love Sitala because its very simple and have the drag and drop pads.
I started to chopping samples and I wanna know if have an option to stop playing a pad when a push another pad.
Sometimes a wanna leave a sample playing, in other bars I want interrupt the same sample briefly, hit another pad without overlay the sounds.

yes you can put them in choke groups. I have a video showing how to use the choke groups in Sitala hope this helps.. just search sitala in cakewalk and my videos should come up.
Any chance u could start putting ur screen over the hint box, I can’t find some things on my right side where the vst be!?!

first of all thanks for this tutorial, pls can you explain the use of the 16 tracks produced by sitala, not very clear for me as a beginner, does that mean each instrument has it's own track i.e. one track snare, one track kick etc . would really appreciate your feedback ..
Sitala gives you an option to spread the drums out on separate tracks so all the drums will have there own mixing track... you don't have to do it that way you can use it just as a stereo track and use that for your drums.. the method I show in the video allows me to make my drum track with one midi and separate them to there own track and it allows me to record the audio from the tracks created or freeze them so that I can see the wave files ... hope this helps ... let me know if you have questions

I know this question is probably dumb but I’ve been setting up different templates looking at my man @ewoofbeats making it look easy , but when I get to the very end.. I’ve save the template and all but my step sequencer won’t open because some odd reason and its crazy could you give me some advice
hey i have question, is it possible to add your own 808 to step sequencer in cakewalk? Because in fl studio it's pretty easy, you just grab your beat and drop in, but there is no option as that, can anybody help
You have to use a sampler to do it but yes you can ...I have 808 videos that may help as well... it's no FL Studio but it's pretty close .. and if all else fails you can use FL inside of Cakewalk it's all in the video hope this helps.. czcams.com/video/x87Jjbmnh-0/video.html

How do you actually download it into Cakewalk as a plugin? Been having trouble with that...
Yea it can be tricky.. Do u know where it downloaded to... Mine downloaded to my c drive... Program files\ steinberg\vstplugins\sitala
You might have to redownload it and see where it is downloading to and find that path and put it in cakewalk... In cakewalk go to preferences .... Vst settings... Add the path where sitila.dll file is located... And it should show up in your plugins under uncatagorized.. Hope this helps...😄🙏

I'd love to begin using this but I thought Sitala it was free. It keeps asking me to pay for a license to use it.
Is there a way that I can put a reverb just on the snare? I mean not on the whole drum set just the snare is there a way i can do that?
Yes you can If you put Sitala on different track like I did in the video you will be able to add any FX you want on any of the drums ... Hope this helps...😀👍🏾

Sitala can be downloaded from the link in the description and it should go to the Steinberg folder on your computer the doll file is usually stored there ... Are you talking about a 2 track or a tracked out beat with everything separate ..🤔 for 2 tracks you can use the gain knob and turn the beat down... If they are separate tracks create a bus for all the tracks and turn them down with the fader on the bus track... I have a mixing video that might help... czcams.com/video/IdxNqxeZyxI/video.html

Hey man, Sitala doesn't want to show up in Cakewalk for me and no matter where I place it in my files, the VST Scan simply doesn't get it. Do you know what to do in this case? I'd really appreciate any help
you can try an uninstalling Sitala then redownloading and putting it in the Cakewalk path when it ask where you want it to go.. I have a video that might help.. czcams.com/video/UbkK6V5LYqc/video.html

And I watched your video on MPC in Cakewalk... same thing, I don't see the.dll
Ok... I know they default to the Steinberg folder so make sure that Cakewalk is going to that folder... And they should show up in the uncategorized folder in Cakewalk... So prefences... Vst...add... And find c..programs... Steinberg and it should come up in Cakewalk ... Hope this helps..😀🙏🏾

Can you use piano roll for each one or not?
Not sure what your asking.. For an instrument track you can use piano roll.. For audio track you cannot... I think that what u are asking..🤔

You can use the piano roll.. They start at C3 on the piano roll view...

@@XELOhh1 ok so for the step sequencer I can only do 64 beats then I can’t do anymore and my beats are going to loop but I can’t make more
You can make as much as you want you can duplicate a sequence or start a new one were you want.. let's say you made a 16 bar step and for the next section you wanted to change it... You can click on step sequencer and it will make a new sequence just make sure your starting point is were you want the sequence to start... So if you have 16 bars already you can start at bar 17 and start the sequence there... I hope that makes sense
