I remember listening to this when on a train bound to Edinburgh, Scotland. The light falling through the trees was golden, in a mist it seemed. I will never forget that feeling.

lol My husband of 32 years (and 4 years of a relationship prior to that), left me for our closest friends wife.
She gave him a patio set, which he brought to our still shared home, though I was not living there...
As I drove up to pick up some things I recognizing her recently purchased patio set before she had left her husband, now in my back yard, I threw the table in the air to land on the top which was glass. It shattered. I then went to the garage and got the chain saw. The chairs were iron with material centers. I took the chain saw to them.... No one was ever going to use this again.
I think it was my way of killing them both.

Man I first heard this 5-6 years ago on Spotify, randomly, while madly in love. It has changed meaning since, but the original memory doesn't fade. I love songs that can mean very different things depending on where you're at in your life. One of my most heartbreaking tracks of the last decade.

He first messed up (hence why he started cutting their bed in half). She then does her part to destroy their bed as well (with the bed obviously representing their relationship). After the fallout he reaches out to her to offer nourishment and she accepts, although there is not a connection there anymore. They each sit a moment on their own broken pieces of what remains of their bed. Then they appear to be making the decision to take the broken pieces of their relationship (the bed) and making something new (the little boat). The white flag represents that they surrender to each other again and their sailing off into the calmer water on their new bed that only has room for the two of them. They appear to continue on together, even if they are not currently connected anymore. They represent a relationship that has been trough a great trial but continues on.
OR
They just really like cutting up nice mattresses and frames of a bed, jamming up chainsaws with plush from said bed, and making a people sized raingutter regatta trimaran to sail off into the unknown. They represent people with more money and time and less sense than most folk have.
Either way I am a fan of djhiatus and Shura and this is a great song.

I've had this song on repeat for weeks. I first noticed it in a free hug video that used it as background music and heard the sampling from Des'ree's kissing you. That is one of my all time favorite songs so I had to find the amazing artists who created this glorious masterpiece. I can't tell you how much this song does for me.
My now husband was my High school sweetheart and the video and song related so much. First the bed, like all relationships, physical attraction is usually the first thing to come. After time, the sexual heat lowers and in sets love. I love the way they cut up the bed and dragged it to the sea to create a foundation they both float away on. It's like they used their initial attraction as a base to move forward knowing that though their love has morphed into something deeper and sometimes sad and melancholy, they never forget their beginning or why they stay. Even the words set my heart on fire. We got married, had our son and daughter, named them after ourselves, and in the midst of hard days and arguments we always remind one another of our promises. Where the bed used to be a place of extreme passion, it is now a place of refuge between two people who really know one another in all our faults and on it, we stay afloat still 12 yrs later.
And build a good foundation and no one can get in the way.

Completely feel this. The betrayal and neglect of love or nurture coming from something built between two people as a selfish or heartless act coming from perhaps being in love of being loved rather than love , is the worst feeling any human can give another another to bear. It destroys your world when something built that was meant to be a foundation of a future. A life imagined next to someone recklessly and selfishly destroyed by another who's lost and taken from the world from the world both had. The process of cope can lead to also self destruction and changing yourself and perception forever. Numbness from trauma amungst other things leaving you lost with no guidance, stuck with that love, promise or vow you in denial holding as long as you can hands clenched to the image of the person you fell in love to bleeding as the love changes into something else. I'll always love her. I'll always do it exactly the same if I could. Because I knew who she truly was, her potential, integrity, beauty that young girl who for a time our world went untouched from the wickedness of this world, surpassing relationships of peers amungst us. People saying well make it, surprised we've last so long, encouraging ourselves. In my mind hope for better days. I'd give my life for her and all my life time to make her and our lives better learning from those before us, breaking generational chains and helping others in similar context. But it all fell apart washed away. I choose as many mature and egoless people may as well as time fades, to only keep the good and or beautiful memories despite the bitter sweetness and sometimes torture of it. I've loved and have been loved. I gave my all until numbness is all that's left. Emotions recognized from priors rather that the feeling and process of. Knowing that rest stop lovers would make me like her or keeping my distance as to not take the negative residue of this prior one to another that may be the one true. Spare someone real what was done to me. As the 1st love to your life it the real one and all following is a replacement of the last. I've loved and have been beyond heartbroken. That experience is my own to keep, heavy cross to carry. Don't estrange your from yourself as you are being forced to from another. No mater what don't cheat or lie to yourself or let the world take you and allowing these negative dagars force you to doing or becoming what you are not. We all want to love not to hate. Just forgive and don't let someone that's not worth it lay weight to your heart and mind. Because it's self harm and that heart may belong to someone so much better that life will bring to you. Don't seek love. You don't find love , love finds you and in the moment build yourself making sure you are what that one real dream person deserves. If we all did this devorce, abortions destruction to the family and society as a whole will truly evolve to greater things. The simple but beyond complex key word is sincerity. - Sincerely me
