I think it just shows how good this guy was when his now "washed up years" he averaged 17-12 on 55% shooting while still being a solid rim protector. His offense touch was definitely limited even in his prime, but he is essentially the ultimate version of Deandre Jordan and Clint Capela, with more strength and athleticism and at least some post game.
This man led a team just as bad as Lebron 2007 team to the finals could of been a top 5 C of all time

I don't know why Howard has such a bad reputation. He has never quit on his teams. Sometimes he complains too much but a lot of people do a lot worse than that and have reputations no where near as bad as his seems to be. Just look at Chris Paul, the dude has on at least 3 occasions straight up clocked someone in the nuts and he seems to be held in as high regard as anyone in the league. Hell, Howard took the Magic to the NBA finals as the teams best player and actually won a game. Chris Paul, the supposed best leader in the game hasn't even been to a damn conference finals. Howard gets a lot more shit than he deserves.
For what it is worth I am a Lakers fan and yeah he pretty much screwed us but I don't care. That was his decision to make when he left for the Rockets. He should still make it into the Hall of Fame by the it is all said and done.
