I still feel there are teams that still have that passion for beautiful football. Barcelona are probably the best example but yeah of course the game has always been a huge business. It was back then and it is right now.

This was the era of football that had me fall in love with the game. 2014 was the last year I’ve ever enjoyed the football before it went downhill.
dont play like msn wasnt beautiful...
In the 2006 World Cup 12 players that played being CR7, R9, Messi, Cannavaro, Kaka, Modric, Ronaldinho, Shevchenko, Zizou, Nedved, Owen and Figo all won or would go on to win the Ballon D'or 👍
Thats unfair. In 2006 Messi and CR7 havent started to win yet, and in next World Cups, both didnt let win to anybody else

@@TheThemrcool24 I disagree football in the 2000s was super slow and stagnant. Also way less scoring.
Was lucky to grow up in this era. The passion, the tension and the loyalty to the colors. Not playing football anymore but the passion still carries on, even on the joystick with my pals on Playstation lol.
La Liga in the 2000s was unmatched. Crazy players, crazy goals, and crazy jerseys!
You can say the same about Premier League.

Football those days was like art, all players doing they best to show the crowd how creative they are
Guti was one of the most technically gifted players of all time. They don't make Guti's anymore...
Back then was entertainment now it’s a job
Born in 1992, watching football since 2003...I remember how Rooney used to be my favorite player and then Messi.. But now I am watching lesser because now I have to earn..! Anyway great era from 2003 onwards!!
Football was so fun back then almost every player had flair and in my personal opinion had the best talents or Wondekids like Messi,CR7, Robinho, Quaresma,Nani, van prise,Ronney the list goes on
The only thing I liked better was the big one size fits all Jerseys. From 2000-2008, kits were the best but now they’re ridiculously tight. I don’t want to see the outline of every player’s body.
The difference between 2000 and now is players spend more time on social media rather than on football pitch.
Good old days ... Thanks for the video!
nostalgia:( i remember back in 2010 cheering messi from my heart :((
There was more quality.. Players like Zidane,R9,Ronaldinho,Henry,Del Piero,Raul,Figo,Pirlo,Cafu,Carlos,Totti,Kaka, and defenders that were actually real men.
Y'all remember playing Fifa 07 08 and 09 it was even better than what is called Fifa now
2000s era of football legends/greats was the best!!
Unpredictable was the true beauty of 2000s football. Now it all changed .
Messi and Ronaldinho when the miss is better than the goal...
???
onizuka ronaldinho’s and messi’s almost wonder goals were better than most of the scored goals here
Zlatan turning footballers into farmers since 2000's
yet never won no ballon d'or. nore a champions league. against the best teams, he had real defenders who checked him like Nesta or Jaap Stam. everybody stays quiet when Stam looks at them. your Zlatan included
It's nice to see that a Messi fan using Cristino's clip #Respect .keep up the good work
It's really childish to like just one.. they are both amazing players so if you like football you like both.
All these players that played in early 2000's should still be playing instead of attention seeking and retiring. I'd keep going forever hammering 17 year olds at 39... I couldn't be arsed leaving my prime.
96-2010 was peak football. Declined last year. Too robotic and more corporate

Football in the noughties was too good, too many many legends and memories.
People are always missing the good old days. When in 1905 Alf Common became the first footballer to cost over £1000 people said professionalism had ruined the beautiful game. So why is it that 105 years later the line was actually crossed and the game ruined?
Dude the crowd ambient was fire
Love the video and love the fact that you included some plays that didn't end being a goal. Some of them were brilliant!
El phenomenon played for Barcelona and Madrid
German players were training especially for him in 2002 WC but still they somehow didn't manage to stop him just how much better it can get just imagine great video magical messi 😍😍
When players had individual displays of greatness on the field...they let them be creative. Now they're control robots playing by a control system...thank you Guardiola🙏🏾
Football was more technical and more enjoyable back then
that Gaucho's long shot goal and dribbling still give me thrillssss
Back then every team had at least one absolute baller who wasn't afraid to do his own thing on the pitch. Now days everyone moves to a bigger club after one good season and are forced to play in a system or a certain way which doesn't exactly suit their playstyle.
Idk what was crazier the fact that Ronaldinho successfully passed the ball of his back. Or the fact that the #8 at the time reacted and scored making the back pass into a back assist....
The automatically created english subtitles on the first clip are crazy lol
i missed all of these games in the 2000s because i was too poor to see them in Mexico (no cable, no sky) now i can see as many games as i want, but covid canceled football. why god, why

Before was more passion now is more for money and fame.
Bla Bal dont be stupid. Footballers in the 2000s earned alot as well. Plus alot of footballers have passion for the sport
@@stephenjames227 its Not about player Salary.
Its about Fifa who softened the rules in order to protect their cash cows, the attacking player.
These player attract new fans to the game which bring fresh money Into the System. Thats why its Not favorable if these player get injured seriously.
Big clubs want to make success predictable in order to earn more money. Thats why player get restricted by coaches and club and thats why coaches in topclubs dont last long.
So overall he is right
Almost every team had legends back then, even almost every national team was able to compete against the power houses like Germany, Brazil, Argentina, etc.
Maybe the only thing i hate that days was juventus almost win every game with longshot (nedved, davids, Marchisio etc) but i still enjoy that😂
Ahhhh. The good days
Social media has us hyper analyzing every little thing these players do instead of just enjoying them like we did.
1998-2010 the pick of this beautiful game.

Today we have Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo that are above 100 with long careers.
Good players are around 80.
The average players are 60.
In 2000 we had Ronaldo and Zidane over 100. But Ronaldo got short top-level career because of injuries, defenders were far more rude.
Good players were around 85.
Average top-league players were 75.
60 players were in the second league.

The Europen leagues and teams were saturated with world class talent. Football was just on a different level
I feel like the issue today is that the "average or below average players" are alot better now. Last dribble I remember in a top game was salah vs city n that was time ago.
