I am sad to see Benchmade go this direction. No More Benchmade knives for 'Ol Tim, The Angry Marine. . By the way, keep an eye on the pro-2A rally we are going to have in Oregon's capital Salem on March 23. It is being sponsored by Radian, an Oregon manufacturer of gun parts such as trick charging handles, etc. These guys are stepping up and stepping out, in a time when Oregon's largely Democratic legislature is going into meltdown with anti-firearm measures they will try to get on the ballot in 2019. We are rapidly morphing from a fine, balanced western state where pursuits like shooting, hunting, and the liberties of firearm ownership are in jeopardy, from a segment of far-left zealots out of the Portland metro area. This city, along with Eugene and one or two smaller cities, now literally OWN the vote in Oregon. If the Sanctuary State gets it's way, thousands of illegal immigrants will be given the vote, in direct conflict with our federal laws. Oregon, in maritime parlance, is heading for the rocks, or perhaps, a ram with the non-liberal left population here.

Thank you for clarifying and shedding light on this issue for so many of us. Another company I will never do business with again,,, along with Dick’s, Nike, and the NFL (to name a few)
Sucks because I really liked Benchmade, not anymore. What is going on in Oregon..... senate bill 501 poses a huge problem. Any thoughts about restriction to maximum 5 round magazine capacity? And no more than 20 rounds in a 30 day period? Second Amendment supporters need to fight this.
What makes this situation worse is that Oregon law does NOT mandate destruction of guns that were used as evidence in a trial. See this from Outdoor Wire: www.theoutdoorwire.com/features/898fa841-91ba-47c5-a4c9-fdc903988ff2 The relevant section of the law reads: "The law enforcement agency may destroy or sell the weapon, use the weapon as a service weapon or use the weapon for training, identification or demonstration purposes." So maybe Oregon City Police Department's internal policy, rather than the law, mandated destruction of forfeited guns after the trial. That makes OCPD an anti-2A police department. Benchmade had the choice to (a) offer to buy those guns from the OCPD, or (b) refuse to help the OCPD carry out a policy that is idiotic and anti-gun. And they chose (c) help them carry out an internal policy, not mandated by law, that is senseless, idiotic, and a waste of taxpayer dollars.
The second amendment protects “arms” not just firearms. Benchmade needs to realize the bigger picture and over arching principles they are undermining. Just look at New York and London rules on knives. If they don’t support us there won’t be any support for them when the arms grabbers come for their products too.
I don't currently own any Benchmade knives. I've been more of a Spyderco fan myself; however, I've been considering a Bugout and a few other models. Not anymore. They lost my future potential business.
Benchmade has also had declining quality control over the past few years, which isn't all that bad for a knife except for the fact that Benchmade charges a premium just because their logo is on it. If you want a good USA made knife look at Hogue, ZT, Spyderco or Emerson. I also love Cold Steel knives even though they're made mostly in Taiwan.
@@gnarl12 The patent on the axis lock has expired, so I imagine more companies will be coming out with similar locking mechanisms. (HK Exemplar by Hogue)
Speechless. I’ve been buying Benchmade folders since the 80s Bali-song days, but we have to call these corporations out when they try to play nice with anti-gunners. We need to keep reminding folks of these companies’ bad behavior so we don’t slip back into patronizing their products. I will be destroying my BM knives. It will be sad destroying usable equipment but not as sad as watching BM being complicit in destroying firearms.
Screw Benchmade! Their true colors have been exposed! They’ll never see another dime from me. You’re either with us, or you’re against us. Benchmade has made it clear, they are against us!
I recently left Benchmade because of their weak pocket clips. They refuse to use titanium and I end up buying aftermarket. Now I learn they're overzealous in destroying firearms for the police and donate to the Democratic Party. I do not support those who support those who would disarm us. Gun banners are not stopping with firearms. They want to make knives illegal too. I'm done with Benchmade knives. I recently bought a Microtech and I'm ready to buy another
I just purchased my first Benchmade which was the Bugout 535 Gry-1. Had I known they were anti-gun, or had known they supported so many anti gun politicians I would have never purchased a Benchmade knife. Needless to say it will be my last Benchmade purchase.
The sad thing is today everything is done with the fear of a lawsuit. If the police department sold/auctioned off the weapons and then it was used in a crime, they would be the ones sued. I do not agree with this practice, but it is they world we live in today. I am bothered with companies taking sides in political matters, if for no other reason, they are attempting to influence people to their own views. They should be neutral and leave politics out of it.
Your back yard is so awesome! And I am done with Benchmade. The fact that the cops needed the guns cut up doesn't mean Benchmade had to participate. Becnhmade also reportedly donated to anti-gun politicians. Last Benchmade I bought cost $140. How much of that went to support people who want to violate our rights? I won't be buying a Benchmade again. The irony is most people who restrict guns also restrict knives, so Benchmade is supporting people who may want to outlaw their products eventually!
Simple, if anyone donates to anti gun politicians. NO SALES! Vote with your money.
fair enough
When in doubt spend your money on a company that actively supports the Second Amendment. Thank you.

Axis lock
@@gnarl12 The patent on the axis lock has expired, so I imagine more companies will be coming out with similar locking mechanisms. (HK Exemplar by Hogue)
@@thekeystonekid8687 we shall see. If they make it in the USA and it's as good or better than Benchmade, I switch in a heartbeat.
TheKeystoneKid CSK's made in Taiwan is better than being made in China. I like the Brooklyn smasher.
will 2nd ZT. better construction, better blade steel, frame locks with replacable lockbar insert at better prices.
Hope the rain we're getting in Kentucky. Isn't getting as far as u. Thanks man for explaining it for me!
I was on the fence until I heard about the donations by Benchmade.
Screw Benchmade! Their true colors have been exposed! They’ll never see another dime from me. You’re either with us, or you’re against us. Benchmade has made it clear, they are against us!
I think benchmades are overpriced I have only owned a couple and have sold them but I have wanted a 940 for a while..... guess I won’t be buying that
Not comfortable with the Surefire situation either.
I've purchased 2 Benchmade knives and as much as I like my Benchmade I'll not be buying another.
I will continue to boycott Benchmade Knives.
Thank you for exposing this company. We really need to know who our anti gunners are. TheYankeeMarshall just spoke to this important issue.
You're welcome 👍🏽
Anyone donating your benchmade, or putting them up for a firesale? Send them my way. I'm interested 😊
Spyderco leatherman and gerber? Where are they on 2nd ammendment and lefty donations?
I don't know
I recently left Benchmade because of their weak pocket clips. I recently bought a Microtech and I'm ready to buy another
If you look close at pics they were making NFA items..yet I have a feeling nobody's gonna kick their door down at 4am
I always preferred Spyderco over Benchmade. Now i Know why.
I have none of their knives, and now I know I NEVER will.
Off to eBay my Benchmade knives go!
Thank you so much Mr Guns, im in oregon and the corruption is so deep it never ends... I'll be watching this channel to the end.
Thank you
Back in my 11b days in the 90's with the 101st, knives made from gerber, sog, spyderco did just fine. If it works for me I stick with it.
I just purchased my first Benchmade which was the Bugout 535 Gry-1. Had I known they were anti-gun, or had known they supported so many anti gun politicians I would have never purchased a Benchmade knife. Needless to say it will be my last Benchmade purchase.
I am not going to even think about getting benchmade. DONE FOR EVER.
I have one Benchmade...no more... where they share their funds speaks volumes to their moral values or lack thereof. Done.
It was over when I saw the SKS getting cut.
They're playing both sides of the fence. It's better to get rid of companies like that. All people have to do is stop buying their crap.
Was not aware that the police were allowed to make sbs or benchmade
It’s about haves and have nots more than anything. Political parties aren’t that different. They are all driven by money, power and influence.
