Yes, you can really tell he was EXTREMELY reserved during filming and probably as a lot more to say about it but it’s unnecessary for us to hear and I applaud him for addressing it in that way. I would imagine it is really difficult to be concise and civil when it’s of this nature and he showed a lot of restraint and class in this response.

Thank you so much for your service, Mike. I totally understand not wishing to talk about your time in the service too much. My Grandfathers both served in WWII (a USN PO3 and a USAAF 1st Lt) and neither really liked talking about their time in the service. My dad *is* a veteran (USAF Lt Col) but never served a combat tour. He loves talking about his travels more than anything service related. I think, in general, true heroes never like to shout their accomplishments loud and proud from the roof tops. Their validation comes from doing the deed itself, not from the accolades potentially heaped upon them. Once again, Mike, Thank you for your service.

Lol I got called stolen valor because someone noticed that all my ribbons in my ASU were from the “wrong service”. I was active navy for 8 years and joined my states national guard during college. So all ribbons were navy ribbons except BCT training ribbon (why does the army even issue that one?). I just laughed that shit off and got my discount Applebee’s. Some people’s kids...

When Mike says he is heavily redacting what he did, he isn’t kidding. I never served, but I knew him well during the deployment to which he refers in this video and stayed in contact with him throughout. He could be making a LOT more money bragging about what he did in the USAF and Army, but he chooses not to.

I served in the AF during the Vietnam conflict, but was safely in Minot the whole time. My biggest risk was frostbite. I never even admit to it to guys that were in-country.

Just came across your video of several months ago. Love your content and insights. Thank you for your service and keep your head high.
During my time helping the Green Beret Foundation, I was fortunate enough to work directly with the former Command Sergeant Major of 1st SF. He was the most senior NCO in all of SF. He and Mike worked in the same building in 1st SF and knew each other.
When deployed, Mike sent me a photo of him standing on a technical with a big grin on his face. I joked that he should’ve looked more serious. He sent me a new photo without a grin.
The nametape you sometimes see me wearing written in Arabic is just my name in Arabic. Mike had one of the street shops in Iraq make it for me, and he gave it to me when he got back. We both get a kick out of people freaking out about the Arabic without knowing it’s just my name.
I unsubscribed from TYM back when he was bad mouthing you. I'm glad to see you speaking up for Mr G&G. It's the stand-up thing to do. Hopefully TYM will change his behavior or go away. Either would be fine with me.

I remember you interviewing a Colonel, I think that was like the officer in charge of SF school. He seemed like he knew you well, not just in passing. I’ve also seen you wear Air Force shirts before. Being a Marine, I put 2 and 2 together and got 5 and figured you were like TACP or something. Never really gave it a second thought. You served honorably and that’s really all that matters. You’re one of my favorite CZcamsrs, in spite of the money you cost me when you post deals or review stuff I was on the fence about getting. It is a shame that there are people that feel the need to attempt to dishonor service members who have served faithfully and with honor, for whatever reason. The test results are in and have determined that that was a lie.
My dad's a vet. You'll never hear him speak of it. He's in his 70s and just now accepted the purple heart license plates that he's entitled to for FREE. Random people aren't entitled to know your past, no matter what it is. Much respect, and thank you for your service.
My father did his 20, retired and never mentions it, he was in Asia in 71 serving, he spent another 20+ working on nuke subs after and never talks about that either, he's 80 now

I've been a longtime viewer and subscriber of you mrgng. I am a viewer and subscriber because of your content not your background. Of course having a background is cool and helps for somethings but it's the passion that makes channels like yours valuable.

I actually just learned about this as I've been mostly staying off CZcams for a few years. I was googling the man child in question to see if everyone else finally saw him for what he was, and this subject came up. You've always been one of my favorite channels and I appreciate you keeping us apprised of changes in legislation as well. Your demeanor and your content speak volumes to your character. The man child has never had anything resembling character, which is why he had to go after yours. An unfortunate situation but I'm glad we got to hear about some of your experiences serving because of it. Thanks for all that you have done and continue to do.✌🏽
I must say, you did *A L O T* more than I would have done to refute a false claim, and did it with dignity and class. If it was done in a public manner, I'd think long and hard about civil action.
