I can't wait for the season to start. It's a great time to be a Chargers fan. I know it's going to be a long process, FAgency starts next week, then the draft, mini-camp, training-camp, pre-season, and then it all begins in September. It's going to be awesome, as a Chargers fan I'm so glad I get to witness this. 💯⚡

This dude coached Alex Smith as well so it wasn’t just the dual threat type of QBs. Honestly Herbert with a top 12 run game is an automatic playoff team for years to come if he can stay healthy. I am not the biggest fan of drafting Alt at 5 but if Harbaugh and the group think it will make us elite then I trust them (I would prefer Nabers or Bowers and of course Marvin but I doubt he falls to 5).
Always love Hayley's interviews, really insightful questions leading to great answers!
A great run game is always needed esp if they want to start winning playoff games soon.
Hopefully Marcus Brady brings some of that Shane Steichen/Frank Reich play action game & add Greg's always great running game they should keep Herbert healthy & the team competitive.

Wanted him last year,and I was in the minority ,but I'm glad he's here now. Been twenty years since we were a physical football team and this guy brings a arsenal of run designs to let Herbert eat off of play action.Its going to be a beautiful thing to watch

Why would anyone be worried to begin with? His offenses have always been very good at what we’ve been very bad at…. Running the ball! If you’re worried about his passing games that’s silly, Herbert is better than every single QB Roman has ever coached.

The emphasis on communication is so important. How many times have we seen a timeout wasted because players weren't in positions or alignment was off, etc. Making the system simple yet effective is paramount to the success of the players on his side of the ball just like Minter with the defense.

It’s not being realistic to think they’re going to sign a rb whose market value is around $10m.
People need to stop thinking it's gonna be the same offense it was in Baltimore it's not! While Lamar has improved as a passer, he's not Herbert! Same as Justin can run, but he's not Lamar! A big problem with this offense, besides injuries, was predictable plays! And no run game! Part of that was an inconsistent stable of backs, terrible run blocking, and finally, Moore was the same as Lombardi on 1st/2nd downs! R,R pass! So often we were in 3rd and long! I'm really excited about this season!! GO CHARGERS!! BOLT TF UP!⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
If you think lamar was the reason that Roman’s passing offense was bad your in for a rude awakening. That offense is gonna look the exact same, good to great running game with a mediocre to poor passing offense. Oh and that run run pass that Moore did? Yea he’s gonna do the same
I love how the coaches are properly calling out the last regime. It validates what we as fans saw . Laziness. No originality. No toughness. No accountability . They are calling that all out and each coach has the same unified message. Not saying “ we follow coach Staley” they all independently have the same mindset.
Idk why anyone questioned this hire for us cause this guys a dog and loves ball. His mind is wild on the offensive side and we have some good weapons and can add even more through the draft. I’m hyped for this season

How much input does Harbaugh have on the offense, especially being a former qb and qb coach himself?
Swiss army knife with a strong run plays is what I got out of this.
It's going to take wonderful coaching skills and sustained hard study/ physical work from players to accomplish. Harbaugh will be a strong, positive influencer.
I think it isn't a stretch to say (and many would agree) this is Roman's last go. If he screws this up this will be the last thing he ever does football related! He seems to now have an understanding that running all the time doesn't work. He knows you need to mix things up. Let's see what happens. The best thing that could happen and i've said it before is he actually does a good job, someone else gets him next year, we get a comp pick for him and bring in a Pep or someone else.
