📖 In Broken Knuckles, Knuckles will die if you will try to press Left or Right on the controller while he is standing, running, rolling, gliding or jumping.
You can use Left or Right only to beat the special stages and to interract with objects (climbing and hanging on poles, etc.), except for pushing them.
To beat the game you need to utilize Knuckles' abilities to glide, climb up and down, spin-dashing, and his momentum.

This is actually a very interesting idea. Can’t press left or right, or else the character will die. I feel like with enough mechanics that don’t involve pressing left or right, we could actually get solid gameplay.
Try searching up something like "Sonic no left or right" on youtube and you should get some challenge videos by various creators.

I like to think of Hydrocity Zone's name as a similar case to the title of the game Okami. The title of the game Okami can be read as wolf, but can also be read as "god" but with showing respect, as Kami means god, and the "O" at the beginning of existing Japanese words, are used to refer to something you respect. Like, if you were to mention about a town or city in Japanese, and you want to show you respect it, you put an "O" at the start of the name of said town. Likewise, if you don't want to, or don't entirely, respect something, you don't put an "O" at the beginning of the existing word. Okami in the context of the name of the game Okami, is a play on words. Japanese often uses play on words. I think Sonic 3's Hydrocity Zone's name is a similar case: Both pronunciations are correct, it's just a matter of whatever the one reading it feels like calling it, it too being a play on words

Twice in one video he has said "Thats no good" and overall has done it three. i would like more of this series, it really is amazing how you don't need to press left or right as knuckles. If you ever do this again good luck, you'll need it, it probably only gets worse every zone.
This Game is like Nico and Nathan's challenges combined, Nico's no pressing Left challenge and Nathan's no pressing right challenge.

Some of the later levels on this would be 100% flat out impossible to clear with only being able to move through gliding and spin dashing, this would be a very depressing way to play the game. lol

This is way harder than something I'd want to do. By the way, hydrocity Robotnik's grenades let you grenade jump as long as you time it so you don't hit the bottom of the explosion. You should do more of this one.

It might would help if you want to play more of this game I think that someone did a challenge to beat Sonic 3 and Knuckles without holding right so that might help you see how to get through parts that are hard.

all those moments where spindashing could move you just how you need it but you wait for jump glide DX
The levels in classic sonic simulator that you made are cool but try to make a labyrinth one because it is a water level. You never made a water level in css (classic sonic simulator) before. Also incase your wondering where the air bubbles are, there in the items. ALSO!!! Don't forget to look up and press 1 at the same time because you forgot last time lol. (Pressing up and 1 at the same time only works with: CD_Sonic, S3_Sonic, S3_Tails, Metal Sonic.)

I was reading that the developers called it hydro-city not the other way around so it is meant to be like two different words.
I would imagine that the creator of this rom hack modified areas that would make it impossible for Knuckles to beat Sonic 3 & Knuckles without pressing left or right. Just a prediction of mine.

I’ve been playing sonic 1 on the sets genesis quite a lot and I’ve been getting better and better, I got the spring yard zone boss 2nd try and I got the final zone 3rd try even though I have no rings thanks to your tips and secret during zones.

Most of the time I play through sonic 2 but I decided to play through sonic 1 and as of now I’ve beat sonic 1 3 times and beat sonic 2 18 times and sonic 3 and knuckles once. Once again thank you

Well this you can't push left either. So it's gotta be harder I'd think
It's actually impossible to beat the game without pressing left (you can without pressing right) but this ROM hack seems to add some stuff in the sections where you're forced to move left such as that section near the beginning of Hydrocity Act 2, a spring was added
You can also beat sonic 1 and 2 without right or left
