In less than five seconds, you told a better origin story for Tails than anything else ever has, even the recent actual movie. Bravo on minimalist visual storytelling! Tartakovsky would be proud. Seriously.

I’m rewatching this, and the level of detail is insane! The fact that when they are transported outside of Oil Ocean zone they are in a desert, like how it foreshadows that OO Zone is just a stones throw away from Mirage Saloon Zone (Also nod to deleted zones), Brilliant!❤

I honestly teared up alil bit watching this this trilogy was so fun it brought back childhood memories and nostalgia well done and I loved the sonic heroes references that was added
I love how even though Sonic Origins just did something like this with the awesome Tyson Hesse cutscenes, this still gets REALLY close to the quality of that, yet this also has just a bit more emotion and heart to it that, while amazing and awesome and very professional, the Sonic Origins cutscenes just don't have. These exude way more of a fan-made charm and highlights WHY people love Sonic, that in a way, make these actually both compete with and compliment the Sonic Origins scenes.

The way you can see Ashura in this part is amazing 5:24
I like how tails face in metropolis zone perfectly captures every body playing the stage.
Watching all three Sonic stories at once really shows your progression with animation.
Sonic 1 was rather still, Sonic 2 was a step in the right direction, but by Sonic 3 & Knuckles, the characters really came alive!
In fact, I think some of what you showed might have served as inspiration for a few of the animated cutscenes in Sonic Origins.

This is awesome! You introduce each character so well! Especially tails, I love how he develops and becomes more independent, all without dialogue. Great job!

If you look closely, you can see that the great Egg Robo was missing an eye lense, before sonic even attacked it. This is a great attention to detail, showing that the robot was unfinished, and that's why it appears on scaffolding, instead of being inside the death egg itself

3:03 I like this concept so much! As if, when Tails was just a cub, and he was rescued by Sonic in the first game, then he encountered him once again in Sonic 2 and he remembers him. That's a cute headcanon 💕

You gotta love the extension of the Big Arms boss fight, as well as the incorporation of the Competition Mode stages in the Sonic 3 segment!
this is insane dedication - I have never Felt the games so chronologically - as if everything really did happen in a day or two!
The way you portray the story of the first 3 Sonic games is astonishing. If the Sonic games had cutscenes (aside from the Zone transitions in Sonic 3) I imagine they would look something like how you showed them. I'm in awe with how you did Sonic 3/And Knuckles. Especially how you incorporated several of the multiplayer stages in the most sensible of places, and the integration of certain pieces of Knuckles' portion of the story both during and after the events of the Sonic/Tails story.

Ok this is amazing, it was so faithful and attention to detail oriented. And making simple platform levels into something entertaining.
What I really enjoyed was how Knuckles and Tails got to use the emeralds, and not just Sonic.
