Anything in your neighbor's yard is his responsibility! If he doesn't build something or create a way to guide the water where he wants it he cannot get mad at you for anything.
I mean he can get mad at Brandon all he wants but if the neighbor doesn’t build something to elevate the water in his yard and Brandon already has something in place but still floods because of the amount of water, that’s on the neighbor not brandon
As far as the pipe in the pond, you know you can buy removable pvc caps that can go on the end of pipes and then be removed when needed. Just a thought.
Tell your neighbor...In case you haven't noticed, it's raining (and a lot) and water will collect and eventually make things overflow and flood. Install a drainage line to navigate the water where you want it to go........Aside from the neighbor issue, can you get a PVC pipe cover for that pipe?
How is it in your control for mother nature and a pond? He made a choice to live lower than ur property..i have the same problem with my neighbor but it's not on them for my yard flooding from rain..thats jusy harassment..i would suggest that u ask him if he has looked into investing in draining ditches that go towards his fancy pond
It’s a non natural water feature. Like an upstairs neighbor leaving the tub running and flooding the apartment below. 😂 we have a pond too.. but our house is on the downhill so we just flood ourselves. Except it hasn’t yet because we don’t get that much rain… in Seattle 😂

How we plug a pipe under water is a (whatever size you need) rubber dog ball with a handle. Plugs up nice and can pull it off easier with all the water pressure against it. Has a small hole in it so it won't float when it fills with water 👍. Or just get a sump pump, gas trash pump. put it wherever you want.
I mean if they don't understand how property works and you know where water goes if you're on a hill it obviously goes down the hill. But look at you and all your hunting gear coming in handy
dont carry your neighbor's baggage. it is their problem they dont do anything about the flooding. it is their responsibility to fix the flooding issue on their property. being downhill, common sense tells you water will go down hill.

Fellow farm owner here use a 5-gallon bucket upside down over the flood pipe👌🏿 you will have to get in the water to put it in place but once you put it in place you can thank me later 😅

The trampoline moved in the bucket didn’t because The bucket partially filled with rainwater for weight and the curvature of the bucket acts like an airfoil of a wing, but vertical and the trampoline has way more surface area even though the net is full of holes
One is clearly a kite 🤣 we forgot to close our umbrella one windy day and it was comical to watch it lift straight up and sail out of the courtyard over the house and into the back yard 😂

What if once the pond gets back to below the pipe you stop blocking it and then gallons of water wouldn't drain off all at once it would just be as the rain comes and hopefully wouldn't be as terrible for the neighbor the next time since it won't allow the pond to get that full to begin with if that makes sense
A suggestion for the pond drainage... maybe offer to pay for the landscaping/excavation or whatever for your water to drain into his pond? Idk. Just a thought.

As a Texan is also very familiar with what we call tanks (ponds) why in the world are you letting water out? It’s still below natural water/grass line with no rain in the forecast. Keep that water!
