Sorry to hear man you are going through a difficult time. My partner and I have been trying for our first baby for years, and finally got pregnant, but lost our baby last year due to a miscarriage. It's very tough, as we are running out of time being in our late 30's, and options of IVF just aren't there for us financially. So I completely understand the stress you and your sister must be going through. I really hope the wee one will be just fine! My sister went through the same thing, her baby needed an oxygen tank four a couple months but now she’s doing super well and healthy! Don’t worry, the first couple weeks can be rough but it all works out in the end: )
usually wouldn’t open up like this on the internet but i personally relate to this on an extreme level.
I was born premature and my heart was also not fully developed, a valve that was not supposed to be open was and i had to have open heart surgery at i believe 2 months old. that leaded me to have only one working vocal cord and i had to be in the hospital for the first 3 months of my life. i am now almost 18 years old, my family i believe did not think i was going to make it but i did… i truly feel for you and i believe your niece will be a warrior like i was and still am. your content has helped me a lot through my mental health issues and i’ve always had a good laugh when i didn’t think i could while watching your videos, keep your head up and i you and your family are so strong especially your sister and niece. proud of you for realizing and taking action to talk to someone when you need it.❤

This is so raw , you’ve let us in on your life and it makes us love you and appreciate you more . My little girl had open heart surgery too at 1 week old and it’s such a tough time . My 10 year old is also a heart warrior, he had open heart at 5 days, and has since had another few, he's now got a pacemaker and will have to have more at some point. Something I struggle with is opening up about my feelings, it's important to talk about them to help process ❤ You'll be an amazing uncle ❤️

Hey Brandon,
I was born 17 years ago with Pneumonia. I was hooked up to breathing machines and was hospitalized for over a month. The doctors told my parents that I would most likely die and even if I lived I would be mentally handicapped and in a wheelchair for all of my life. Not only did I make a full recovery but I am wheelchair free and do not have a mental handicap of any kind. My parents had lost all hope but I survived and I’m healthy and happy now. There is always hope. I’ll keep Lilly, your sister and you in my prayers.

My nana passed away 4 weeks ago. My mum has terminal lung cancer and had a plural effusion drain put in last week to take pressure off her lung. She was on life support last November. My daughter is 15 and seen so much yet been a total rock. Like you I always turn to my mum when down. It's been so hard to try be the pillar for everyone. Mum couldn't even go to nans funeral she was that sick. Worrying for someone you genuinely love is hard. It's hard to keep strong. You're an amazing uncle, brother, father, husband and son. Be proud of you because we all are x

Miss Lillian Maze was born with Truncus Arteriosous and had surgery to repare it at 11 days old. We were told she would be in ICU for weeks to recover, but she had other plans. She was moved out 6 days later and now “fingers crossed” Looking to be able to go home Monday! 😭 Your prayers and thoughts have worked for our sweet baby and we could never fully express our gratitude to this community.

We had a lot of issues with my oldest son when he was born. Not nearly this serious. But still pretty scary. It's one thing going through tough stuff as an adult. But these tiny little humans going through tough stuff. It's a whole different feeling all together. Watching these tiny little beings fight so hard. You're worried about their health, but amazed by how strong this little being really is. My heart goes out to Morgan and your family. Hoping little Lilly makes a full recovery. 💜
I know this has been a really tough time for all of you, but it is also a joyous time since your little niece is here. I grew up with a friend of mine who had open heart surgery as a baby, also. She had a hole in her heart that was too large to close on its own. I had heart surgery when I was 12. I also had a large hole in my heart which made my heart enlarged and working harder. I looked sickly and was really small all 12 years. I was thankful that I didn't have a heart attack because of running around so much (as kids tend to do).
The doctors are so amazing to have found this so soon for her. Now she will grow up like a normal child and won't even remember that procedure and all. She's a strong bean. You'll get to see her soon and get to be the loving aunt and uncle you both are ❤️

My husband is a heart warrior as well. Little Lily is now part of the “zipper club.” They are so cool. My husband is a member. He was born with severe heart defects. Pig valves are awesome because they can grow with the body. My husband has a mechanical heart valve. Technology is seriously amazing. From my own personal experience, miracles DO happen. I’m married to one! All of the good vibes sent to Little Lily and your sister!

I’m happy and excited for your sister! Last year I became an aunt for the first time and I have a 1 year old niece now they’re expecting a baby boy by next year.
