    Out of all the workbench videos I’ve watched lately (which is a lot), this approach offers the most balanced approach between rigidity, optimized material requirements, and simplicity. Also, it’s more visually appealing. Thank you for sharing this, Anika!

    Anika you did an amazing job. Thank you for sharing your awesome workbench build with us today. I use the same mobile casters on my 300 pound workbench. Everyone stay safe, happy and healthy. From Henrico County Virginia

    Love your plans and videos. You explain everything so well and I watch them just to learn new techniques. I'm sure its a lot of work but know we appreciate what you do!

    @Anikasdiylife thanks for the lesson.
    I also work alone...I use a combination of clamps and ratchet straps. Especially for long pieces. If you use them...make sure you place the ratchet part in an area where it won't dig into the project. If that is not possible, simply place scrap wood between the piece before tightening.
    Before you operate the ratchet piece you want to pull as much slack out of the ribbon first.

    I absolutely love your videos/tutorials! You make it very easy for someone like me (with almost no experience in building) to learn how to construct something. I don't need to make a work bench, but I DO need to make a frame for my countertop to sit on in my miniskoolie so I'll be using this as a guide. I don't need those castles but I wish I did because they look super cool! THANK YOU for all your advice and tips and sharing your knowledge with us ☺🤗

    I always enjoy watching your video!!! I've learned a lot through just following you. A special request from a beginner..... Can you please make a video that details what tools are needed in the workshop for beginners?

    For me this makes a good assembly table instead of workbench. A workbench for me has to be heavy, solid and without bounce when chopping a mortise or dovetails. Good video.

    Thank you for making this and other videos! You explain well, give great tips for us beginners, and you show the steps well, which I love! This workbench will be my first beginner DIY project!! Can you recommend a planer that is reasonably priced and great for a beginner to work with? Keep up the great work!

    • @Anikasdiylife
      @Anikasdiylife  Před 10 měsíci +1

      You are very welcome! The Dewalt planer is great. But if you’re starting off and doing simple beginner projects, you don’t really need a planer. I would recommend waiting for a little bit.

    Did you attach the top of the shelf dividers to the aprons/braces? I saw the pocket holes but didn’t see that in the video.

    Hello Anika! I follow your channel and you have some very professional techniques of the carpentry trade. Do you recommend the Kreg “drill block”?
    I saw this tool today used for drilling straight holes.

    Thank you. I would have put the casters on the inside of the workbench legs - to prevent tripping over them.

    • @Anikasdiylife
      @Anikasdiylife  Před 5 měsíci +1

      It doesn’t really cause any problems. I have had them on a bunch of my workbenches. You won’t be able to use them from the inside of the legs.

    About how much is the cost for materials for this workbench?

  • @nuruddinmahfuz410

    It's a nice DIY project for beginners. I just am a bit skeptical about pockethole joints. With this much 2x4s used, don't you think some wood joints would have been better??

    • @Anikasdiylife
      @Anikasdiylife  Před 10 měsíci

      My content focuses on DIY for beginners so that's the reason I choose the joints I use... You can do different ones if you're more advanced for this or any project! :D

  • @dragonfarm2texas518
    @dragonfarm2texas518 Před 10 měsíci

    How many times have you tripped or kicked the casters sticking out like that? I get so focused on the project on the table that I would totally break my ankle....
    Other than that, it is a great and easy build.
