- 15 minutes of little Djinn the Fennec Fox! Hope you've got some time and like this longer video of Djinn on holiday.
In September, we went a long weekend away to Valkenburg: a Dutch city famous of it's many caves and castle ruins. We had a great time: going for walks, having lovely dinners, visiting spooky places and having Djinn sleeping with us in the hotel bed.
Can you tell Djinn's getting more tired every day? He really enjoyed it, though. Hope you enjoy this video as well!

How does djinn behave so well with all that delicious food around? If I was djinn I would jump on the table and slobber all over that food. Or at very least I would wiggle a lot to protest. He is such a civilized fox!

As always, I'm so impressed by how you've managed to accomplish with Djinn.
Yes Djinn is very unique but you did what I would have thought impossible.
Thank you! He still surprises us with his own ideas on how to enjoy life. For example, these days his door to the garden is open. In the morning he walks outside to sit in the sun. When it gets too hot, he goes back to his room to sleep in his bed. In the late afternoon he goes outside again, sometimes brings a snack, and sleeps in the sunlight again. If he's too hot, he moves a couple of inches into the shade. He lays flat on his side, sometimes even with his paws up. It amazes me how he's found his own way of spending the day to enjoy it as much as possible. He's incredibly chill, and almost dog-like. Such a cute, happy foxy ❤️

All the time, hahahaha!
Most people are rude, jump in front of us to make us stop, only want to know if it's legal to own him and where we bought him... But some are nice and truly interested in learning more about Djinn. Then it's great to have a conversation and let them pet him.

How wonderful to be able to take your sweet little fox on holiday!! He's such a sweet little boy and such a good travel companion! Traveling with pets is rather hard here in the US. Love little Djinn!

Question, what products do you use for Djinn?
To wash him? Or for food?
Love the longer videos! I know you potty trained Djinn very well. Curious, is it ever a concern he could pee while you're holding him outside or he's in your lap at a place? Or he knows not to or you make sure the tank's already empty? 🙂
Thank you! That's a funny question. Short answer: if it's soft, pee will come out at some point 🤣
To prevent Djinn from peeing on the bed, we put him on the litter box until he pees. I managed to teach him to pee and poop on command, which is the best thing ever.
He also understands that he needs to use the pee pads when we're not home with the litter box. So when we're walking outside, he doesn't potty like dogs do. He waits until we're in the car to pee on the pee pad 😂
He tries hold everything in when he's on our lap in a restaurant. When he needs to go, he gets super nervous. So I take him and the pee pad to a quiet place and he immediately potties.
If you ignore his behavior, he will eventually poop on your lap 😜
But he warns you beforehand, which is amazing I think!

Thank you! I was told males are more relaxed and females are more feisty because they are the bosses in nature. But Djinn didn't get that memo, he's very temperamental!

We have a short leash of 1,5 m (5 feet) and a retractable leash of 8 m (26 ft). We have another line that we can add to the retractable leash and make it a total of 16 m (53 ft).
