We do want to quickly say that M21 had some decent cards for CEDH, but it didn't really give us a lot in the way of competitive commanders. We did do our best to tune our decks as best we could for a CEDH setting, but in all honesty, they probably ended up on the 7-8 power scale when all is said and done.

It was errata'd to say "any target". It _can_ target planeswalkers now.

My issue is with Goblin Sharpshooter untapping after killing Liliana. Unless I am missing something, GS should stay tapped seeing that plainswalkers are not creatures.
@@librab103 It was don in response to another death trigger. it didn't untap because of killing Lili, it untapped because of the death trigger.
@@PlayingWithPowerMTG which death. It tapped to do a point of damage to Liliana. What other creature died in response to Liliana dying?
â@@librab103 Drannith Magistrate. Sac'd through Liliana, which is a death trigger on sharpshooter, and ryan responded to it.

I have to say, despite the allegedly "weaker" power of the decks - these games were such a pleasure to watch, as they felt more unique and diverse then the usual suspects in cEDH. Kudos for trying this out!
Totally agree. I also prefer this different games. I will sacrifice power level anytime for fun factor (and puns like purrrphoros).

That was an AMAZING heads up play Ryan! I was wondering why you didnât go for it until I realized that it was 100% instant speed! Folgerâs deck was so cool. I love Blood tribute and love seeing it in higher power pods. Mono color is best color
i get it that the decks are at a lower tier than usual but can the "snoop gob" combo be a cedh material? it only needs 1 goblin recruiter to potentially win

I have a grenzo dungeon warden deck that wins with the snoop, itâs powerful in my eyes
It's definitely powerful, my one concern is that Kiki-Jiki has to be on the top of the library which isn't the easiest thing to do in Red. But the scroll rack in this game definitely helped that, so I'd say there's some good promise in it being maybe a backup wincon for blood pod or Godo

I also created a Rin and Seri list, a couple of weeks ago, and although mine is also a Stax deck, it's way more focused in comboing. It has less "generally good cards in edh" and more "I want to combo" or "I don't want you to play" cards.

I think it's more cEDH focused than the one presented in this video, but maybe I'm wrong, idk. It's fun to try brewing this "Less powerful commanders" in cEDH environments, you really start to miss more useful commanders.

I have yet to find a reason to ever run azor's gateway. Every time I see it run people just lose access to the cards they exiled to get that cmc count up only to lose before it could flip.

Adam should have used mana crypt instead that way he could have held up disenchant. That way in response to scroll rack kill the impact tremors. Or used the Colosseum instead of hallowed fountain.

All cards that say "player". They were errata'd to say "Player or planeswalker". If it said "creature or player" (in the case of Sharpshooter), it was errata'd to say "any target". This happened when they phased out the Planeswalker redirect rule.

I slightly disagree about most valuable card.
Credit due for snoop- and had this just been a Matron, Iâd totally agree. But recruiter with the multiple tutors to get both pieces of the combo into Ryanâs hands is what sealed the game, in my opinion.
I'm confused why Folger didn't tutor up his other combo piece with imperial seal. After he got rid of Veto, he would have been clear and would have won instantly.

Love how the commanders were barely ever used if at all
After so many videos of them targeting Folger they actually have to put out a reason why they target him. It is a great reason and I fully support it. But this isn't the only video he has been targeted in and it's amazing the wins he gets after being constantly bombarded with everyone's hate spells and effects.
