Great video again Paul . Couple of questions where can I obtain the feathers used ? And will red nayat and red fuzzy fibre work ? Someone bought out Glasgow Anglings orange 😉
Hello Alan. Cascade feathers are hard to find. To be honest any large webby feather will be fine. Colours are just an example so a red head will create a nice contrast just as well.
Can't promise anything as filming alone is very difficult. Short leaders will help you cast them. Wiggletails are more difficult to cast than Dragontails. Stick to no bigger than the XL
Depends on the type of fastach type clip. If it's small I just tie it on a small shank. Some have the length so you can tie the tail directly to the clip.
There isn't really a like for like sub for nayat. Icelandic is finer and so is craft fur. For the purpose of creating a dubbing loop head, really you can use anything that spins well. Fuzzy on its own for example
Thanks for another fantastic video, killer flies👍🏻
Hello Paul,
thanks for the great fly, I will definitely build it, very good idea.
Another great tie Paul, Im learning something new e every time.
Great as usual. Keep up the good work
Wish u cud back bud such a good tier
Are those the regular (standard) jaws on your vice Paul? I’m really keen on that vice but read that the standard jaws only hold up to 2/0 hooks.
Standard jaws Adrian. They even hold Ahrex SA270 6/0 which is a monster hook. Great vices for tying predator flies and very good value.
@@paul_monaghan awesome! Thank you for the reply. And as always, thank you for a great video!

@@paul_monaghan thanks mate appreciate the reply
Any chance of seeing this being used and suggestion on leader material. I struggle casting flies of this size esp when incorporating dragon tails!

Awesome 👏
Hi Paul, could you fire up a wee link for that box of different colours of glow in the dark beads you use please?
👍
👍😍😍😍👍
Paul how do you tie the tail on the fastach ?

@@paul_monaghan thanks
Whick size hook?
Good day Paul. What to replace Nayat ?

Paul what is the orange hair tool called?
www.protojawn.com

)Hello, will such a class 8 rod streamer cope?)
It would be a struggle on the 6/0. Down size to a 4/0 and you might be ok
What is the Glue you use please?
Liquid Fusion, Serious Glue and Gorilla Cystal Clear. I'm now back on medium CA rather than Liquid Fusion now, as the allergy has eased to CA.
@@paul_monaghan you sound like you are from thecUS of Achromims. Could not understand a letter!
