Yep I just finished this in one night and it was very satisfying. I'm not a fan of the dialogue, it is so eye-rollingly millennial at times, but the generally positive spirit was nice. I hope the dev is working on a longer game with more secrets!
The coin at the top of the small island, at the beginning ? To avoid having the text box that tells you what a coin is when you want to perform the first chest boost.
If you are referring to the times where I jump on the chests, that is called a chest boost. It's a common speedrun technique that almost every speedrunner uses.

when this came out I looked at speedrun.com and this blows those completely out of the water glad alot of effort got put into it bc this is a nice little game
