fatec and demon slayer are both animated by the animation studio ufotable ;)
is that you feel that demon slayer is very good in its animation because it is the same studio that animated demon salyer as well as fate heavens feel, fate zero and fate unlimited blade woks which is the ufotable studio.
Hate to tell you, luke, but the show doesnt stay like this throughout its seasons: IT GETS INFINITELY BETTER.
If you think you like the show now, these are the "weak" episodes (in comparison) of demon slayer, and have the least rewatchability. They're great in themselves, but that's just to showcase what's coming next. Dont forget that season 2's first arc is best watched in the movie format of Mugen Train. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
And then you go back and resume around episode 7 for entertainment district arc. (i leave the choice of watching episode 1 of season 2 to your patreon poll vote, i personally have liked watching it both ways. but i like watching s2e1 first, mugen train movie, then resume s2 e7 just for continuity reasons vs release dates)
Since you love horror, try some day to see Hakaba Kitaro (a kind of precuel/reboot of Ge Ge Ge no Kitaro). Is full of classic japanese horror. And the opening is weird good.

There were five who passed. It wasn’t a mistake in the subtitles. But you must wait for that to be explained. 😊 Yeah, Muzan can turn people so easily. He has made so many, many demons over time. If you get a chance, go back and look closely at the facial expressions of Muzan and the woman he is with. You’ll see how sinister he looks and how shocked she is when the guy becomes a demon. The girl and woman are humans as Tanjiro said. They are innocents. But yes, you’ve met Muzan. Can’t wait for the reaction to the next episode! And yes, more torment from the flowers to come 😂

It’s a running joke that Muzan looks so much like Michael Jackson lol. To answer some questions you had without spoilers (although some can’t be answered because they hold spoilers). These arent considered spoilers bc it’s more lore explained rather than holding significance to the plot itself.
Don’t demons look old?
- No, demons are immortal so they don’t age. Some can morph but Muzan specifically can change his look
Are the older demons more powerful?
- No, but let me explain. Nezuko is a newer demon but is powerful, but this is not to say that old demons aren’t stronger than young ones. Muzan makes demons with his blood, so the strength of a demon is determined by how much blood they receive from Muzan
Why was Nezuko out of the box?
- This one is fairly simple. It was nighttime. Tanjiro always lets her out at night so she’s not in there all day.
Notes:
The fact that Tanijiro found Muzan so easily when other more advanced demon slayers have searched for centuries to no avail must have shook him to some extent (this pushes forth the next arc you’re about to see, so have fun!)

Fun fact, the reason the author introduced Muzan so early into the series was because the manga was not doing so well in the early chapters, and to avoid being cancelled rushed the main antagonist to attract readers.
Is that why the lady and kid he's with here just, never appear again? Caue according to my caught up on the manga sister, this is literally the only time they appear.

12:40 the animation is beautiful because of the ukiyo-e artstyle used when animating the demon slayer's breathing techniques, its hard to describe but its something very much associated with woodblock prints and paintings of beautiful cultural subjects and landscapes and its an artstyle that is very much the definition of japan but they used 3D to animate it while keeping the style intact so it ends up looking like live-2D and with demon slayer's own artstyle it just simply fits in without looking out of place
ukiyo-e itself means pictures of the floating world and is rather hard to animate in general, only other anime i can list off the top of my head that tried to animate ukiyo-e artstyle from its source was the nurarihyon no mago anime since the supernatural abilities in the manga were drawn with an deliberately inky ukiyo-e style yet how it was animated in the anime was a failure
27:04 japan is in the middle of westernization during this period in time, basically imagine how traditional japan would look like with japanese clothing, wooden buildings and decor but with western influence creeping in hence why you can see tanjiro passing by someone on the streets in traditional japanese garbs but with a western style hat on, some western style buildings and even someone in full western ensemble like what muzan is wearing

Not really a spoiler but looking back, Muzan was probabily more scared of tanjiro than tanjiro was scared of Muzan at this first meeting.

Idk about fear but I can definitely see him being concerned. He's been able to avoid detection by every demon slayer for years. Seeing him once in a hundred years was considered rare and yet this young boy that he would obviously know is a slayer found him out of nowhere.

I have to assume he disposed of this family and went immediately into hiding into that different realm right after he calls the hit on him. If nothing else he might of been afraid of accidentally leaving a trail for the higher ranks to follow. As strong as Muzan is, if all the Hashira tailed him He wouldn't know if he could escape or win and the small possibility of being in danger is a chance he literally never takes.

And yeah Demon slayer goes from intense and brutal to just comedy. Does Nezuko have any memory being turned, able to talk etc most of that gets explained next episode. There are several hundred demon slayers, so depends what several is to you. The head of the demon slayers is just referring to getting more demon slayers thus the family gets bigger you'll meet him later and there are in fact 5, "I don't know if you have explained in comments section yet" makes me wonder when you record these and how many you do at a time, not a problem or anything I don't really care when creators record their videos just got me curious. Anyway you'll meet the 4 others as the story goes on and it's not weird that the 5th didn't show up when you learn his personality I can tell you when you meet him. It's actually a coincidence for Tanjiro to meet Muzan in Tokyo you'll see later.

The transformation into a demon not only affects people physically, but also psychologically. For some time right after transforming they go feral and they have to relearn many things, and some of them forget their human lives completely.
Nezuko hasn't lost control of herself, but she is still developing as a demon and she still needs to remember how to talk. Her intelligence right now is that of a small kid.

First, his fiance disappears while they are together. Then, a few days later, he is found with another kidnapped woman and trophies from all the previous victims
Obviously, he'd be held as a suspect, and the nightly kidnappings would immediately stop at the same time
One of the things i really like is that deamon slayer will show the combat from a precious episode in one fuild sequence with the dialogue and exposition cut out. I love getting both but it can feel really "we just saw this cliffhanger" but knowing why its repeated helps. Glad you're enjoying the show ❤

I personally enjoy it when we get to see the Big Baddy early on, getting to see them demonstrate some of their power and letting them loom in the back of your mind for a while.
Demon Slayer is the same studio as the fate franchise, also remember Tanjiro is basically a country bumpkin from the mountains, he's never been to a major city or seen some of the technology that was spreading through major cities at the time but hadn't yet made it out to more rural remote areas.

Tanjiro was so lucky in that first encounter that Muzan decided to remain calm and just drove him away using ordinary demons. Considering how crazy powerful Muzan is shown in the last arc. Even in his injured state he massacred almost all demon slayers available including the Pillars that attack him at the same time.
