    This brings back so many warm memories... Damn I miss my boy.
    My and my old pal and I, the two of us basically grew up together... I still remember how inseparable we were.
    I've never seen or experienced a more loyal, protective and dedicated living being/friend like I did in In those 16 years.
    Thanks for this vid mate.

      @Noel Halwick I had a very loyal and lovable pitbull for 15 years. She was the most loyal and sweetest dog ever. A true friend. I was destroyed when she died from old age. We never got her cropped or clipped, that tail was the bane of everything on the coffee table. I've never seen a dog with such a powerful tail. We just learned not to put anything within tail kicking distance.

      У меня девочка, Дочура! Тоже палевый окрас! Медвежонок мой, потерял 5 лет назад! Больно! Готовлюсь и готовлю царский дом новому члену семьи! Как мы все в семье её любили! До сих пор память и боль не утихает! Вот так же сидела в машине и дразнила мотоциклистов, гавкнет и прячется, сама смеётся. А тот чуть не упал! Где собака? Мы с дочей по тайге ходили, она прижавшись к спине и охраняла, и грела! Это не передать!!! 🥰🥰🥰

    He’s such a beautiful boy. It looks like you did a great job training him and looking after him well. I want to get one in New Zealand. Are they safe dogs to walk in public? How many hours of training and exercise per day do they need?

    • @lifewithdogs8447
      @lifewithdogs8447  Před 4 lety +7

      Thank you very much. 😊🐶They are very intelligent dogs and they will learn the basic commands very quickly and mostly on their own. You don't need to train him that way every day, it's natural. They are great guardians and when they are learning from a puppy he has no problem with other animals and people in public. They are uncompromising in their territory.

      @Nina-pj8wo They're definitely not dogs for inexperienced owners. If you get a set of spicy genetics, you'll be in a tough spot.
      Get one from a line that's known for being reasonably social, find a good balanced trainer to guide you, and you'll be good to go.

    I'm adopting one of these (though I suspect he is a mixed breed) and well the internet has made me question my decision. Mainly in the aspects of its protective nature. I went from being confident in my ability to train a dog to worried this dog would hurt someone. I haven't even got him yet.
    Have you got any tips to help keep the more protective nature at bay? How did you socialise your puppy so that it didnt see every dog and stranger as a threat. Is there anything you should do to make them accept strangers into the home without the fear of it hurting them? Any general tips for the breed?
    Basically is the internet telling the full truth about the personality of this breed or are they overexaggerating a tad about how hard it is to train these dogs?

    • @lifewithdogs8447
      @lifewithdogs8447  Před 2 lety +1

      @Cheesy Breadsticks Of course, these dogs are usually tough and protective of their territory and their family. We socialized him by introducing him to other dogs and people from the time he was a puppy, we took him regularly to the city, we drove him in the car from the beginning. Alternatively, you can try the training ground. But if he does not respect you as his owner but takes you as an equal, then it will be a problem. They are large dogs and are aware of their size and strength. They must have respect for you as their master, if they don't feel it, they can sometimes do what they want. Sometimes they are solitary dogs and they want peace, when they want attention they will come alone. It takes training (at least basic commands, it will never be a trained monkey) and patience. No punishments and fights, it can backfire on you. and lot of love :)

    It is not a Caucasian sheperd !!! It is Georgian Nagazi!!!
    Why it is called Caucasian? Because a soviet jew Mazover came to Georgia after sovietisation and stole about 300 dogs from Georgia!!! Then called this breed - caucasian!!!
    Yes - there are some other types of caucasian dogs - in armenia and Azerbaijan - but even that Mazover noticed - Georgian are the best!!!
