This song is a true gem. Codey Jinks writes and sings as if he were an old soul and reminds me a little of George Jones. A few of the lines from this song, Somewhere in the Middle really hit me such as “And I saw it all tending bar at night Treatin' saints and sinners right, It's a good thing to do all the time” This was a great song to react to and @CodyJinks has a new fan that’s for sure. The man is a lyrical genius.... I do a lot of driving for a living, and can listen to Cody for hours on end. His music is so real and relatable to just about anyone.
As a Texan, this dude is true outlaw country. Love his music. Good to see him on a reaction channel. He needs to get exposure so the world can know what us Texans already do.
he’s already pretty famous lol he’s not underground
I heard someone say the only real country music comes from two places and it was the truth: 1. Texas 2. Appalachia. Red dirt country is very relatable to me and all of my friends here in NC.
No words is a great song by Cody. He has so many great songs.
I love this guy's music. David is one of my favorites, oh and lound and Heavy. Oh and Must be the whiskey lol. Great reaction y'all.
You need to go see him, his concerts are great. His band is the best around, you won't be disappointed.
He’s incredible! Loved your guys reaction as well. Thanks!
Favorite artist. Saw him a few years back and he killed it as always.
He was my Spotify #1 this past year lol. Badass dude. Watch the live from red rocks stuff.
His acoustic video of this from years back is amazing. Artist showcase type of deal. Awesome video, Great talent!
Cody Jinks amazing artist. So many good songs. Absolutely awesome in concert
The Red Rocks live video of Cody’s Must Be the Whiskey is one really worth checking out.
I know Steph put that on my list, I will ask her for the live version. Thanks Cullthorn
Cody Jinks is probably my favorite male country singer/songwriter. ‘I Cast No Stones’ and ‘Vampires’ are my favorites. By the way, he was a metal vocalist in his younger days.
Cody is bad to the bone.....my favorite is one of his old ones called Lost Highway 👍👍👍👍👍
Is that a remake of Hank Sr's song?
@@flickeringboxofficial don't think so.....but I could be wrong
Enjoying your channel, keep it up! My suggestions would be Turnpike Troubadours "Pay No Rent" or "Good Lord Lorrie" or "Down Here" although all their songs are amazing. Shane Smith & the Sinners "All I see is you" is great also.
Thank you Tim, glad you are enjoying it. We are really enjoying making the vids. Adding Turnpike Troubadours to the list
Yes! i agree with Tim P. Talk about storytelling, songwriting and the fiddle.
Heavy Load is my favorite Cody Jinks song.
It got me through a very difficult time.
But this song is great too. First time hearing it.
I didn't move in to country until later in life and I'm 46 now. I was always a rock and metal guy.
Now I'm all over the map. I still love my 90s alternative rock.
Since you like rock and her country y'all have to check out Cody's new one. It's an Alison and chains cover. Don't fallow by Casper mcwade and cody jinks. My favorite song right now.
I will for sure add it to the list. One of my favorite AIC songs. I had to make a photo/video montage for a close friends celebration of life a couple years ago and that was Al's favorite song. Thanks for the heads up on that jsbuilding! Awesome...
I love the fact that she's a Flocker!!..Jinks is the man!
Cody Jinks played thrash metal in his younger days. In a similar vein, Whitey Morgan was in Flint/Detroit punk bands in his younger days. You should definitely check Whitey out. Fantastic, gritty blue collar country.
I dont think he has ever missed on a song ...... I love everything he does.
His shows are amazing. I have seen him like 7 times and its never a bad show.
Luckily I got to see Whitey Morgan open for him at Luckenbach, Tx before he got big
Yall should check out Ward Davis as well (He co wrote Im not the Devil with Cody.)
I danced with my mom to dear mama by Cody at my wedding. Seeing him live is great! Y’all need to hear some turnpike troubadours, steel woods, Cole Chaney, Drayton Farley, Logan halstead, Chris knight, John Moreland. Such a great, deep genre!!
Never alone always Lonely is probably my favorite Cody Jinks song, it had been this one for a long time prior
Hey Steph, if he hasn't heard him, turn him on to some Chris Stapleton Tennessee Whiskey but do the live version from Austin City Limits. It's better than the studio version. Love watching you guys!
Hi Mark, we have talked about Chris. Burch knows the name for sure but has not listened to his music at all. I have Tennessee Whiskey on the list for sure.
I was wondering if you guys ever herd a band called whiskey Meyers they are a amazing band a couple of songs I like are broken window Serenade, and A Ballad of a southern Man
He’s awesome live. Saw him in a super small venue last year and he was fantastic!!
Cast no stones by Cody jinks, lyric
Top of my Spotify for a couple years now. And he covers an Alan Jackson song.
One of Cody's best! My latest tattoo came from some lyrics to this song "going out with nothing, like I came in".... "Mamma Song" makes me and my mama tear up. Try that one sometime.
Loud thunder heavy rain is another good one. Co wrote with his young son. It's actually a pretty good story he tells about it of you can find it.
You all should check out Ward Davis....Ward and Cody write ALOT of songs together
That's real country music I lov I Cast no stones
Benjamin Todd “We ain’t even kin” gems on vhs version
Added to the list Keith, thank you
I have always said he sounds like Alan. Glad I'm not the only one!
I'd love to see y'all reaction to his song "David"
Check out Cody jinks "loud n heavy" live @ Red Rocks!
queue up "Folks". One of Cody's best.
You HAVE to hear "Cast no Stones" by Cody Jinks!! You'll love it!
Come one make some comments in 90s grunge Era and 80s wave. Mam n sir.. 😊👍🎵🤘😎
I thought the same thing that he reminds me of Alan Jackson.
Love your reactions, new sub and found like 4 new to me artists from your channel, keep it up
Shane Smith, Chris Stapleton oh so many.
Love Cody, I'm not the devil.
Blackberry Smoke- One Horse Town acoustic is another one you would like
I do know who they are Ryan but I have not listened to them. I will add this to the list for me and Burch. A few of my friends have said that I would loooove them. Great suggestion, thank you!
@@flickeringboxofficial I second Blackberry Smoke. I have seen them live three times.
Love the channel lifelong Texan here south of Dallas about 8 years ago I was having dinner at the Rockett Cafe in Rockett, Texas they have a restaurant and bar/dancehall tiny place it was a wed and not many people there as I go to leave I hear this voice and had to check it out it was Cody Jinks playing to a room of 5 people! Love his music, message , and everything he stands for.
Interesting fact he was in a heavy metal band before switching over to country/folk/red dirt genres keep it up guys love the channel
Btw in my opinion y’all have to listen to headcase by Cody truly believe it might be the greatest song he has or will write , pours his souls out and the instrumentation is amazing.
I love his music.. I'm not the devil and cast no stone and the stranger
The song "David" from the album Adobe Sessions is great, and the video of "Mama's Song" from Red Rocks is a good one
Check out his song No Words
Y’all’ve started a deep dive in the ArkOkLaTex music scene: it’s a swim to hear, but when west Texas swing meets that zydeco influence and the mountain music of Arkansas and Red Dirt of Oklahoma coagulate, this is the result! Keep the reactions coming.
Man, I love your vocabulary. Not to mention, you've pretty much explained to me the country scene in that area (I'm a GA boy myself)
Reminds me of Jamey Johnson
Yes he does, good call Hobert.
He covers an Alan Jackson song. I heard it live in concert. Chasin that neon rainbow.
You should do Dearly Departed by Shakes Graves and Esme Patterson. Great song.
You should check out Frank Foster Cody Cooke and the Bayou Outlaws
Since you like Cody Jinks, try Whiskey Myers
Please react to; Jeff Healy. "See the light" (Night music). If you're not familiar with him, he will blow your mind! 🤯
Thank you Robert we will add it to the list!
@Flickering Box Awesome! I can't wait to see you're reaction. 😃👍
Cody Jinks - Head Case
Cody Jinks - Desert Wind
Nice job y'all, Cody Jinks-Birds" Adobe Sessions unplugged and I'm Not The Devil-Skyline Sessions are very good also
Cody's I'm not the devil is great
You make an Alan Jackson comparison and I guess I can see that but I can't unsee Jamie Johnson. Pour some Jamie in your ear-hole and I promise you will like what you hear.
Y'all should definitely check out trampled by turtles wait so long
Can I suggest Margo Price - Lydia. 😀
You sure can Teeman, added to Burch's list.
@@flickeringboxofficial thanks. Worth checking out the live at downtown church version as sounds even better than the recorded version. 😀
How about Stoney LaRue
jamey johnson jr
I think you'd both like Me Or You, or David better from Cody. If you're not familiar with them you should give it a spin. Even if it's not a reaction video
Just subbed, love the channel. Check out Vampires by Cody Jinks.
On the list Jason! Thank you
Check out Mama's Song.
DOC HOLLIDAY
Please Jeff healey see the light reaction
If you don't hear Jinks on the radio you need to find a new radio station. IMO. Lol!
You definitely won't hear him on top 40 country though.
this version is slowed down. and weird
Stop stopping it pops
