Welcome to the family. I heard an interview with him a few years back and he was saying that the inspiration for this song came when he and his son who was really little at the time weâre in the car driving to go play with some tractors and they got caught in a crazy downpour. His little boy started chanting âloud and heavyâ from the backseat, and the song was born. Fun fact: he gave his son songwriting credits. For your next go around, I highly suggest Must Be the Whiskey.
Must be the Whisky is so good!
I love that story... thanks for sharing it!
David is another great song with a great story to it. 7th floor is great sounding song. That Adobe Session album is straight fire every song.
He also set up an account and his son gets a percentage from all profits from this song.
Birds, Fast Hand, No Words, Hippies and Cowboys, Somewhere in the Middle, Love letters and Cigarettes, DavidâŠâŠso many good songs from Jinks. Been listening to him going on 9 years.
These reaction videos prove the divide is not what the media would have you believe. Cheers.
"Must be the Whiskey", "Somewhere in the Middle", "Hippies and Cowboys" and "Headcase" are all must listen to by Cody Jinks.
Headcase is criminally underrated
David is a great one, no not because my name, lol
I cast no stone by cody jinks is one of his best in my opinion
Which one I feed is my favorite Cody Jinks song.........by FAR!
First saw Cody,maybe300 people for Whitey Morgan and Cody jinks. The last time I saw Cody 10000 people at Red Rocks. The man is the real deal.
And now heâs playing in front of 50k in NFL stadiums with Luke Combs.
Definitely check out his song âDavidâ thatâs another good one!
Cody gives us Fort Worth folks something else to be proud of...
Heard this man singing in a empty bar 10 years ago and was captivated, two years ago went to his sold out show in front of hundreds of people singing every word! Personally his favorite song of mine is Head case
Sounds like my experience. First time I saw Cody Jinks was in a crap hole bar, Cody was touring out of the van still. 5 bucks to get in the bar. Cody and Josh were sitting at the bar.
Now here we areâŠitâs been a wild ride to watch.
Cody, love him, Must be the Whiskey.
Also Whiskey Myers Through a Broken Window. Fire.
Cody is a true artist.
He's relatively new school but he's been playing metal and country for a while. And he's the type of outlaw who won't conform to the homogeneity of industry suits
AB you should do "Cast No Stones" next Cody Jinks song. It's a slower song but very good
Cody Jinks - Must be the whiskey!!
Really canât go wrong with any of his songs. No Guarantees and Iâm not the devil are great tunes also.
He is finally getting the notice after some time. He is anti Nashville and has done most of his stuff independently. There is several good suggestions here already. I would like another up and coming band The Steelwoods. Blind lover, better in the fall, let the rain come down are a few enjoyable songs.
Started hearing him a year ago, thought it was a phase, now I am pretty sure I am a fan for life...... yet to find a bad Cody Jinks song
Cody Jinks- Cowboys and Hippies
First time hearing Cody Jinks. Wow!
When you can appreciate great music in any genre,.. I then know instantly that you are my favorite type of human!!!!!đŻđđŻ
Totally agree!
I love this song!
For me it's a metaphor for life..
Shit is gonna happen..
Don't be afraid...
Don't worry..
Just move forward...
Something I wish I knew a decade ago
Oh! Me too.. good advice..
Never heard of him, never heard the song, Thanks for the introduction and your reaction, can't wait to hear more đ hope you have a blessed evening đ
My favorite by him is "Ain't a Train"....i also second the "State of Mine" request...
This is so awesome! Cast no Stones is so good!!
PLEASE DO HIS SONG FASTHAND.. I think you will love it.
So proud of this Ft. Worth Texas Boy!! Cody Jinks donât have a bad song IMO, but some popular ones for your rabbit hole journey is Iâm Not The Devil, No Words, We Get By, Ready For The Times To Get Better, Never Alone Always Lonely, Which One I Feed and Hippies & Cowboys.
Cody is considered a newer artist to success but he has been paying his dues a long time! â€ïžâđ„
Absolutely love this song!! Got one for ya... Falling in Reverse - Popular Monster
Heâs already done it, but more of us are slowly getting him into the harder stuff! Recently reacted to Tool now we just need more! AB for real, you need Pantera âCemetary Gatesâ and Dio âHoly Diverâ
On another note, thereâs a lot of great genuine back to roots country coming out of our southern states, getting away from the pop country which has its own appeal. But those of us raised on country legends sure are glad to have it coming back. đ
A close friend of mine committed suicide last month. We used to share music and I was never a big fan of country outside of a few songs. This was the last song he showed me. I loved it when he showed me, but now it's always going to have a deeper meaning to me.
đđŸđđŸđđŸđ
I saw him liveâŠ. Fantastic show!
I actually think YOU'RE fire đ„ So glad I came across your show here, man
Love love Cody Jinks. Thanks so much for reacting to him. Real country is still alive!!!!
YES!! So happy you reacted to him!!
A new artist for me. Love his voice. Thanks, AB!
For someone who never listen to country you can sing it. Your awesome AB
You should also check out a guy named Colter Wall. His voice is epic! He has similar music to Cody. Colter also does a song with Tyler Childers called Fraulein. Check it out!
Yes!! Was hoping you would discover Codys music. Welcome to the rabbit hole. You will not be disappointed. He doesn't have a bad song. Saw him in concert. You definitely need to do a live.
Thanks for a great reaction! He has such a strong clean voice. I love listening to him
First time for me too. Agree this was fire. I've got a new artist to listen to thanks to you.
I just found your channel and your reactions are amazing. I love seeing reactions to "new" music. Keep doing what you are doing.
Local boy for me. He's awesome and genuine.
Thanks for reacting this pretty dope song. That's my favorite one.
How does this video only have 1.9k views? Crazy
Everytime i've looked up recently you just keep reacting to my country playlist hahahha keep em coming!
He's new old school!!!!!!!!
We saw him live in Corpus Christi in May. He is absolutely amazing and has so many good songs. Great reaction â€
This song is a banger!!
Love your channel and diversity: I like all spectrums. Someone could sample or Rap this to another beat and. One and itâs fire
Mama song is one of his best songs
Hell Yeah!!! Been waiting on this love it
Check out Warren zeiders two songs. Ride the lightning is the name of one and the second is called heavy pour. I'm sure you'll love them
âDavidâ by Cody. Only if you wanna feel something
Cody is awesome, check out Frank Foster, Dillon Carmichael, Creed Fischer and Whitey Morgan
Creed Fisher - Old School is one you might like as well
@ABtheKreator PLEASE MAN you must dive into BlackBerry Smoke - One Horse Town, Ain't Much Left of Me, Shakin' Hands With the Holy Ghost. They are said to be too country for rock, and too rock for country, that's why they don't get much airplay. But their fans are far, wide, and strong
You should give Creed Fisher a listen.
Must be the whiskey is a heater
Flamin'
CAST NO STONES: CODY JINKS
Hell ya brotha. If you like the guitar solos you need to check out SoulShine by the Allman Brothers Live the way Derrick Truck plays the slide and Warren Haynes runs that fret board itâs mesmerizing. Thanks for always keeping me entertained brotha keep doin what you are doin. From a northern Missouri boy
Here is a fun little experiment you can do... Listen to Soulshine, Yellow Ledbetter - Pearl Jam, and Why We Cry - Kenny Wayne Sheppard all at the same time
Hey Ab, would you like to listen to some really good country-blues music. Well in case you do I'd like to introduce you to the "Markus King Band - Goodbye Carolina" he's really coming along in the industry, and he's got quite a collection started.
Iâm Not The Devil is another Cody Jinks song
AND WE SHOULD GET A CUT ON THE ROYALLTIES
Mamma Song by Cody Jinks! Check it out â€â€â€
Need another country LEGEND.... Randy Travis ~ Three Wooden Crosses
You want to introduce him to Randy Travis with that song... Do you want him to hate Randy Travis? Because if that was the first song of his I heard I would hate him/ 1982, I Told You So, On the Other Hand, Forever Amen, He walked on Water... those songs exist. 3 Wooden crosses should not exist. Just a garbage gimmick poorly written trash song but that seems to be the trend that people recommend to these reactors. Dumbass Tim Mcgraw or Blake Shelton songs, bubble gum Alan Jackson trash cuts, and literally anything from Toby Keith.. the cringiest stupidest token stereotype dumbsh*t joke songs that make the whole genre look like inbred idiots. Sorry about the rant...
@@BrettShadow Well ok then, glad you got that off your chest..
@@GrapeApe2018 I was working nights. Was tired and had sand in my panties.... don't get me wrong that song is terrible... but perhaps.... maybe... it didn't need a full length hit piece. I'll take responsibility for now but I am certain I can find something to blame it on later.... maybe ambian?
Respect Brother...JINKS is the man!
PLEASE DO MORGAN WALLEN WASTED ON YOU PLZ
Can you. Play Ricky van Shelton. I'll leave. This world lovin' you
I wonder if you'd be interested in listening to another song with three country music legends singing together "Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt, and Emmylou Harris - The Sweetest Gift" this is one of the best trio's you'll ever hear...this is simply angelic
OOOO New video!! I'm here for it. I've been binge-watching. I would love to hear you react to some powerful gospel or Christian music like Katy Nichole - "In Jesus Name (God of Possible)" or "Graves Into Gardens ft. Brandon Lake"
When Batdance from Prince?
My 17 yr old daughter has been listening to Cody for a few years. This dude is talented!
Try some creed Fisher
Please react to:
Meatloaf - For Crying Out Loud (Greatest Love Song Ever)
Mary Chapin Carpenter - I Feel Lucky (Just fun)
Reading those two song choices back to back let me know what it must be like when my dog throws up and then eats that throw up and throws it up again.
Demun Jones ( feeling good)
Check out @STATEOFMINE cover of this song Loud & Heavy!!! You'll love it just as much. Cody slays it though, love both. Thanks for this reaction @ABtheKreator... I'll even send cashapp donation for you to react to some music for the group STATE OF MINE
I call mama Tim McGraw
hey my channel i need talk this, first u have soul and in the zone great channel, tnks from brazil, im a headbanger but always music, great line man ur welcome
Been binging your videos since i found your channel a few days ago. I have a couple songs/ artists to add to your ever growing list to get to. You should check out Ray Lamontagne - narrow escape, old crow medicine show - wagon wheel, Alison Krauss - Ghost in this house, let me touch you for a while, when you say nothing at all .. I don't think they all fall under country though... some are more folk.
Sounds like that thin line of lightning is coke
Iâve been trying to get reaction channels hip to him and whiskey Meyer but not about to pay for it. I listen to most genres. In my opinion this isnât my favorite there is better story telling from him and many others. Open ur mind if u like music and hear lyrics itâs easy nowadays
You were talking about a band with guys and girl listen to no doubt the song don't speak, she is now married Blake Shelton
