Not sure what the episode would have been about for people have a couple of theories what would yours be?

Indeed. I never understood that. Hades left the Underworld because he hated how dark and gloomy it was and the second he conquers Athens, he makes it just like the Underworld. It's just stupid. I think his position as God of the Dead actually changes the world around him whether he likes it or not. Either that or he's just full of shit and wants everyone to be as dark and gloomy as he is.
Maybe he wants to turn the world into how the Underworld looks like just as revenge. So everyone in the world shall live exactly how he lives in a dark and gloomy place.
