The dead/boomer/normie/old meme: when people say normie, they mean everyone as a whole. This is not an insult to everyone, and the thing is memes are a lot like inside jokes, and once everyone starts using them, they get pretty cringe. Examples are “ok boomer” ‘Ugandan knuckles’ ‘simp’ “Netflix and chill”...etc. 2. Timeless meme: these are really meme formats, but these memes have stayed relevant for a while and will stay relevant for a while, either because they’re good or how much they apply to things. These are the reliable, what you pick when you wanna make something with little effort, and what a lot of people turn to when they want to explain what a meme is. They also have some of my personal favorites.Examples are the drake meme, the Spider-Man pointing meme, anything with Pepe and mike wazowski, the growing brain meme, the to be continued meme from Jojo. Newer ones include the black coffin meme (although we’ll see what becomes of it). 3. The reaction/comedy/relatable meme: these ones are really just funny videos, and a great way to think about this is, think about any to be continued video, but just take off the to be continued. This is what a lot of these memes are, and they can range from dogshit to hilarious. 100% the most versatile and they can hit different when you relate a lot to them.
