Maybe use your tea container to store cough drops, mints, or keep the lid off and store long paintbrushes or fake flowers?
hmmm all good suggestion!
I feel like I've become so much more aware about how unrealistic unhelpful or just pointless the make up use and consumption shown by a lot of beauty YT is. Almost nothing is ever used at all not just not emptied 😅. I've never properly noticed in the past how you constantly see people showing you favourite or holy grail items that are barely used although they owned them for years... And supposedly use them all the time 🙄now that I have been panning for a while and watching lots of panning I can see that it's often plain bs and products are simply not used. but the same person is telling you what you need and what is worth it and pretend to know the product well. I'm actively looking for pans and repurchases
For your art journal, you could paint/collage over the stuff you don't like. You don't feel like that now, so make those pages into something beautiful and uplifting, that is the opposite of what you wrote. That way, although you will be aware that there was horrible stuff underneath, the beautiful stuff over it will be a reminder of how far you have come and that the bad times don't last. Use some of the stickers etc you were saying you want to use up 😊
a number of folks have suggested this or something similar! I've been noodling over these suggestions so i appreciate it!
It’s not exactly “using it up,” but I lost one of my two daily reusable water bottles at the library last week, and instead of replacing it, I’m going to use the couple of reusable bottles in the back of the pantry instead. Those guys have their limitations-there’s a reason they weren’t in rotation-but I want to try my darnedest to make them work before I replace that water bottle!
I love this!!
Those pages in your art notebook that you don’t want to see. Glue them together or collage over them.
good suggestion, thanks!
I love this idea! 👏🏻 I’m currently working my way through all my body sprays, lotions etc. and it’s definitely taught me to appreciate what I already have ❤
Same here 🙂
I found your channel a few weeks back and honestly I’ve been so inspired to use up things I have and not buy more.
Could you use the tea box to store more tea? The teas I get are usually in boring brown bags so I put them in the fancy tea tins I have collected over the years. Funnily enough I am currently using up teas.😂
there's a lot of us working through tea right now 😅 More tea is a good idea
Like this type of series! I need to focus on some specific items as well.
I’m doing a no-spend spring! After a big spring cleaning purge, my goal is to thin everything out and only have/use my necessities and absolute faves.
wishing you luck on your no spend spring 💕
I'm working on using (up) teas, wax melts and parfums 😊it is much nicer using your things. Otherwise if we just collect and accumulate it has no purpose. I've become more aware and drawn to wanting to use or enjoy the many things I own.
I totally agree! I hope you enjoy using stuff ☺
Same! My loose leaf tea collection is scary!
Ooooh you’re so close to finishing blankety! I’ve finished two mac lady danger lipsticks and I’m 2/3 of the way through a third 😂 but I think that’s the only lipstick I’ve ever panned. It’s been my signature red since 2013. I loooove using things up! So satisfying.
GIRL, I've been that close for ages, I don't think she's moving 😂
I am panning my loose leaf tea collection and haven't bought sticky notes/notepads in years due to me having so many I am SLOWLY going through those! Like I look at my desk and say you don't need anything for a long time! I am doing the same with candles and with any random skincare things because it all takes up space and energy to store. Use the rose bud salve on your nails and hands if you hate it by your lips.
I had to do the same thing with sticky notes and other stationery items. I bought a 12 pack of mechanical pencils about 5 years ago and I've only taken 3 out of the packaging and I haven't used any of them up 😂 So, I feel you
I also dislike the Rosebud Salve and used mine up solely to remove lipstick. I smeared it over my lips while I had all my lipstick on and gently wiped it off. It meant I could remove lipstick before I was ready to wash my face without vigorously scrubbing or I just used a little less cleansing oil
I am a makeup and perfume lover. I have tons of perfume samples. I've been intentional (somewhat tbh) in using my perfume samples as they evaporate if you dont use!
I love these videos I find them positively reinforcing ! I must work on my own collection and I love being nosy and hearing about others. Thanks so much for sharing with us ! ❤
non-makeup project pans r a thing! alot of ppl call it project use it up :)
I love that you mention the term call number! I'm a retired librarian after 28 years. I am also trying to use up things. In 2020 and 2021, like a lot of people I started to stockpile.
🥹 you are my people and what a dream job! Wishing you luck as you finish up your stuff
I have been working on using up my stickers too (I know which ones you’re talking about with the stiff backing- SO hard to get off😂). I have been sticking them down randomly in my journal as a way of prepping. So I just dodge around the stickers when I’m writing. Also- just cut your sticker up if there’s some part you don’t like- those dead leaves don’t have to be there. I use a beautiful saffron tin Ive had for 20 years like a piggy bank. I stuff cash in there when I’m saving for a trip.
THIS IS LITERALLY ME OMG. I will prepare a week at a time or what I think will be a week. I'll randomly just put stickers in there and hope for the best 😂 I could not individually pull those apart each day.
Use the rosebud salve as a pre-makeup lip balm or to wear around the house
this is exactly how I've been using it!
@@shawnariparicool 😊
I been working on my perfumes too! I finished a little one recently and Im close on another one 😘😘😘 good luck with yours!
as a sticker maker myself I love that you are using your stickers and supplies 🥰
congrats on the perfume empty!! Those are accomplishments no matter how small
I totally FEEL YOU on the lip balm conundrum 😂
Maybe u could use the lipbalms u dont like on your cuticles instead.
Rip the page out😊 or cover it with scrappaper, or acrylic paint drawing
You could glue the pages together so you dont have to see the negative thoughts …
I'll edit this later, after I watch the whole video, I'm sure.... but I wanted to remember to ask what a clothing swap is? I googled it for my town but I didn't find it. How would I start something like this?
Great question! Clothing swaps are basically like a big 'shop your closet.' They can be organized by a group of friends or a business/organization. When it's friends people typically bring their clothes, lay them out and then you 'shop' all the clothes and then donate all the clothes that weren't scooped up. When it's organized by a more formal entity usually they'll give you a ticket for each item you bring. So, you bring 5 items you get 5 tickets that you can use on 5 items in the swap. Bigger cities may have them, and when they do exist they're usually run by non-profits or groups that are more sustainability-minded. You may have to do a bit of digging!
@@shawnaripari thank you for the help with this! I'm struggling to figure out how to finish my makeup without buying more. I absolutely don't need more! Thank you for the inspiration to finish what I have 🥳
I absolutely feel you on this!
