    Just ordered the EVO2 black. The Tesl is very nice, but those color tend to date themselves within a short time - black is timeless in my view.
    This will be my 4th Cannondale.

    $5500 for sure, in black!

    Thank you! I have already decided to get the Evo 2. I think it is the best aero climbing bike for the price.

    Best value is Supersix EVO 4 (2024 Black or Orange frame) for 3000 euros. Frame weight for tier3 Supersix EVO is only 975gramms, comparable to other manufacturers tier1 frame. Swap the wheels with a pair of light carbon ones and good to ride. (600-900 euros). Even better removing the mechanical 12 speed 105, selling it for 4-500 euros, and installing 105di2 or Ultegra di2 (+1100 or +1400 euros). So around 4500 or 5000 euros u have a 7.5-7.7kg Di2 Supersix Evo with carbon wheels.

    The difference in hubs is substantial. Ratchet system is smoothier when changing pace.

    I am getting the Evo 2. It’s the right bike at the right price.

    Thx for the video! Do you actually have any information on the weight of both bikes?

      Sorry, I don't have actual weights for specific sizes.

    How would you compare these models with the new SL8 expert, why specialized is more expensive with less spec in terms of gear?

    • @CyclingInsider
      @CyclingInsider  Před 4 měsíci

      Specialized SL8 is more expensive because you pay for the brand name. I would go with Cannondale Supersix Evo

    I'm sure you'll make it anyway but I'm curious to hear how you feel about the new Evo 3 that was put on the website. Personally for $1000 usd saved I think you're losing a lot.

    • @CyclingInsider
      @CyclingInsider  Před rokem +1

      Well, well I am really impressed with Cannondale. I would go for this Evo 3 bike if I am a bit short with cash. It's an excellent choice for what it offers.

    We really also need the comparison between himod 1 and 2! I am confused what upgrade worth $5200!?

    I think availability is something to consider. As they are like hens teeth. I prefer the SRAM force AXS however I think the 50mm wheelset is to big. I’d swap them out for 30/35mm deep rims as I live in a hilly windy area. It’s a shame Cannondale don’t let you customise wheelsets

    • @CyclingInsider

      Indeed

    • @JacobSkriver
      @JacobSkriver Před 10 měsíci +1

      I went for the EVO 2 over the EVO 1 as I prefer Shimano over SRAM - the price difference was less than 150€, not a 1000$

    • @djLeBart
      @djLeBart Před 10 měsíci +1

      @@JacobSkriver correct - but the wheelset on the shimano version is far cheaper than the wheelset on the sram version

  • @arielmiguelcontrerasolguin9975

    Whicht bike would you choose between Evo 1, Evo 2 or Canyon CF SLX8?

  • @oscarantoniolopezdelatorre2906

    Does anybody noticed that the colors are not the dame anymore? Lil changes

      For the better, in my opinion. The gold logo instead of the canary yellow logo plays better on the teal of the Evo 2.

  • @mcfeel5855
    @mcfeel5855 Před rokem +1

    Another factor -- seems like the cheaper EVO 2 is only available in almost a year, Dec 2023, vs the EVO 1 available in ~5 weeks.

    • @CyclingInsider
      @CyclingInsider  Před rokem

      That's true. I think that Cannondale will make Evo 2 available sooner. Demand for that bike is going to be huge.

  • @mlara03celtics

    Evo 2 for sure in the Deep Teal! best colorway of the bunch.

  • @PaulAddie-sv4fl

    Strange that the EVO 2 cost 5500 dollar and on the European side 6800 euro. All the other models are almost equal in dollars or euro's

    • @CyclingInsider

      That's strange indeed

      @@CyclingInsider what explains the difference in price between the 1 and 2 (USA site). It's Force/Ultegra and slightly different wheels. I think they made a error with the pricing. It should be 6500 dollar. 🙂

  • @RyanGreenridge
    @RyanGreenridge Před rokem +1

    I think evo2 will reprice when it is available. Look at the cervelo soloist, ultagra and force version priced the same. Otherwise no one will buy the evo1.
