Exactly. Beyond the talent to understand how to expand a pond. His skills using the excavator was some real talent. The excavator was basically an extension of him. Enjoyed hearing his rational and explanations as he was maneuvering the machine to build out the pond.
This homeowner is awesome. Big shooting range, extra deep fishin' holes, 250 dumping dirt in the little Kubota...why not, eh? This guy seems like a lot of fun.
Pond looks awesome and way bigger now. All that graded in , seeded in will make the pond look nice again.another Happy owner there chris😀.nice job man.
I have about half of the digging done on my pond. Recent rains filled the pond early. My dam holds fine. I built the dam mostly based on what I learned watching these videos... And with the idea that I wanted it to be easy to mow and keep trees from growing on the dam.
That’s a great process you have to do that Chris! Great digging soil without rocks, wish we had less rocks here in the mountains, but that also creates a whole another set of challenges at times.
Chris. Thank You very much for the videos. I enjoy watching you work any of your job sights. Chris you and your equipment work so smoothly, plus the way you see the project needs set before you. Please Take Care of your self Plus Be Very Care Full around all Equipment.
An acre pond full of fish & my own range would pretty much be nirvana for me. Add some deer in the woods, pheasants in the rough, ducks on the pond & a few rabbits & pigeons for off season & I'd never leave the place.
Absolutely. I got just about 190 acres but we're on top of a ridge in the Appalachians in PA, and as such, the water table is about 100' below grade. The middle of the property is the high ground, and it slopes down in every direction. So no pond. But I get to see bears, deer, turkeys, and the like but I haven't seen a ringneck in over a decade, unfortunately. Too many coyotes. Even the red fox population has dwindled. Sucks.
I very been on equipment most of my life but I all ways look forward to learn something new from a operater with your quality . Your really good .I enjoy watching ur videos good job Tim Anderson
You operate that machine like it’s nothing Chris, awesome job brother! 👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻 You are definitely “The Man”! 👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I would be scared of getting the machine bogged in there and you just dive off in it with ease! That’s why I watch you Chris, you’re an awesome operator! The best I’ve seen really ever! So educational too my friend! I hope Winston is doing well and I finally got the money and ordered two shirts and just waiting for closer to winter to see if you get some big size hoodies! Thanks for sharing my friend! 👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻🤜🏻🤛🏻
Hello Chris, the building plan and the make is your specialty. Have this Pont a water course or it's groundwater? And is the ground to the Pont loam the water stopped. The pierce to the old to the new part is perfect. Only your Volvo will have a bath. A beautiful weekend and love greetings from Vienna.
I enjoy all your videos. What was really great is to see aerial views from the drone. Really cool. Can we get some time laps as well to see the progress. Thank you ...
Awesome job. The coffer dams worked well. Will you do a part 3, re smoothing the new banks & creating the shooting range? Cheers & take care from Australia 🤓👍🏼🐨🦘
Another fine job done but LETS DIG 18, it turned out awesome Chris. So I just wanted to say thank you Man for taking us along every day on your journey to work so anyway brother you and John and your family stay safe brother and keep the videos coming
Did you originally dig this pond? It looks great and I like the size! Another awesome video Pond Doctor! Thanks for sharing Chris! Stay safe my friend! 👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Amazing. A HEOp who considers future appearance and functionality under different circumstances and conditions, with customers requests in mind. Amazing. (A fun watch, thanks for posting!)
hey mr. chris! i love the sound of those excavator tracks rhythmically churning! reminds me of a car on the interstate wheels going clack clack clack. great episode for sure! stay safe!
You are becoming quite an artist, with those pools Chris. What, water Lilies would survive in that regional climate, they are ideal, for fish to breed under?
Yes Sir !! Turned out really Nice Chris !! Gave to Old Man's catfish a little more room there .....lololol..... Always like those in an out jobs, making a little quick change an move on real quick !! Without giving up any quality !! Great as always Man, Have a Great Weekend !! Seems like this week went quick ?? lolol...guess it was the Holiday.....On too the Next....
After the touch up, it looks great. I just can't get over though with what it cost how much extra would it have been to do drain it and do the middle or raise that dam a little. He has lots of money in it.
I can understand wanting a bigger pond/lake, but I would I would rather have a little smaller pond and have it really deep, so it can hold Trout. Just an opinion. Great video Chris.
That's I tought on many of his ponds. Fish go up and down on ridges to feed and reproduce in the colder, shaded bottoms. On a flat, shallow bottom, thus warm water, only catfish 🤮 and sun fish will survive. Any fisherman know that !
@@augustreil most every catfish "farmer" also raises crawfish (crawdads, mudbugs) as a dual crop. When one is dormant the other is active. We have relatives in Baton Rouge. They cook in a turkey fryer, crawfish, red potatoes, corn on the cob, whole onions and in each batch a full 5 lbs of ground red cayenne. So good but better be close to a creek in the morning lol
@@donniebrown2896, You nailed it ! That's pretty much how and what the crawfish boil I went too had ! And yes, a nice cool creek the next day would be a huge bonus ! Lol, too funny.
I was thinking gee it's not deep enough the fish will freeze out and then I remembered you're not in Michigan 😂🤣 we shoot for minimum of 12 ft deep and usually punch an area down to 17 ft below finish pond height...but where you're at you can probably get by with six to eight feet guessing... But it's going to really really look different with an aerial shot of before and after....an them fish?? They make exclent dirt levelers ;-)
I love the flooding when you take out the dams. Could you take more footage of flooding in the future? Longer shots or maybe using the drone? Regardless, another great vid - keep em coming!
You need to put a sample of the excavator's horn on your phone, and the next time you're out with your uncle driving play it and see if he reflexively hits the brakes.
A company we work with did a huge dam job. They only have scrapers so when they need big excavators and off road trucks they hire us. After the scrapers I would go in with the 390 and dig habitat for the fish all over the place the gps on the hoe really paid for its self on that job. One of the haul truck drivers set pins on his phone where they were at and he goes out there and catches fish all day nonstop. The people that fish their all the time think he’s this great fisherman and I dug so many of them no one catches on because he just goes all over the lake because he knows exactly where each one is at.
A lot of care and concern on every job he does. A real pleasure to watch and learn.

Great job as always Chris. It's not about what the owner wants, it's all about what makes the fish happy 😊
Chris that’s one big pond! Thanks for sharing. Kevin
Beautiful Pond work. You always make things so nice.
Nice looking pond excellent work
This homeowner is awesome. Big shooting range, extra deep fishin' holes, 250 dumping dirt in the little Kubota...why not, eh? This guy seems like a lot of fun.
I've noticed most of the ponds seem to be shallow. My pond is 3/4 acres and 35 feet deep.

Shooting range and a fishing pond.....my idea of heaven.
Thought those ponds are much deeper. 🤔 So, what's planned for the weekend? Any auction, barbecue, festival...?

Great Job
Nice Haircut Chris 👍😎
P.S the Back Tire, on the Hall Truck is Low on the Drivers Side
Should have used that last ridge to make an island for the birds.
Nice job!!
Bigger pond AND a backstop; don't get any better than that.
That looks more like a custom Pond with Different levels. Now everybody will want one.
THE FISH WHISPERER !!! THEY ASK , CHRIS GIVES THEM FISH SANCTUARY LOL
not really, the ponds he makes are too shallow to be good fish ponds
Looks great Chris 🇺🇲
"pretty much the muddy spot is everything I dug"...excellent finishing line
hey mr. chris! i love the sound of those excavator tracks rhythmically churning! reminds me of a car on the interstate wheels going clack clack clack. great episode for sure! stay safe!
Glad you had a firm base.....in mine I would sink out of site if I drove in.....
I see you got a hair cut there Mr Chris.
Summer is in full swing.

What are your ponds used for? In Pennsylvania we use them for fire water on the farms.
Paddling pools.
Fish
What is the deepest pond you have dug?
Hey chris how early do you leave work so you can have a video up a 6 pm everyday
I do the videos at night on the day before they post
