  • I installed the KB diesel upper intake on the shop 6.5L diesel and it runs great! Better throttle response and I noticed it has a bit more pep in its step now that the air flow is no longer restricted with a stock upper!

      So as it stands now...
      stock turbo wheel and intake 10psi boost 21 drive
      Wicked wheel with stock intake 10psi boost 18psi drive
      Wicked wheel with upper intake 10psi boost is 14-16psi drive pressure.
      Over all the upper intake did the most damage and helped give that turbo a chance to free flow a bit better!

  • @ryanburbridge

    Hello, what is drive pressure? I’ve been around diesels. I have never heard of this term. Can you educate? Thanks

    • @gingersnapcustoms
      @gingersnapcustoms  Před rokem

      The amount of exhaust pressure required to drive a turbo. In most cases you want an equal pressure on the intake and exhaust side of the head in order to keep it cooler and run more efficiently. If you run double the exhaust pressure to boost that often causes high cylinder temps and pressure causing head gasket failure
