I'm an Arsenal supporter and it took me two seconds to watch him against us in the pre-season to know he was a huge, huge talent. The England midfield should be Rice, Mainoo and Bellingham.
You’re probably the first Arsenal fan to say so. He controlled that game. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing and just chalked it up to it being a preseason game. But he’s surpassed my expectations. Hope he stays fit and is managed better than Pogba was.

No fullbacks, Casemiro, Varane and Martinez injuries, no RW options at some point (this Bruno playing there), Rashford, Onana and Amrabat out of form, and tactics that couldn’t do the best with what they had available. It’s that AND Mainoo’s injury that has made United rubbish this season.

The first time I saw Mainoo, I was like wow! Who’s that boy. I told my closest friend that how a Man U fan that I wish we could steal him. After 4 matches, I made up my mind about Mainoo. The boy has grit and talent for days. I’m an Arsenal fan and this boy is going to explode big time.
The right manager to develop Kobbie is one who has the ability to bring youth to the first team and thrive in such a way that if the player has to be sold, they are going for big fees

I get your point but remember Wilshire was bossing midfields of Barca and Milan as a teenager... but then injuries hit. Hard to know about these young players who have close control and almost encourage players to come onto them. He's hreat, but we've seen as good and not come out great due to injuries or increased burdens on them
Plus the case study with this is Saka. Not everyone is as sturdy and strong as Saka is given how much he’s been kicked and fouled all his young career.

mainoo's talent is outrageous, I've never seen an English central midfielder at this age look this composed and confident on the ball. he's a better version of Jack wilshere... he has more bite and defence awareness, a bit more pace and all the comfort on the ball u can want. his ability under the pressure is unreal. he remind me of luka modric the way he plays. he definitely ready for a shot already. he's generational for certain
A point Terry makes about Mainoo being like Rooney is a little much. While Mainoo's technical ability is outstanding, Rooney was a man at 16 and that physicality definitely helps. Mainoo may be generational but he will hopefully develop physically and that will help.

Elliot has the best passing range out of all 3 which allows him change games more often but is probably the least versatile.
Kobe has a blend of technical security and anticipation snd aggrssive in a tackle

IMO Jones and Elliot have been criminally downplayed by the masses and their own fans for 18 months whilst Kobee is being overly praised due to Uniteds current situation.
But watch Liverpool fans who didn't rate Jones and Elliot before now start to rate them because Kobe has risen. Pretty funny to see from an outsider

I think just showing him England want him is important (irish man) he will be a star with Rice and Jude what a midfield 3 dream midfield for any country
People tend to forget(in particular lazy un educated pundits) that Mainoo was out for the first half of the season through a freak injury. This means that from a match fitness point of view, you play catch up for the rest of the season, hence the reason why his time on the pitch is being carefully managed. He is NOT being subbed for performance reasons, like Mills would tend to suggest.
On a footballing level, it makes sense, but I'm more concerned about the backlash he'll receive if he starts for England and doesn't win the Euros. We saw exactly what happened to Saka and Rashford after the last final.

@@DmizzMOB I watched him play against Fulham and he not only did not stand out but he was one of the worst players on the pitch. I also saw him play West Ham earlier this season and he was awful and against Nottingham Forest he was so bad I remember him being taken off at halftime.
