    Hey man. I'm working on my second build now. I've upgraded from an 03 dodge van to a 2020 promaster and I have to say, your videos have been so helpful to draw inspiration from. I really enjoy the format of your videos. It's not the annoying stereotypical "Vanlife" build vlog." You're just a dude building out a van and documenting the process and I really appreciate that. ESPECIALLY since you include the links to all of the gear in the description!

    exactly what I was interested in seeing. thinking to get a van some day. having a sealed box like this is what I had in mind. good seeing someone else did it too.

    Helpful vid, thank you! How did you seal around the propane hose coming out of the side of the box? I can't figure a way around making the hole larger than the hose since the fitting has to pass through.

      I just used a bunch of caulking. On my new van I am now mounting the propane tank below the van. It’s a much better set up. I have a video on it. Here is the link czcams.com/video/YwrfmyP3Ug0/video.html

    my understandinmg is that these should be top loaded rather than side loaded. Your thought?

    • @BuildingVanLife

      I don’t know about that. I have a better solution on my current build though. Here is the video czcams.com/video/YwrfmyP3Ug0/video.html

    Great video, detail and process. This is a lot like what I'm doing and wanted to ask what size hole saw you were using that worked with your 1" PVC vent pipe. I'm going to venture 1 5/8" but thought I'd ask someone who did it themselves!

      I don’t recall it was a long time ago. I think I just held it up to the pipe to size it. I wanted it as tight as possible. I have a new propane solution on my current build. I’ll be making a video on it in the next few weeks. It’s something I’ve never seen anyone else do in a van. I thinks it’s going to be much better than this

    Hi. Your video is really helpful. Can you tell me how easy/difficult it is to pull that tank in and out to refill it or swap it out? Are there quick connects to those regulators or what?? Also can you explain the rest of the propane connections and what kind of hose you used? Thanks!!

    • @BuildingVanLife
      @BuildingVanLife  Před 2 lety +1

      It’s really easy. I have all the links to the products I used in the description. They are just the connections you use for a bbq. They unscrew like that and you just pull it out. If you can change a bbq tank you can change these just as easy.

    Nice job on this! Is the plywood held together only by wood glue?

    • @BuildingVanLife
      @BuildingVanLife  Před 2 lety +2

      I used the finish nail gun and the wood glue to hold it together.
