Charmadi Ghat bus journey on Ashok Leyland bus to Mangalore,
This was an unexpected and long pending journey I wanted to make. I found KSRTC Saarige at Chikmagalur bus stand and spoke to captain of the bus Shantayya Hiremath sir..he was very warm and helped me get the seat though the bus was crowded. We began the journey at 2:30 pm from Chikmagalur via mudigere, kottigehara, Ujire,Bantwal to reach Mangalore at 6:30 . Seeing charmadi ghats after decades was a great experience and Shantayya sirs driving skills were excellent.
