It's awesome how you let your tanks grow out a little bit before posting. It makes it so much cooler
Mark, you have an amazing gift for aquascaping, I hope that one day this channel becomes your full time job, as always, keep up the great work man and I will see u at your next video.
As a tribute to Sami, maybe a green alien betta would look great against the red plants?
Fantastic idea and execution. It will be a great contrast to all the other green tanks. Looking forward to future updates!
looking great, nicely done. the sando is perfect as well on you.
I've been wanting to create an all red scape for a long time too, now I want to do it even more
Amazing artist coupled with tenacious husbandry. Well done and thorough vlog.
Among all the Aquascaping channels, yours is one of the best!
Great information and amazing content.
Keep it up!
Love your work MJ! Keep it up!
I really enjoy the way you explain things 👍 great stuff
Nice informative presentation. Good work much appreciated- thanks.
Beautiful tanks. I love the rounded corners.
Me too!
I love to see the Green Aqua channel, Balazs makes great scapes. Your Scapes are on the top too and i learn a lot with your channel. This one when become full red will be beautiful, looking forward to see it. Thanks for the videos.
another great video!
i think i had the same background foil, and thougt i did something wrong
but it did take almost 1 week to perfectly dry, but now it sits very nice without any air or stripes.
Beautiful scape I can’t wait to get to this level‼️🔥🔥
Eagerly waiting for updates on this tank 💚🍀🌿
Blue Jelly neocaridina shrimps! Would look nice in contrast with the dark substrate, black background and red plants 🙂
Great job man. I have been planning to do an all red tank. I got a whole collection of red plants that I can use...even the bacopa. Just wanted to remind you about the crypt...they almost always melt and then grow back with new leaves. So I wouldn't be removing the melted ones. Just wait. But great job bro. Love your channel. Honest and full of info.
my favorite red plants nice setup
Good effort as always.
I immediately thought Silver tip tetras would look very complimentary in this aquarium
Another great tutorial. Maybe a smaller leaf lily to replace the failing plant on the right? It would need constant control of leaves and stem length but would add different texture.
Maybe another betta ? Or golden neocaradina shrimp for livestock? The green rasbora color might fade out, to the eye, under those lights. Keep up the phenomenal work. I enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for all you do.
Prachtig echt heel mooi en bedankt voor de ispiratie!!!!
Really cool love the ASMR joke.Great video, love how you told us about your lighting.
Pink Crypts are like 2 year olds, they are pretty fuzzy. Once they root and like their area though they do really well. But if you move them even in the same tank they hate it. They are hardier once they mature though so the biggest tip I got was once they have a runner go out and sprout a plant, wait until it fully matures to them separate and transplant. I started with one and now have 5 which I all transferred to a bigger tank. All but one survived, well the 5th is still in question, it looks like it might make a comeback.
Amazing setup. Keep up the good work 👍🏼😊
I do love my microdevario kubotai. They would indeed look fantastic in that tank!
You did great !
Great looking tank,
A nice school of neon tetras would compliment the purple in the tank. their red will fall back but their blue will pop.
Thanks for the great channel.
Ludwigia Wallichii would look really good in your tank and I agree about the neon green rasboras, great choice for a red planted tank.
Green rasboras are beautiful fish. Go for it, mate!
Very cool Mark I’m curious to see that bacopa when it changes color!
Hello! I had a really nice small tetra in the past, its scientific name is Prionobrama filigera. I guess this will be a great addition to your red plants only tank. As for some other red plants, I offer to plant Rotala wallichii, which has got a nice reddish tint.
Nice aquascape tutorial
Mossy green tiger barbs would look nice. Love your work, I’ve learnt a lot from your videos. 🤙🏻
I will just say 👍🏼👍🏼
Looking forward to updates.
Cheers 🏄🏼♂️
All red is a fun concept! Funny enough I got some Bacopa for my first ever aquascape (now about 2 months old). Didn't know it was rare! They've turned a little bit purple but not like the pic you showed from 2hraquarist. Hopefully I can get them there eventually! My plants are kind of struggling a bit so at this point though. If I had more experience they'd prob be a lot more purple by this point. Amazing how much your plants grew in just 2 weeks compared to what I've experienced with mine. Nice work!
I am already excited to see how this tank develops! In case you need to change out a plant, maybe for „Proserpinaca Palustris” or
„Myriophyllum Tuberculatum”? They both develop really nice redish-orangey colours.
For fish I honestly don’t have an idea what to suggest… a pair of dwarf gouramis perhaps? They are really nice but I don’t know if they suit this scape. Either way, I am looking forward for the next update!
100% go with the kubotai rasbora. I immediately thought of them as well when you mentioned stocking. Maybe some snowball neocardinia shrimp as well. I think the white shrimp and neon green Rasboras would be beautiful contrast against the red plants.
so beautiful scape. i am so excited to see red beauties in upcoming weeks. perfect scape. i love to suggest ludwigia orange juice. goldy
honey gourami ftw! nice yellow contrast to the plants =)
beauty collection
Cryptocoryne Beckettii is a nice brown on the top with reddish undertones on the bottom of the leaves.
Great video. Rotala macrandra is a nice red plant with round leaves that might look very nice. Crypt tropica bronze or red could also be nice midground plants for the scape. Myriophyllum tuberculutum red is a nice red plant with needle like leaves that looks like a feather duster that is different enough from H'ra to look distinct. There's rotala orange juice if you want something more orange than red. And there is also blyxa japonica which gets red tips under high lighting that you have. That could be nice to offset the very vibrant colors you have. As for fish, I think a white or silver fish would look nice. Something understated that will add rather than detract from the appearance of the aquarium. The bloodfin tetra (aphyocharax anistitsi), the panda tetra (aphyocharax nattereri), the rummynose tetra (hemigrammus bleheri) and the reed tetra (hyphessobrycon elachys) are all beautiful fish that I think could stand out. Of course there are also rasboras which would be nice, too. The emerald eye rasbora (brevibora dorsioscellata) and even the standard rasbora heteramorpha would still shine through all the red. If the tank was bigger and you wanted a real pop off the red, green tiger barbs would flash. Ok, I've rambled enough. I wish you look and success with whatever you go with. Enjoy!
I was just talking to my sister in law last night about how it would be a nice idea if I made a Fall style tank. A lot of these plants would look really good in that theme. Your tank turned out beautiful. When I was watching your video I was thinking some vibrant color shrimp like some Orange Sunkist Shrimp, Yellow Lazer shrimp, red cherry shrimp or I saw a blue velvety cherry shrimp and that would also look amazing in the tank :)
Great video mark as always keep up the great work..
How many gallon is your new scape
Just ordered Ludwigia spec. Super Red after watching this. 🙂 I have following your videos quite some time now. Always great with lot of details. Keep up the good work!
Can you do a video about top layer bio film build up? Like is it okay to have it or do we need to remove and etc. I think lot of us dealing with it. Thank you!
Hey Mark, the red Dutch is coming along nicely. I’m interested to see if the flamingo recovers. I find it a moody crypt that grows well for me then melts to nothingness lol
Love the scape! Rasbora Kubotai would be perfect for this tank! :D
I always disliked that fish because it's the same color as plants but with only red plants it's a totally different story. Great idea!
@@dgrwd exactly! would be very cool to see how it looks in this tank
you are amazing dude
Best of the Best....
Enjoyed your video! To replace your ludwigia glandulosa, u can try ludwigia pink/white or rotala mini butterfly!
Well done.
Glandulosa is a very deep purple once it matures, and quite a stunning plant if you can get it to grow, so perhaps if you can be patient with it? Even the emersed-grown ones have amazing hues.
Suggestions: Ludwigia sp. 'Mini Super Red', Limnophila hippuridoides, Limnophila belem, Ludwigia brevipes, Ludwigia ovalis 'Pink', Ludwigia inclinata 'Red', Hygrophila polysperma 'Sunset'/'Rosanervig', Cabomba furcata/piauhyensis, Nesaea crassicaulis, Rotala sp. 'Blood Red', Rotala sp. 'Orange Juice', Rotala sp. 'Ceylon'/'Pink', Rotala sp. 'Vietnam', Rotala sp. 'Colorata', and Phyllantus fluitans.
Rasbora kubotai might be nice, along with Neocaridina davidi 'Green Jade'. Maybe some whites will pop in all that red too like albino neon tetra, golden white cloud mountain minnow, or platinum medaka.
Great scape Mark! May I suggest Ammania Gracilis as replacement if the ludwigia don't make it. Mine is doing well with hints of pink in a low tech set up, maybe you can turn it red in yours?
Love and respect from the Philippines!
Just waiting for aquascape videos
I have a few of these I’m about to plant in my first Dutch style! Currently they are just hanging out in the tank waiting for my aqua soil to arrive. What about some lime green endlers? I do like the idea of the neon green rasborras though as they are more green!
Love the green neon, something blue would look good too, maybe blue shrimp??
Hi, nice scape.
You can replace ludvigia with a beautiful Rotala Mcrandra.
Have it in my 45p and its my favorite stem plant.
Great tank,
Care wait to see Bacopa salzmanni turn purple.
How about replace with rotala ceylon ?
Lovely set up! Almost as nice as the socks lol 🧦 👌🏼
😂😂
Amazing scape for a Red Only plants, since you have a purple bacopa just to inject more colors I would suggest Ludwigia Senegalensis. Once fully submerged it will give a popping orange / reddish color which will be interesting in this scape.
Very eager to see the fully grown update later on 🙌🏽
P/S: Crypt Flamingo is quite expensive in Malaysia maybe will give it a try in the near future 😅
Great suggestion!
It's my dream as well 😌
Some day I will be do same all red plants 😃
Any way good 👍 job Mark 👍 👏
Can't wait to see this Dutch red plant district *wink*
Love it! How about a few Rummy-Nose Tetra’s to match with the red theme?
Can try:
1. Rotala ramiosor florida (purple)
2. Ludwigia dark orange
3. Ludwigia sp pink
You can try to replace ludwigia glandulosa with ludwigia ovalis, just as nice imo 👊🏻
The ”rosanervig” would be a good replacement in the midground!
Triangle planting is classic Amano technique 🌱👌🏼
(I’m gunna pretend you did all red because you support Liverpool) 😉👊🏼
Green neon tetras would also look nice as would a red and blue fish, the Badis Badis. Diamond tetras would literally shine in a red plant tank.
I've always wanted to do an all red tank with green jade shrimp that I set next to an all green tank with cherry shrimp lol
I really want to see some microdevario kubotai in an all-red scape
It'll look good with white background paper, that will highlight the red colour better than black.
Hello, longtime subscriber here and I really enjoy your videos man. For your scape I would suggest ludwigia inlclanata, cryptocoryne spiralis tiger, ammania senegalensis, ammania graciliis ludwigia senegalensis, lagenandra melboldii redd, hygrophila brown, Valisneria tiger/leopard, Valisneria rubra, echinodorus red diamond, or reni, or pink miracle, or red flame, or purple aflame, oriental, kleiner bar, kleiner prinz, ludwigia ovalis pink, samolus parviflorus red, rotala macandra pink, barclaya longifolia, bucephalndra ghost, nymphaea stellata, red tiger lotus
Wow 🤩😁👍
Nice work! How many co2 bubbles per min?
Some beautiful red bucephalandras you could try...
My ludwigia grandilosa also curling down after i put fertilizer. Then i remove it and replant it in new aquarium without fertilizer. It's back to normal now.
Sparkling gouramies would look nice :0
Very compliments. Very beautiful final result. What do you think about red kinds of Cryptocorine for a red layout?
I like it!
Just a suggestion, you can use just a pair of centre piece fish like honey gourami or ramarozi. Keep it simple and clean, less fish less nitrate.
Hey, whats the link for the black background ?
Nice vid !
Alt Rosanervig is a lovely plant and goes a deep red under my Chihiros on ‘Buce’ at only 60% intensity and low nites
I also made iwagumi style with red plants combination of repes green I hope it will work for me
Add some rotalla macrandra....or some ammania gracillis. I have them in my tank and they grow quite well with CO2.
You have ASMR done right. So satisfying 😌
Nice scape! What drop rate do you run on the tank?
I think I read somewhere that the best way to establish flamingo is with an actual potted plant.
Как всегда на высоте .) жаль что у нас нет такого разнообразия как в растениях так ив оборудование и приходится что-то где-то бастовать как современна тотального дефицита))хоть эмигрируй хотя этот вопрос уже рассматриваешься)))
Bacopa (salz man e I) Singapore variant. Very easy to get deep purples.
Just so you know, the only place your gonna find the Singapore variant in TC is in the US, and it's hobbyist made. Not in distribution yet. Araguaia is where the one you have came from I believe. It's much harder to get a nice shade of purple. Possible, but it likely won't be as nice as Singapore variant
Replacement, Red Tiger "Lotus" Waterlily. Or the the reddish Amazon Sword recently *past few years) and cultivated amazon sword.
Nice growth of the plants! Did you use any fertilizer or this was a result from soil only?
Soil only 😊
Great video can u please help me iv a planted tank with lots of plants medium light co2 1bubble per second aquasoil and nitrates stay around 5ppm due to biohome media in canister my vallies keeps melting on some of the tips I have to keep cutting the leaves off and they grow back and melt again what do I have to do to stop the melting its very nippy my pH is 7.5/7.7 gh100 kh40 nh4 0,no2 0 and 5ppm nitrates phosphates must be very low as I never get algae but I use a slow moving plenem it's just an undergravel plate and uplift tube cut short to 4" with a nano USB airpump and a reduction valve so very little air go's into tank i add half a ml of fluval gro+ ferts once a day it's an all in one fert I have lights on 9hours per day
Try the Rotala Orange Juice or Cuphea
good evening, great video even if I still have trouble translating everything. Besides, would it be possible to have the subtitles in French please?
for a copper-colored plant, I recommend the rotala Macrandra.
to the pleasure
This video should already have subtitles in French
which red plants are suited for foreground in 45cm tank with hardscape stones
Green rasbora would be awesome and you could still get some jade or blue shrimp I think... Not 100% on that
from what i know red plant needs green & blue lights as they reflects the red light . and green plants needs red and blue lights as they reflects the green lights . not sure where i hear it from but it works
Very nice scape, good job. I just want to say that it doesn't look like Bacopa salzmanii SG variety. You probably got the regular variety or some other Bacopa.
Thanks for the info!
how about ammania gracilis for this tank, should be fantastic
Hi Mark,
Will 8 hours of jewel LED Lights perform well with red plants? With co2 ofcourse. I have 2 white led lights. The 80 cm aquarium only came with one. Any advise is highly highly appreciated. Take care Mark.
h. pinnatifida is a great plant tt turns reddish under high light.
oh! or Rotala "Big Leaf" Macrandra!
when i setup a new tank, with co2 i always get beard algae because of fluctuations, how do you prevent this ? are the plants you use already submerged ? or some of them.
