Deborah's offer at 10% was more than they deserved imo
So true.
The company name is Fractions Drinks Ltd. Based on their last set of accounts in 2022, they'd raised 580k in share capital, but had an operating loss of 354k. Touker is right. Valuing a business based on projected turnover rather than profit is nonsense.
Thank you for doing gods work for us 😊
What a muppets. Declining lousy 10% for such critical boost they would receive from a dragon. Hilarious.
They’ll get a better deal elsewhere. They got the marketing they needed just by appearing on the show. Definitely not muppets.
@@user-bh4tg9vu5u Her connections in that specific industry are worth the 10% they are muppets.
You know nothing about business
That's a ridiculous valuation for how little they have in sales, with no IP.
Precisely. The offer was more than generous - they are muppets to turn it down.
That pitch was only 25% strength 😂
🤣
That branding looks like Morrisons Savers.
Happy shopper looks better
Funny you say that cos it's exactly where its going....😂
This is what mixers are for ffs
problem with that is you cut the flavour profile with the alcohol content so it's more akin to the mixer than the cocktail
I can water my own drinks down...these guys are jokes!
Did you watch the video? Sara addressed your point.
''The Walking Braindead'' ....A series coming soon to netflix.
They're obviously not here for a deal, but what disappointed me even more is that the clock in the corridor before the lift doesn't work. I was eager to see the time difference between entering and leaving the den, unless they spent 24 hours there l😂
I expect they spent 12 hours
I love Sara she's so cool and down to earth!
With Debrah’s contacts, they’re gonna regret that.
vodka in midi- full vodka in schooner-1/2 vodka in pint - 1/4 ? these guys must never go out ? wish i had the idea to water down drinks....
If you dont want to drink why not just QUIT drinking or drink zero percent alcohol? Alcohol is overrated anyway!
By that logic, if you do want to drink, why not become an alcoholic drinking 2 bottles of rum a day!
This has been on trial sale for years - just tastes pretty awful. Drink or don't is my advice
The way Tukur adjusted his posture while Debra spoke, was funny. He could sense a better offer coming from her.
Happy shopper put more effort into their branding
There are so many very good alcohol free alternatives these days. This seems like a worse alternative to those.
This wasn't about being alcohol free; it's about less at a time.
Walked away for the sake of 1.5% is madness!!!!
Ouch, pain... great product, and they're gunna need a Daddy Warbucks in this industry.
Petty Betties
Thanks for the spoiler 😢😂😂
No the dragons lost out because of one percent
It’s not 1.5. They asked for 2% . That’s 5% difference
Why not just put less alcohol in when you mix a drink.
That's hilarious you're absolutely right
Heheh, that's great... but honestly: it's for clubs/pubs... and taxation. But anyway, didn't happen.
Watch the video. Sara answered your question already.
Because then it tastes more like the mixer and less like the spirit.
School boy error declining the 10% and the branding makes it look like white spirits bottle from a DIY store.
They just wanted exposure hence smirking at the end in the elevator
We have a brand new concept! Watered down alcohol, cause that is not something every bar and disco has done for ages to save money 😎
Thank you for making my breakfast better
I only drink once in a blue moon and I want to get rat-arsed when I do, so not for me. I don't understand why anyone would want to drink unless to get drunk anyway. I don't get it
Because alcohol tastes nice? That's a bit like saying why eat chocolate unless to throw it up from overeating.... people enjoy it in moderation
They've never heard of "single in a tall glass" eh
…and you’d have to pay 4x the price to get trollied! 😂
Is that Deborah using a plastic straw? 🤔
I hope i remember to look at their Web site in 6 months, which i won't...
Where I live there a dozens of drinks like these and they have been around for quite some time. I'm assuming the same goes for most of the world. I don't get what "new category" they are talking about.
What a couple of planks.....
Actually they are not. They were never after a deal, they just wanted free exposure and advertising for their business, which they got.
@@Car-crazy Yeah.....I have a working brain, thus, I did manage to work that out. But thanks anyway.
1.5 % whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat
Don’t think these guys value a dragon
Debra gave a good deal ...they are going to regret it...ohh well win some loose some...
Brandy? I don´t think so! Brandy has to be 37.5% to be called brandy! Unless things have changed of course!
Fabian and Rowan, sound like good public school names, I'm sure they'll be able to suck up any losses comfortably
3:52 lol Pretty funny seeing them wriggle and tell figures that contradict their valuations.
Didn’t even want to negotiate with Touker
You have to wonder what their current shareholding is - im guessing its quite low that they couldnt even budge another percent
Is adding a mixer not reducing the alcohol content?
1.5% nothing will loss for them., They supposed to be accepted
The brand is not good. It looks very "classic" or even dated, while the target market is young people. I don't think it would stand out in the shelves.
The greedy boys
Just put less spirit in your drink! Also will be cheaper! These two are so deluded it’s unreal. 😅
Pour in less spirit and more mixer?
They must have been drinking the product to decline her offer.
You can't go in the den with less than 10% equity on offer, this isn't a series A round 🤣
Would it not be more cost effective to just buy a big regular strength bottle and use more tonic water?
There are quite a few health claims on the product - e.g. vegan, low calorie. I don't think you can make health claims on an alcohol product.
They are not "health claims", they are accurate descriptions of the product. Unless they are false, they should point the positives of their product.
I am really annoyed when entrepreneurs come in for an investment and they either lie or demonstrate a complete lack of awareness of the market they are trying to enter. Their story is that they wanted low alcohol drinks for such and such reason but couldn't find any, so they created their brand. What a bunch of nonsense. The market is chock-full of low alcoholic drinks or ones that are completely free of alcohol. Big brands, small brands, local brands; they all offer low alcoholic options. That means they are either dishonest or don't have a clue about their market; either case is an awful sign for a potential investor.
oh well, thats blown their chance of success, silly boys
Should have offered the difference in advisory shares.
Lol left for 1.5% what muppets
A pair of fools
Smart guy, but he just doesn't get it. So hung up on the numbers he forgot what's actually important. Real entrepreneur would have jumped at the business opportunity.
Why didn’t any of them mention how bad the branding is?
Where is this company up to now 2 years on from the den? Anyone know? Did they do the right thing for 1.5%?
Doubt it mate, it’s a ridiculous idea
@@JohnSmith-cs7jg I just googled their company, seems they are stocked in a lot of places well it was dated 2022 so don’t know about 2024.
they are complete idiots for turning down debra .
When I was at uni there was a drink called Snakebite. Anyone else remember exactly what it was lol
Snakebite is half lager half cider 🍺
Cider+Lager and some bars make it for you but the loophole is to ask for a pint of Diesel and they make one and top it off with Blackcurrant.
People add blackcurrant...just makes it too sweet.
That branding looks awful and cheap. Imagine refusing that offer..... Not a good decision at all.
I think their audience personas were written to fit their product and not the other way round. Ive never seen or heard of someone asking the barman for their lighter drink recommendations. Fitness freaks either dont drink or have just one.
Spoiler blocker
WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT??!!
7.5 was a good offer.
Lool this was clearly free marketing strategy from them
But nobody is gonna drink it. So...
Did Jenny mention she's out?
No
Very creative joke. Congratulations.
15:24
Just add a bit of water. Problem solved. Ridiculous business idea.
silly lads being greedy
Lads weren’t being greedy they were protecting their business and other investors also had a fair bit of equity in their business so these guys probably had very thin margins to play with!
They will regret this
Not good should have taken Debra's offer ...🙄🤔
I wonder how is this brand doing?
The owners got blown up
This is nothing new. In Japan and other areas in South East Asia diluted and under-distilled spirits are commonplace but mostly don't gain purchase in Western markets.
what muppets!
What younger people are drinking less?
the dragons always make out theyre proper alcoholics.. if it was any other drug theyd never do that. why is it cool for them to be like dude im desperate for a drink. and clearly they arent.
This is not new this has been done before, ie Iceland has brandx low strength brandy . Absolute rubbish
What a load of crap…this is literally why most people mix their drinks 😂…put less alcohol and more mixer = problem solved
not without Debra
Easily copied by big names if a success.
Gins done rums next big thing.
their on dole now
Rowan was useless in this pitch. shouldnt have bothered in turning up
these guys are more delusional than diluted
How can they have a net profit with a minus figure? Surely that's a net loss..
That's what the - is for
@@rleriche5044 They made a loss. A loss is a net loss, not a net profit.
smarmy sods
These guys are really dumb for declining the offers.
1:12 pretty sure this is called being an alcoholic
Diiiikkkhedsss
They should of talked exit plans . . . Build the company Create market share . . Sell to a major . Like Bacardi .
This decision was bad PR
Too many adverts, therefore I'm out!
1rd
Wankkkkeeeaaassss
Terrible decision hahah
Debbie gets so salty when the deal doesn’t work out
Barbra rung, she is out.
What's a babra?

Boring pitch
