Dexter is the definition of Pitbull. They are amazing, loving, loyal, and caring dogs. Unfortunately, bad people exploit this, for disturbing reasons, and the blame, unjustly goes to the dog.
His spirit was broken. Dogs in shelters are like people in prison. Glad he was rescued and has a happy life now ❤❤

I adopted a 7 year old, tan & white, Pity just over 1 year ago, and he has changed my life like your wonderful boy has changed yours. These dogs are the sweetest, loving, goofy and feeling dogs you could ever hope for. You are one of the lucky ones as is Dexter. You found each other and now your lives are changed forever!

nobody sent anything. and with that power the sickness need not have even happen... why "send" a dog. Why do all the other dogs get killed in the shelters....? Certainly there are plenty of needy, loving, sick people that would love a beautiful animal... tell that thing to send some.???? It just happened.

I love animals but I’m someone who never thought I would have any bully breed. I now have FOUR, all foster-failures. Most misunderstood dogs on the planet. Incredibly gentle loving loyal cuddly dogs.

What an evil old bag to come up to someone on the street and say something so hateful about their dog. Disgusting. If I saw Dexter coming down the street I’d definitely cross the road…over to come and say hi! He’s lovely! Thank you for giving him such a wonderful home.

My neighbour has a bully breed and I get the best hugs from him. He knows my car and will sit and stare at it until get out and we have our snuggles. He is one of the sweetest boys I have ever met ❤
I have adopted an American Bulldog named Bella, she's just over one year old, has her shots, was neutered, and potty trained. She is Soo smart, caring, loyal, loving & an absolute fantastic guard dog. She has brought so much love and happiness in my life. I'm lucky to have her, she has me trained well too.

I rescued my dog a couple months after my wife of 52 years died. My dog Lexi is 37% pittie and she is the sweetest girl and has been since the day I got her, she has saved me. I was never a full fledged "dog-person", but I sure am now. She just heard me crying as I was writing this and she immediately came into to console me, from the other side of the house, like she has done many times. God bless you for adopting your pittie.

I was always initiated by pit bulls because of the negativity. I went to the shelter, ended up with a pit bull, and love her so much. She is so sweet and spoiled. I wish l could rescue all of them.
We have 4 Pitt Huskies, one tiny 5lb Yorkie and one German Shepard. They are all sweet and loving and protective. That being said, If all of them were protecting something and I walked up on them my German Shepherd is who I'd be most afraid of. You give a Pitt one treat and a pet on the head and you've got a friend for life. Pitts get a seriously bad wrap.

That's exactly how a stable American Pitbull Terrier should act and is great to see. They are to show confidence anywhere and everywhere and it's great to see them with a good family. Only thing I'd change is anyone saying bully breed for pure lines.

I have a pit mix. I live in Mississippi. My dog brings me things too. She woos. She knows me. Better than any dog I’ve ever had. I’m so thankful you saved him. Bella was the last pup of a lab pit mix litter out in the country. She was headed to the pound and I took her home. She wanted to come with me. She followed me around the yard for 15 minutes while I was deciding if I wanted to take her. You’re right about our shelters. We have a great guy at ours. He works with rescue shelters up north. He tries so hard to save them all. Bella is beautiful thus the name.

Thanks for saving this guy. I think the pities r the sweetest breed ever. I adopted one several years back who had been in an outdoor run for eight years at a rescue. Me and him both were getting up there in years and all he wanted to do was go for car rides all the time. We’d also go get frozen yogurt of his favorite things to do. Unfortunately, I only had him for a year and a half, because he came down with a rare disease and died shortly thereafter. I hope I gave him at least a year & a half of love & happiness. I wish more people would adopt this breed.

I adopted a senior Plott Hound, background unknown, but likely a bear hunter turned out as he passed his prime, and in the shelter for months. He was estimated to be 8 years old at the time, and I bypassed him at first. As we were leaving staff walked a puppy by his area, and he jumped up and got down in play posture. The rest is history, he is now 15+, has slowed down but still a sweet boy, and laying near me waiting on me to go fix lunch.
