What a great adoption story. I've said this so many times: it's so nice to see when it's obvious how much a pet is loved and cherished. I can tell, these 2 people are over the moon about Rudy. He's adorable, funny and looks like a little love bug.
@Courtlyn I still miss my cat. He found me as a tiny kitten with motor oil stainingvhis fur and fleas the size of watermelon seeds crawling on him when I was 19. And he lived to be 18. He was the coolest cat. He could talk. He said "mryeess" and "nnnnoooo" when he either wanted or didnt want something. One time I was at my dads house and I told him "lets go upstairs!" He goes "nnoooo!" and ran and hid under a table. My dad goes "did he just say no?!" I told myself I couldnt get another cat because I missed him so much. So I started fostering pit bulls. I ended up with one of my own, a sweet goofy girl I couldnt let go. Then a skinny feral kitten ended up hiding in my car one day when I had the window cracked while it was parked. And he came home with me too. Now my dog is becoming elderly. Ill miss her forever too someday. But, theres always room for one more love. Not as a replacement for the ones that are gone, but another unconditional friend. When my dog is gone, someday there'll be another goofy lightbulb headed pibble I cant send off to a forever family. Its the way it is. The curse of loving and being loved by beings with lives 10% of ours. Its worth the pain though.

My two girls are both turning 12 this year and I can already see them starting to slow down and I'm saddened by the thought of losing them. I'm glad to see that OP found Rudy to help her cope with the loss of her beloved Hank. I just hope when it's time for me to face that hardship that I too can find such a precious doggo as Rudy.
You can never replace the ones that leave us. But the hole in our hearts allow for more love to share and more memories to make and more love to give and receive. Every dog deserves a loving home and every loving home needs a dog.. ADOPT and save a life (might be your own)

Hank was looking out for his mama when he sent her to find Rudy. It’s helped to keep the memory of Hank alive and allowed her to share her heart with this precious pup. Her love and determination to figure out what Rudy needed to thrive is paying great rewards. Their bond is genuine and I couldn’t be happier for this loving boy and his family.💕🐾🐾

I lost my girl a little over a year ago, she'd be turning 12 this fall. She was 1000% my child and personal shadow. I miss her every day, but I'm visiting with the foster parents of a rescued 2 year old soot sprite of a dog this weekend. It'll definitely be bittersweet if this one comes home with me, but seeing this video has me feeling much more ready for a new best friend. 🙏💚

This is such a beautiful story though I am so sorry to hear of Hanks passing but I'm sure he knew Rudy was his wonderful replacement. And I am so glad mom did everything she could to bring Rudy back to being healthy again with help from dad. Rudy is so adorable and it really touched me when Rudy thought he did something wrong that he needed mom to hold his paw to reassure him that she loves him.

The space inside our hearts is limitless. Getting a new pet in no way takes the place of former ones; each new animal’s carves out its own niche. Personally I believe they are angels and on the day it’s my time to go, I will be suddenly surrounded with all my babies who will guide me on.
When I first saw my foster to adopt I thought what am I getting into, but she put her head in my hand on the ride home and that was it!! Best thing I ever did!!
Been there, I lost one of my wonderful furry babies in 2019 and I'm still grieving. She was the sweetest, smartest dog I ever had. She was everything to me. Rudy came along at the right time, Hank sent him to you cos he wants you to love again and be happy ❤❤

Awwww. I got Bella before I lost my Darcy. I knew what was coming and I needed a dog. I don’t know if I could without doing it that way. I always have a dog. Always. Both of them chose me. I loved Darcy with my whole heart, but I know myself too. So, now I have Bella and an 8 month old kitten named Scout. I got her for Bella. She’s a doll. Thank you for saving him. It looks like he saved you too!!
Rudy had me crying, such a delightful boy to add to your home. My rescue, mutt w/o a known breed is mow 4 yrs with us and his favorite place to be is in my lap which I am ok with. Shelter dogs savor the small gestures offered to them. Happy hugs for Rudy and you and your husband.....yeah, 3 months before we adopted , moose...I named him, i had lost my dog of 14 yrs and 10 months.....quite hard.
Those people who abandoned this beautiful boy deserve terrible things in their lives. Abandoning this poor little guy. God bless this girl for saving him! You're doing a great thing for him and I wish u all the best with your new baby!

Rudy is such a sweetheart and so are his mom and dad. They didn't fold when the health problems presented. His mom did what she had to do to take care of him. And he rewarded her with love.
Great job! My cane corso was the same, chewing his feet and his weight went up and down a lot, from 115 to 135, and back down. So I put him on an all raw meat diet; beef, chicken, lamb, turkey, and venison (thanks to hunters in the family), and he was completely cured. Now he's able tolerate a small amount of vegetables and fruits, he loves blueberries and raw green beans, and I give him additive-free homemade jerky as his treats. I weighed him this week and he's a ripped 157lbs of muscle, happy as can be, and loves to play and exercise.

Maybe you want to check on the raw beans, as far as I know, raw beans contain a certain kind of poison which can be neutralized by cooking (boiling water, at least 10-15 minutes)
When I watch these vids I'm usually just focused on the animal but I have to say that pup momma seems like a really sweet lady. They're both the stars of this happy ever after story. God bless you all. ❤
There are so many of us with fur best friends, but so many more needing us, don't make them wait when yours passes hop back on that bus as soon as you can! We just got a Neufy mix after loosing our Xera. Her Brother needed it just as much as we did.

I lost by dog February 9, 2023. She lived for 20 years and 9 days. I struggle everyday. I have a cat but he has never lived a day in his without our dog. She came from the streets became my service dog. She detected my seizures. Never growled at the kids...I want another. But I want to rescue. Thank you for taking this adorible pup in!❤
Pitties are an extraordinarily beautiful breed, as you and I clearly know. You are extraordinary human beings for loving your babies to the depths you do. Additionally, you rescued and adopted your babies, which speaks volumes about your character overall. Hank sent you to find Mr. Pepperoni. He wanted you to continue to keep your loving, beautiful heart open, to give another animal the awesome life you gave him, and to give you a buddy to be there for you in return. He knows he cannot be replaced, and that is not what anyone is doing when they open their heart to another animal after a precious piece of their heart leaves them for now. Your amazing baby would not want you to close off your loving heart to another baby who could be saved, loved, and given a wonderful life! Dogs and animals are perfect, which is why they are not able to stay as long as humans. We are supposed to learn how to be good, loving, and kind in our lives, but we are flawed and not as intelligent as we believe ourselves to be. This is not the case with dogs and other animals. Thus, they try to teach us everything they know, including the above-mentioned. But they have more important things to do and see, and so they must move on. Until one day we get to a place where we meet up again, only this time we get to stay with each other infinitely. Keep your hearts open, people. Go save a life; they will actually end up saving yours as a way of saying thank you. Thank you for being good human beings who love animals. Since she passed not a night has gone by that I haven't sung the lullaby to her photo. I talk to her all the time, especially when I am out on hikes with my dog that came after her because they are the same places I went with her. And so I will talk to her and ask her if she remembers the day we saw this animal in that spot. Or if my dog is doing something hes not supposed to be doing I tell her to teach him to be a good boy (she ALWAYS listened). I know she is being cared for by my great grandpa, who was an animal whisperer until it is my time. ❤

They teach us as much as they can in this realm, and then they must go on to bigger things for awhile, but they love us so much and they know we desperately want to be like them some day, so they keep creating and sending us teaching guides. It's a lot of hard work, yet they do it over and over again, so we have their guides to take us through this place until we all see each other again. They are all around us at all times. Every life that moves on remains around us. Lives are energy, and energy never dissipates. Never disappears. It only changes into different forms. Keep talking to your baby; they hear us just fine, they still love us, and they are still right beside you. That never changes. It will be this way until we are all together again. Ok, this might be my favorite video. She's honest about what it means to adopt a traumatized baby BUT she also worked so hard to do everything she could to reassure him that he's family. It's not easy but it's WORTH IT! Thank you for adopting this baby!! You're the best mom he could've ever asked for.
I can so relate!! I lost my fur baby of 14 years, I was devastated!! About a week later my husband brings home this puppy he rescued, she was so tiny and sick with intestinal parasites. So, off to the vet we go to get her medicated for the parasites but find she also had infections in both ears! This poor baby was so little and so young and already so sick from neglect! I didn't think I was ready for another fur baby but somewhere along the journey of getting this baby well she worked her way into my heart! My other baby, he's still there and I'll still get really sad if I let myself dwell too much on how much I miss him but I realized that my husband bringing this baby home helped me from completely falling into a dark hole of depression! You can never replace those that you've loved and lost, but you can make room in your heart to love (and save) another, especially when there are so many out there who desperately need loving homes!!
I'm thinking more and more that I might want a pit bull. My sweet baby (unknown breed) died a few weeks ago and I don't ever want to go through that again, but this video makes me want to go hang out with some of the shelter pups who are longing for a home and someone to love 😢

Rudy had me crying, such a delightful boy to add to your home. My rescue, mutt w/o a known breed is mow 4 yrs with us and his favorite place to be is in my lap which I am ok with. Shelter dogs savor the small gestures offered to them.

Rudy is such a sweetheart and so are his mom and dad. They didn't fold when the health problems presented. His mom did what she had to do to take care of him. And he rewarded her with love.

Great job! My cane corso was the same, chewing his feet and his weight went up and down a lot, from 115 to 135, and back down. So I put him on an all raw meat diet; beef, chicken, lamb, turkey, and venison (thanks to hunters in the family), and he was completely cured. Now he's able tolerate a small amount of vegetables and fruits, he loves blueberries and raw green beans, and I give him additive-free homemade jerky as his treats. I weighed him this week and he's a ripped 157lbs of muscle, happy as can be, and loves to play and exercise.

Maybe you want to check on the raw beans, as far as I know, raw beans contain a certain kind of poison which can be neutralized by cooking (boiling water, at least 10-15 minutes)
When I watch these vids I'm usually just focused on the animal but I have to say that pup momma seems like a really sweet lady. They're both the stars of this happy ever after story. God bless you all. ❤

I lost by dog February 9, 2023. She lived for 20 years and 9 days. I struggle everyday. I have a cat but he has never lived a day in his without our dog. She came from the streets became my service dog. She detected my seizures. Never growled at the kids...I want another. But I want to rescue.

Your amazing baby would not want you to close off your loving heart to another baby who could be saved, loved, and given a wonderful life!
Dogs and animals are perfect, which is why they are not able to stay as long as humans.
We are supposed to learn how to be good, loving, and kind in our lives, but we are flawed and not as intelligent as we believe ourselves to be.
This is not the case with dogs and other animals. Thus, they try to teach us everything they know, including the above-mentioned.
But they have more important things to do and see, and so they must move on. Until one day we get to a place where we meet up again, only this time we get to stay with each other infinitely.
Keep your hearts open, people.
Go save a life; they will actually end up saving yours as a way of saying thank you.

Since she passed not a night has gone by that I haven't sung the lullaby to her photo. I talk to her all the time, especially when I am out on hikes with my dog that came after her because they are the same places I went with her. And so I will talk to her and ask her if she remembers the day we saw this animal in that spot. Or if my dog is doing something hes not supposed to be doing I tell her to teach him to be a good boy (she ALWAYS listened). I know she is being cared for by my great grandpa, who was an animal whisperer until it is my time. ❤

They are here to teach us how to love and be good; however, humans are not that bright.
They teach us as much as they can in this realm, and then they must go on to bigger things for awhile, but they love us so much and they know we desperately want to be like them some day, so they keep creating and sending us teaching guides. It's a lot of hard work, yet they do it over and over again, so we have their guides to take us through this place until we all see each other again.
They are all around us at all times. Every life that moves on remains around us. Lives are energy, and energy never dissipates. Never disappears.
It only changes into different forms.
Keep talking to your baby; they hear us just fine, they still love us, and they are still right beside you. That never changes. It will be this way until we are all together again.
Be kind, continue with an open, loving heart, and be gentle with yourself, woman.

Ok, this might be my favorite video. She's honest about what it means to adopt a traumatized baby BUT she also worked so hard to do everything she could to reassure him that he's family. It's not easy but it's WORTH IT! Thank you for adopting this baby!! You're the best mom he could've ever asked for.

I can so relate!! I lost my fur baby of 14 years, I was devastated!! About a week later my husband brings home this puppy he rescued, she was so tiny and sick with intestinal parasites. So, off to the vet we go to get her medicated for the parasites but find she also had infections in both ears! This poor baby was so little and so young and already so sick from neglect! I didn't think I was ready for another fur baby but somewhere along the journey of getting this baby well she worked her way into my heart! My other baby, he's still there and I'll still get really sad if I let myself dwell too much on how much I miss him but I realized that my husband bringing this baby home helped me from completely falling into a dark hole of depression! You can never replace those that you've loved and lost, but you can make room in your heart to love (and save) another, especially when there are so many out there who desperately need loving homes!!
I'm thinking more and more that I might want a pit bull. My sweet baby (unknown breed) died a few weeks ago and I don't ever want to go through that again, but this video makes me want to go hang out with some of the shelter pups who are longing for a home and someone to love 😢
