- At first, Alyson didn't want a bully pup, but then a blind doggo named Levi melted her heart. So much that he got a little brother, Jax. They help each other navigate their home and they play all day until it’s bedtime. They prove just how amazing special needs dogs can be, especially bully breeds and Alyson could not imagine life without them.
However, now Levi and Jax need your help🙌 Jax recently went through costly surgery and recovery period. So Alyson has collaborated with other dog and cat influencers to come out with this beautiful calendar. All of her proceeds will be going towards Jax and Levi’s veterinary bills. I agree. I have a bully dog. They got his tail before I got him, but I refuse to do the ears. I do, however, have to pay real attention to his ears. A LOT of ear infections and ear mites. Once it cost $600.00. But now i know what to do, so we are cool.
I mean to be honest breeders should be forbidden anyway. there are enough street dogs and mixed dogs that need homes and many breeds are breeding of defects and I always can just advise people to NOT buy a special breed from a breeder but to look for street dogs maybe from other countries. they often have unique look anyway which might come closer to the ones you want.

People PLEASE STOP cutting off your pet's ears, tails and declawing just for aesthetics or because it's scratching. I can understand if its a medical issue but mutilation as a beauty standard is no different than foot binding humans. That is very loving that you opened your home for the rescue pups so kind of you.

Hey, I can't stand to hear people declawing an animal. I heard a lady say she had her cats declawed and I thought, why. People, if you furniture is more valuable than your pet leave him/her for a real parent. Declawing, cropping ears and tails, neck leashes, tethering pets onside or outside, cages and crates for all day indoor use and last but not least leaving you pet outdoors all year round are horrible ways to show your love. Please, just let someone else adopt, sheesh.

@@gamesmoney1025 sometimes, but usually it's because someone, many years ago, decided they looked better without ears/tails. many other dog breeds have longer, floppier ears, and don't have problems.
@@TheMidnightBell07 I am sure if you asked my 3 cats who were all declawed if they’d rather have a long wonderful life with me, or be euthanized like millions of cats each year, they’d pick the week of pain. They all still ran, jumped, hunted and climbed trees.

❤❤❤😅I rescued 6 pit bulls newborn dumped in a vet where they had dumpster for dead dogs,my son was passing by and heard the puppies crying and brought them home to me and I raised them.,it was such a joy to have them in my life, we truly loved them and found homes for all of them and I kept two girls, my best memories of taking care of these baby puppies. Mutilating a dog’s ears is inhumane abuse. Dogs are pure love and innocence. Humans can be so inhumane and cruel. We don’t deserve dogs.
Except that Pitbulls are a working/livestock/guardian breed and as such floppy ears are a damn death sentence.

The majority of Pitties that have cropped ears are not/never will be/were never considered for working as a livestock breed or even a guardian breed, certainly this blind from birth puppy was not. This was done purely for cosmetic reasons. Australian shepherds are much more of a livestock breed and no one crops their ears and I've never heard of "their floppy ears being a damn death sentence." Our Pittie is also a guard dog and this is our 3rd and there has never been an issue with their floppy ears or long tail.
I was always against bullies until a homeless bullie came to my house. I invited her in for a drink of water. It has been 4 1/2 years ago and we have been happy ever after. She is the most affectionate, caring for me dog. Bullies are extremely intelligent and disciplined and love human companionship.

I adopted a blind, mostly deaf, 15 year old min pin, back in October. He’s an absolute joy. I’ve never had a special needs dog, nor a miniature pinscher, but he’s such a good boy and absolutely hilarious! My favorite is when he gets sassy with me, cocks his head, stares very intently at the wall, and tells that wall who the boss is!!! I thought I was helping an older doggo live his best years, but it turns out I’m the one who needed him.

You are awesome talking in two blind pups, it isn't easy. People should know that dog's that have been blind since birth don't know they have a disability. They can be just as happy loving and affectionate as any other dog. It's all about the family, good owners have good dogs.

It's very easy too have blind animal i had 2 blind Persian cats and they were brilliant and smart as long as you have love and patience you'd be just fine 😇🌼

When my little poodle went blind at six years old due to diabetes, I would clap my hands to help her find her way and talk to her. It worked out well. She lived another 7 years as a well adjusted blind dog. She was the love of my life as far as we were both concerned.❤

For a blind dog, use area rugs and runners to give them a safe way to move around.
As long as there are no obstacles on the carpeted areas, they can find where they are and move without fear.

Dogs are pack animals, even if they can't see. Dogs can pick up the scents and sounds that tell if an animal is an infant something or other. I would have guessed they would get along well with nice introductions to each other. Wonderful story and video.

We adopted our blind girl at 12yrs old. She’d been used for breeding for 10yrs and on the street for 2yrs..we had her spayed and groomed…she taught us so much and we loved her to the moon. We only had 3 yrs with her but she got to travel, have friends, and to peacefully and safely lay in the sun…

Bless your heart for rescuing these 2 cuties. All big dogs, especially bully dogs get such a biased, unfair and bad press that is completely unjustifiable and wrong! I am so sad that adorable Jax and Levi are both blind but what you have done for them (I found the hula hoop attatched to the harness especially brilliant and usefull!) is so kind, compassionate and sweet. @@sallyjoan it’s the same as having a baby as they do that too. Dogs are amazing as they can be taught even with only two legs to go outside to go to the toilet. Unless they have brain damage , every dog can be trained and function quite well in society. I previously had a two legged Rottweiler who functioned nearly as good as his fully ambled brother. If you teach them correctly they learn and give loads of love and they do tell you when it’s time to go out. All animals are worth it in the end if loved and shown love.

I never thought I would own a bully. My lab passed away from cancer at 9 yrs old. My friend offered me a pure bred amstaff. She and her daughter's wanted to make me feel better after losing my dog. It was several months later. I welcomed their loving gift and have never looked back. Roxie, my bully baby, is so loving and friendly to everyone. She's absolutely adorable! There is no such thing as too much love to her. I'm so glad I said yes to accepting the gift of her.

Levi and Jax are gorgeous boys! Special needs pets are the best...I have 9 dogs, one of which is Dachshund who was born blind and deaf, and she is the most lovable, charming, boisterous chonk you could ask to meet. She loves everybody, and manages her life no differently than her 8 siblings 🐶💜🐾

I recently watched a video where a couple took in an older cow who was blind, in the water trough they put a solar birdbath sprinkler so she could hear where her water was. They also put up windchimes in her shed. These ideas could be applied to this kind of situation for other people.
