    There is an easier method with just using paper clip...take a look at my video. There are 2 main issues that makes it challenging. #1 alignment of the holes. there are 2 distinct holes from across each other. You want to make use of those 2 holes. #2 hex adapter doesn't line up correctly and is tough to install. Although I also use markers to note the position, but in reality not needed. Also small dab of blue locktite on the screws should help them to stay put. Try the paper clip method and let me know what you think.

    I have seen someone use a paperclip bent into a U shape and put through 2 of the lug holes to keep everything lined up.

    If you have a spare axle bolt that you mount the wheel onto the RC. Put 2 screws in to keep front/back plate in place. Then tighten down the wheel nut onto the axle bolt and it will squeeze the plates together. Once fully tightened, you can then put in the other beadlock screws.

    Good video. Also, if you have long screws that fit, they can reach and tighten. Then use the normal screws, and eventually replace the long ones. If that makes sense. Haha. Have fun!

    FYI don’t mount it on ur axles, I’ve bent one rear axles by putting on the black hub on 1st, then the inner wheel and then the outer rim, by aligning the screw you push down too hard to mount the wheels to the hub, causing the axle to stress and bend. Dang wish I watch his video before attempting the install the stamped wheels lol thanks 🙏🏼 for video was really helpful.

    I like building models, but first time I assembled these I bout had an aneurysm. the clamps are a good idea. I ended up using a very tiny Allen key to line one hole up while screwing the others

  • @sitlos.
    @sitlos. Před 4 lety +1

    Honestly u don’t need clamps if u use the 2 screw method. Just put 2 screws in opposite sides and make sure the wheel opening and screw holes line up and tighten the 2 screws and ur done! If the wheel openings or screw holes don’t line up just rotate in a clockwise direction until they both do and tighten down. It’s way simple once u get it once. Good luck. 👍

    • @2fmrc
      @2fmrc  Před 4 lety

      sit los yeah I just always lose my grip on this or that and it comes apart then I’m having to line it back up etc. I just clamp them so I don’t have to rely on my butterfingers lol. Then sometimes even when I run two screws through them they pop apart and my screw flies out and I gotta start all over. Getting more and more aggravated each time 😂

    If you see a edge or lip poking out then they aren't mounted correctly and will slip the bead. Pushing it in doesn't correctly sit in on the inner peice, it's like that with any rc beadlocks.

    • @2fmrc
      @2fmrc  Před 3 lety +1

      Never have any trouble with any of the larger bead locks. They actually have a good lip to catch. These really don’t have to catch that much. I’ve never had any slip once they were tightened down like this. I did slip my first set but they were half hanging out to start with because I got tired of messing with them lol. Now they are pretty simple to mount up with no issues. I’ve seen some people run regular 1.0 wheels with tires that aren’t even glued lol. Not like most of these trucks have that much power. My brushless setup would rip them straight off though 😂

      I think a lot of it depends on the tires. Some seem really easy and some are just a bit more of a pain. The rok lox I have we’re the absolute worst out of any I’ve mounted. I don’t really like those tires anyway so once I pulled them I never mounted them again lol

    @2FM RC What size is that screwdriver for the lugs? My Dynamite .050 doesn’t seem to work.

    Rc4wd should send 5wheels instead of 4 because this product is such a pain in the ass to install, you’re gonna get angry and end up throwing one into the woods behind your house. Mounting my dirtbike tire to my wheel was easier than these little tiny 1/24 wheels.

    These wheels suck! I just threw them out, they screws suck and everything scratches up easily. What do you want for 20 bucks!

    Worst wheels in the world. Holy cow the main problem is they do not work. Go with TREAL anyone watching this in case this guy is getting a cut from these garbage wheels. How many clamps do I need to put some wheels on? TREAL never had me use those. Wow.
