    1:16 you could maybe add to clear the cache password (control panel > user accounts > credential manager)
    Under windows credentials, clear any Teams related credentials.. this might also help if the problem persist even after re-installing the software..

    Great video! I am looking into doing a course for IT support, and wanted to ask if your day to day mainly consists of doing what you listed in the video or are there a lot of phone calls throughout your day? Thank you in advance 🙏🏼❤️

      Thanks glad you liked the video 😘 hhhmm kinda. Day to day is mostly troubleshooting user issues through tickets they submit that varies from usual computer issues to error messages they get. We don't get a lot of phone calls anymore. Usually the user just submits the ticket for their issues and we resolve them. Goodluck and there's a lot of resources now for IT support courses like Google certification, IBM and CompTIA

    Really like your videos. Do you think it is mandatory to do IT support before trying to get a SOC analyst position? Why or why not? Thanks!

      Thank you! Glad you liked the videos! Hhmmmm I don't think it's madatory to do IT support but it's very important to learn IT fundametals in cybersecurity especially the networking side. Although it helps if you have previous tech experience. I am not working in cybersecurity so I don't think I'm the best person to answer that question to be honest.

    Do you get a lot of/any phone calls as a help desk worker?.

    • @EastCharmer
      @EastCharmer  Před rokem

      We don't really get a lot of phone calls anymore because people open tickets now. And I'm not just helpdesk. I do more than user support

      @@EastCharmer care to elaborate what else you do besides user support..?

      @@fatesteyneit2990 sure, I also do networking work, mostly switching, managing VLANs, firewall changes (ACLs etc), sometimes datacenter work like racking and configuring networking devices and servers. I've also planned and implemented IT projects like deploying Meraki access points MR16 and MR53 and conference room upgrade. Also virtualization through Nutanix and VMware deploying windows and Linux CentOS machines Also worked with IP Phones (Avaya, CISCO). Active Directory administration of course. Also training users on new equipment and systems. Anything else you CARE to ask?

      @@EastCharmer oh, I didn't mean to be condescending (If my question came out like that), I was asking you to elaborate cause I am really curious about what else that you do. I'm hoping to land a job as an IT Support and frankly speaking, your videos are helping me find confidence in myself. I enjoy them a lot, especially the Ticket Thursday series (wish you could do more of them).

      @@fatesteyneit2990 oh sorry about my tone too :( I think I'm so used to people talking down on me all the time. And yeah IT is very broad and the responsibilities also may be different depending on what industry you work for like Medical, Financial, Hospitality, Tech etc. But if you wanna land an IT job, just make sure to learn and practice the basics, OS, hardware, software, Active Directory, troubleshooting, a bit of networking and security. You seem to already have a computer background so I think you'll do well. Thanks for watching the videos. I just got busy working 2 jobs but ticket Thursday will be back soon!
