Hello guys and welcome to the first episode of Ticket Thursday where we talk about real-world IT tickets and their solutions. This will be a regular series on the channel so if you're interested, please keep on watching and I hope you enjoy the series. - Věda a technologie
Make more of these videos, as this is real world work. Too many youtubers just make content that is very theoretical. This is stuff you deal with day to day. Finally actual work being done.
Will definitely do. I'm always asked what kind of tickets we deal with at work and you're right. I think it's really good to show people the actual issues we are working on so they have an idea on what to expect
I am overwhelmed to see the real life work. You are doing a great job to demonstrate us. It will be so helpful and motivating to get a better understanding of IT support for every person watching
Ah yes it can be overwhelming especially dealing with people who have computer issues and requests. There's a lot of factors in this job and it's not just sitting in front of the computer so I'm trying to do my best to show every aspect of this job as well.
Great video. Real world IT ticketing examples. 👍🏽
Thank you! Glad you liked the video. I think many people would like to see examples of actual tickets we are working on

I love you for this! lol Thanks! 🙂
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed the video!
May i ask what kind of It job you do? Im curious.
Im working on getting into help desk right now, i just got my A+ about a week ago.
Also great video!!
I am an IT specialist and we do all around IT work from tech support to implementing projects and training users. We also do a little bit of everything in networking , infrastructure, security and systems. Congrats on getting your A+. Make sure to market yourself out there and keep developing your skills.
@@EastCharmer ah ok that pretty amazing. And thank you so much! will do!!
Good day, first of all i enjoy your videos.
I want to ask how did you resolve the roaming profile issue?
working with end users, I would go crazy after an hour.
very true!!
I have another broad question, which when I was in computers years ago, was not brought up alot. This being what industries/ companies to work for that would bring in the most pay. I was told by a company manager to go at least for the Fortune 500. The Fortune 100 being the best. These are ratings top earning companies get on the NYSE.Its a mixed bag of Investment banks,Energy companies, Defense contractors and now probably Technology companies.
At the time in the 1980,s IT/ computers made comparable salaries with people in Finance, such as CPA,s and accountants.
Social media at that time did not exist,
Oh this is actually the first time I'm asked this. Hmmm I'm not sure what industry pays the most but I agree that those solid companies like fortune 500 for example, pays more and gives more perks and benefits. As for the industries, I think tech companies and financial pays more than average but the pressure and workload is also intense. I think it also depends on the scale of the company. Because there's companies that are in the financial and tech industry that also don't pay a lot. But to be honest, I used to dream of getting into those Fortune 100 companies because of the pay but sometimes it's not worth it when you experience burnout, pressure, toxic work culture and no work/ life balance for years that's why I left the financial industry.
Hi again, East Charmer,
Did you get the CCNA, you mentioned in one of your earlier videos, and what certifications do you have now?
It seems something called the trifecta is popular now.Its a combination of A+,N+ and the Security+601, these all by Comptia.
Hello! I finished my CCNA training but didn't get to take the test because I found a job in IT after my training and got busy with work. And since I was doing actual networking work at my job I decided not to proceed with the certification because they also revised the test that time and I had to study more additional topics. Right now the only active cert I have is AWS Cloud Practiioner (My A+ is now expired) Yes the CompTIA fundamentals are solid certs for those wanting to get into the industry especially those without experience. They also added a new cert for entry level called IT fundamentals which teaches basic IT knowledge and skills.
@@EastCharmer HI East Charmer
Thanks for getting back to me, and I watched other youtubers, who also say certifications were important getting in a job , but become unimportant as years go by. When I was in I.B.M computers there were no certs. If you switched jobs your future employer, just called your last employer and asked what systems you worked on, and for how long. Then they gave you a technical test interview.
Your last employer basically signed off on your experience and length of time you worked. No certs needed,we will see how you perform, that was the norm then.
@@peterliggett8829 No problem! Yeah I would say that certs are really helpful especially for those who have no prior experience or education or transitioning from other field because it shows the employer that you are willing to learn and that you already have a working knowledge on a topic.
Oh I see. That makes sense. I think because it's more competitive nowadays, people take certifications to give them an edge from other candidates. Also, I think it's also an advantage for employers to hire those who are certified coz they don't need to spend time and money on training them for a certain specialization. Certs are also more appealing for people who don't want to go or can't go to Universities because it's really very expensive.
Have you ever worked with or worked in a NOC data center. From what I have read you deal with the MSP or MSSP provider directly. Dealing with QOS issues, VLANS ,Servers and mainly system issues themselves.Any information would be appreciated.
Yes I did. My previous job had a couple of offsite data centers that we worked on. I've done racking networking equipment, replacing broken Netapp and server drives, configuring switchports and some cable management. My job in IT is broad and we do a little bit of everything so I got exposed to different systems even linux, some github administration, firewall changes, conference room setups, Mac machines and more
@@EastCharmer Hey East Charmer, thanks for the response, are you getting involved in any type of cybersecurity.
That's a broad area, but was wondering if have even done a part of it, auditing, pentesting, I know the list is long, just curious?
@@peterliggett8829 No problem. hhmmm I'm not too involved in cybersecurity that much because I was more interested in networking and we also have a "security" team in our company. But we do some "security" that's more for individual machines like antivirus and doing security patches and resolving threats on our antivirus portal.
Hi. May i ask where did you enroll during your a+ and network+?
Hello , I enrolled in our community college that offered training for A+ and cisco CCNA
@@EastCharmer do you know any online courses available?
Maam, video for what are the common issues encountered by tech support please 😊🙏
Sure! I will compile all common issues for IT
