Several years ago I had the pleasure to meet Mr.Tyson. I was his driver when he came to town for 4 different trips. I normally never want to "bother" the celebrities when I have them, but I tried to squeeze out every bit of convo I could while I had him hostage in my vehicle lol. Nothing too deep, but he is genuinely one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. He did a sold out show here in town, and as I patiently waited for the security to bring him out of the side alley way entrance afterwards, he came to make sure I was there to get him back to his hotel. There was a bar directly across the street that many had gone to after the show. A few people realized he had just came out of the building and rushed across the street to say hi and ask for pictures. Most celebrity types get in the car head down so fast noone ever sees them, but he stood out there at a late hour after a long show and talked very generously to the small crowd of people. They were all so excited and happy they got to meet him. After about 15 minutes he got into the vehicle again to go back to the hotel. I felt like the lucky one that I had him all to myself to chat a bit more. The next morning I picked him up and drove him to the airport and off he went. Again, just as nice as anyone could possibly be, and a very generous tipper as well. I have met quite a few people far more "famous" than he is, but to me he really stood above them all. Joe Rogan, please get him back on your show soon!!!!!
When he speaks of objective truth and the truth and laws... I'm curious about what he thinks about all this transgender craziness... Anyway great story, glad you met him, glad he was a generous tipper and nice! I've always liked him.

Joe doesn't answer much about it lol not sure he's ON THT LEVEL. But really at 33:42 Joe Rogan the real "woo" thing that Neil was revealing to us went right over your bald head because you heard the word "observe". 1 photon changing just because it is being observed is not "woo", true Joe. Thanks for dispelling that myth every time you hear it. But don't let making that point render you deaf to the real "woo" point Neil was making: THE OTHER PHOTON CHANGES INSTANTLY. That's woo af. Earlier you said your teacher told you the universe is infinite. Now imagine that second photon is placed as far out into infinity as you can imagine... You change one and the other changes instantly. That's woo. That's like a communication teleporting. TELEPORTING. SAYING, "FUCK THE SPEED OF LIGHT, FUCK ALL NORMAL LAWS OF PHYSICS, FUCK THAT NORMAL SLOW METHOD OF 'TRAVELING FROM HERE TO THERE IN A STRAIGHT LINE' IM JUST GONNA TELEPORT THIS MESSAGE". They have a name for it, maybe that takes a bit of the "woo" out of it for ya. It's called non-locality. Dr. Amit Goswami tried to explain it to you many podcasts ago. Yes don't worry, there's still some woo left in the universe even after the observer effect is dewooified.

He didn't even accept the solution Rogan gave him, he rather be right than solve his problem. But I really like him though, I'm just pointing a minor mistake.

@@VolleyballExplained Some people maybe call Everest K3 and K5 and K17. This is a complete bullshit. Everest is not K1. And I don't even know other people that don't know which is the highest peak. Don't you learn this in School in USA?

I truly wished the educational system would give us, just as much years of dry education as they would give us years to get interested in something. There are so many smart people that are broken before they get to learn the cool stuff. I wished they would listen to Neill.
That "he said you have a sky he can use" line cracked me up so hard 😂😂.
Neil reminds me of the cool teacher in school that you always behaved for and didn't give any shit to
i have that teacher, but i feel like people who misbehave don't have one
@@SweetSword I still misbehaved as a immature kid but never in his class the respect factor made me not want to goof off and disappoint him lol if all my teachers would have been like Neil it would have been amazing
yea, i was just thinking about all the people who misbehaved in my "cool teacher" and forgot everyone is different
Tim Chavis I totally feel that. I had way more respect and admiration for teachers that treated me the same. My friendly teachers, got the utmost respect and attention. Not that the others got disrespected, but no one engages as much.

he meant YOU won't ever use it... smarter students will.

Yea. Mr. Tyson seems like a genuinely kind and a very nice and knowledgeable person. Hope to meet him someday !

Joe: Yes.

Pff who hasnt amiright?
Yes don't worry, there's still some woo left in the universe even after the observer effect is dewooified.
spooky action at a distance... the foundation for Mass Effect communication, and the ansible from 1985 Ender's Game. Have some fun :).

Neil deGrasse Tyson was pretty much forced to acknowledge his false account of Bush's 9-11 speech. It was getting lots of publicity and it was very obvious he was wrong.
However other examples of his wrong history have been brought to attention. And he's done nothing to acknowledge his errors or counter the misinformation he has spread.
The differences between hearing Neil talk and explain his thoughts vs bob lazar trying to explain his is astounding
These two are a match made in heaven. Joe’s gift is wasted on his comedy act. He is brilliant as an interviewer and commentator.❤
