I love that he shows how to play these "open" style chords. Makes the instrument sound so much more interesting than just the more common voicings that we all know. Great video, can't wait to try to learn these pieces!

I don't think I have ever seen anywhere else this "atmospheric" soundtracky feeling that Paul has with his arrangements and sounds. I am a sucker for very simple things that sound so emotional

I literally cried listening to this. I’m a Coldplay fan and yeah, this is the music I live for
I used to jam with a remarkable player who employed these inversions and it certainly added a more varied palette to contrast the usual bar chords us rock and roll diehards will never tire of.TY Paul very much.
Paul, your teaching techniques are by far some of the best on CZcams. The manner in which you present and explain in that ohh Soo calming voice,, elevates the stress and pressures of learning. Atleast for me, I'm not great at guitar but am gradually getting there thanks to people such as yourself. I could only imagine what one could achieve by having one on ones lessons in person. Thank you for all you do for players like myself wanting to reach that next level!!

I was listening to this video on wireless headphones while doing dishes... then, you added some chords and I just had to drop it all and get my guitar to play an accompaniment mini solo to your 3rd tune in this video. Dang its good to have music in my life! Thanks for this cool video Sir. :)
Cool to know I too have made up/arranged that “emotional” chord progression back in 2003 minus the fills and run passing notes. 🙂 You gave me some good ideas to use and branch out in. Love your playing and especially tone.

Dont know if you are still at it but in my experience wich was the contrary, after i started playing guitar my singing got more "in tune", a month after starting the guitar i could just hit the notes felt like magic
